Sarah Bullen is a multi-published author and writing coach and literary agent, leading international writing retreats and adventures in Europe and Africa. She is the author of Write your Book in 100 Days and is a former financial and magazine journalist writing for titles such as Marie Claire, The Guardian, Cosmopolitan and Psychologies UK. ​

Sarah had a life-altering near-death experience in her 30s where she was in a coma for three weeks. Her story has become a book Love & Above: A journey into shamanism, coma and joy. Her latest book The Other Side: Journeys into Mysticism, Magic and Near Death follows on from that and gathers riveting and radical stories of people from Africa, who have crossed to the ‘other side’ or those who can contact it.

Sarah's own story is inspirational. She was just 34 with a young family when her husband discovered he had a brain tumour. As he pursued a shamanic path to fight the cancer, they were both catapulted into a strange and magical world of ritual and ceremony. Alongside hospitals, surgery and treatments, fear and uncertainty came another wilder journey of spiritual searching. Then the impossible happened. As he entered his last weeks of life - Sarah ended up fighting for her own life, in a coma on life support. She was to remain in the coma for four weeks and travelled through near-death and into other realms and worlds.

You might find Kate writing her next book in a quirky café, handmaking bespoke books, (her new hobby) walking a deserted beach looking for heart-shaped rocks at sunrise, cold-water swimming, or whipping up a mean hummus while salsa dancing … When asked, “So, what do you do?” her answer is always a cheeky smile and “I do life!”

Kate has published five books and written 13 online courses.

Kate combines an unusual mix of qualifications and experience. Start with an Industrial Psychology Degree, post-grad Industrial Relations, Master Life Coaching, NLP & EFT. Then throw in five years as a professional aromatherapist & reflexologist and mix that all into a global coaching and retreat business. She cut her entrepreneurial teeth in the wellness industry at 25, wangled a summer as an executive chef in Provence, managed the very sexy Fashion TV Brand at Silverstar, and owned a Harley Davidson. She was handpicked to appear as an expert in the award-winning transformational film “The Secrets of the Keys” (USA) along with current industry leaders such as Brian Tracy, Don Miguel Ruiz, and John Assarraf.

She believes in the possibility that anyone can shift their lives when combining deep intention with a logical step-by-step guide.
