Cape Misfortune Kindle Edition
Don’t ask about the people who are going missing. Locals blame it on other-worldly creatures who use the fog as cover.
Disgraced police woman Deputy Cassandra Dollar is fighting to keep her job after her ex-husband has lied about her. Her shift Sergeant no longer believes a word she says and her new patrol partner is more dangerous than any of the criminals she faces.
Then "The Levitator", an ex-detective-turned-magician, offers to help Cassandra unmask a terrible mystery. Why are people going missing? Where are they being taken to?
Could an old house on a crumbling cliff be the gateway to another world?
Are the disappearances part of a conspiracy that threatens more than Cape Misfortune – maybe the future of the entire planet?

- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2019Enjoy that creepy, perpetually growing fear that comes with a good mystery? Then here you are. From start to finish this book had me dragged in. I read the entire thing while on a plane. From the foreshadowing opening with grandma to the foggy chapters that loom with anticipation, you’ll enjoy yourself and ask “where is everyone going?”
- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2019The Pacific Northwest is dark, mysterious and it’s rocky shores are fraught with danger, myth and worlds beyond the mists. Blending mystery and fantasy, Anderson takes you on a roller coaster adventure ride you won’t want to put down until you’re done.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2019Really enjoyed the second book from this author. Very different from the first but has the same fast pace, surreal elements and black humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pacy, very enjoyable.
A pacy and very enjoyable book. Cape Misfortune is a place of fog, folklore and sinister corporations, where people have been going missing for some time. Cassandra Dollar, a determined, brave policewoman, sets out to discover why, helped by unexpected allies and hindered by any number of foes (some supernatural). The book put me a bit in mind of Dean Koontz with its detective story combining supernatural elements and snappy dialogue. Plenty of action and plot twists and laced with great similes and descriptive prose and dose of wry humour. Highly enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A highly recommended read .
I liked the devestatingly vivid prose. It is sparse, rich and elemental. The words leap off the page with a fully formed vision of the scene which is being described. I like the narrative which spears the soul to its core.. I love the story which is enfolding. It engages all the emotions. The characterisation is excellent. The conversations are real and engaging.
The paranormal is an intriguing and so is this story.
I highly recommend it to anyone not just those who are interested in the paranormal. It is a wonderful read.
