Nancy Pennick grew up and still lives in Northeast Ohio. After a career in teaching, she began writing young adult and romance books. The Waiting for Dusk series includes a historical fiction prequel, Broken Dreams. The sci-fi romance series about time travel has three books-Waiting for Dusk, Call of the Canyon and Stealing Time. The Swedish influences in the series come from her mother whose parents emigrated from Sweden.
Her second YA series-Twenty Nine-had slowly developed over time. One Leap Year, an idea came to her and she created the characters and story based on that special day, February 29.
Nancy has branched out into historical romance with her Clan MacLaren series and romantic suspense, The Secret Billionaire Society and Billionaire's Bride series.

Daisy White writes second chance romance novellas and short stories. Second Chance For Love (and anthology), is published by Satin Romance (an imprint of Melange Books USA)
D. G. Driver is an optimist at heart, and that's why she likes to write about young people making an impact on the world. You'll find among her books a teen environmental activist, a young girl teaching people about autism acceptance and to stop bullying people with special needs, a princess who wants to be more than a prize for a prince, a boy who wins a girl's heart by being genuine and chivalrous, and a girl who bravely searches for a friend lost along the shore of a dark lake. She is a multi-award winning author of books for teens and tweens, but you'll find some romance and horror stories in the anthologies, too. When Driver isn't writing, she's a teacher at an inclusive child development program in Nashville, TN. She might also take a break from writing once in a while to strut the stage in a local theater production. You're guaranteed to find her belting out Broadway show tunes anytime she's driving.
If you discovered a sealed box with "Katie's memories" scribbled on the side, you'd find a lifetime of partially completed stories, plays and musicals. Katie Stephens has opened that box and writes both non-fiction and fiction, where she happily experiments with all genres. Katie has published adult literature in Spark: A Creative Anthology and Mused—The Bella Online Literary Review. She is also a contributing author to Satin Romance at Melange Publishing.
Katie's alter-ego, K.T. Stephens, writes YA and children’s books and is especially enamored of the circus. Just mention acrobats and strongmen and she’ll jump headfirst into this world of magic, color and precision and take you with her! Her pet project is as editor to the Seven Deadly Sins, A YA Anthology series, comprised of authors from the writing community of Scribophile.
Katie/K.T. recently moved with her husband and two adorably obsessive felines from the green rolling hills of Ohio to New Mexico, where the sun shines an astounding 310 days out of the year. Her financial investments now include suntan lotion and dark glasses.
“If, when you wake up in the morning, you can think of nothing but writing...then you are a writer.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke
After hearing this saying in the movie, Sister Act 2, it inspired JT Adeline to push herself forward and make her dream a reality. She is the author of A Day As Dark As Night, and A Day Without A Night, the first two books in The Dark As Night Trilogy. She is currently working on the third and final book to her trilogy; A Day Yet To Come. JT lives in Minnesota with her husband and two grown sons. If she is not writing, you can usually find her in her art room, spending time with family and friends, or outside with her beloved American Bulldog, Mylo.
Caroline Andrus was born and raised in the St. Paul suburbs where she lives with her husband, two daughters, and Henry McCoy—a wild cougar trapped in the body of a house cat.
When she's not working her full time day job and her full time publishing job, she divides her time between writing, designing, and managing her household. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, binging TV shows on Netflix, rocking out to Spotify, and tabletop board games.
She is passionate about both reading and writing teen and new adult fiction, and is pretty sure she will forever be eighteen at heart.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2016Anthology, multiple authors. Worth reading through at least once for anyone who's a fan of romance ^_^ The stories are hopeful and uplifting ( i think) and sure to put anyone is a good mood! Each story left me with a smile on my face at the end. (except two, but that was a writing style issue, not a content/story issue, and wont affect the stars)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2016This book of short stories were based on a second chance of different kinds for each of the main characters in the stories. I enjoyed all the stories but felt some were more engaging than others but that is personal preference. If you are a fan of romance and believe in second chances, this book is the one for you. It is nice to have some short stories to read as some of us don't have a lot of time in this busy world. It would also make a great beach read.
All in all, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone.

According to the song, The Second Time Around by Frank Sinatra, love is lovelier the second time around:
Love is lovelier, the second time around
Just as wonderful, with both feet on the ground
It's that second time you hear your love song sung
Makes you think perhaps that love, like youth, is wasted on the young
Loves more comfortable the second time you fall
Like a friendly home the second time you call
Who can say, what brought us to this miracle we’ve found
There are those who’d bet
Love comes but once - and yet
I'm oh so glad we met
The second time around
The only reason I’m bringing this song up is that I believe it epitomizes the essence of each of the seven short stories contained in this collection. Each story’s protagonist has a different reason for the failure of their first romance each romance, each protagonist’s romantic existence gets further complicated since they’re all a single parent, as they endeavor to find a new love the second time around in their lives.
Each of these seven stories is well-written and delivers a lot to its readers within the average of about 32 pages each story contains, and not a single disappointment in the lot. For giving their readers these delightful stories which are best read one at a time, I’m happy to give this book and its seven authors 5 STARS.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2016Having read and enjoyed stories by one of the authors in this collection in the past, I thought this anthology would be a safe bet. It’s an interesting and diverse compilation of stories about people who are mentally battered and bruised by the trauma of broken relationships that each believed was meant to last forever. This has made them cynical about finding love again, but they all do, and some in the most unexpected ways.
Although I enjoyed all the stories, I’ll only mention a few. The first one ‘Ticket to her Heart’ was unusual and compelling. I particularly enjoyed this author’s crisp, economical writing style demonstrating that rare talent some writers have of painting vast pictures in few words. Traffic cop, Dalton gives single mum, Emily a speeding ticket and is subsequently wracked by his conscience and tracks her down to reassure himself she is okay.
‘A Love for Michelle’ presents a powerful dilemma for the heroine who believes her life can’t get any worse when she loses her job and her boyfriend on the same day. When a new door opens unexpectedly, it looks like it must close just as quickly when she discovers she’s pregnant. I enjoyed this story very much and felt it had the potential to be a much longer one to allow greater development of its interesting characters.
The final story, ‘Unexpected Match Maker was a sheer delight to read. The writing style reminded me of a happy mingling of Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ and an excellent novel I read and loved way back in the 80s called ‘Rumors of Peace’. Told from a perceptive young girl’s perspective, this sweet romance cannot fail to delight.
The great thing about anthologies is the discovery of new authors and ‘Second Chance for Love’ has given me a rich new collection of these to look out for in the future. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Lunch Break Read
Lovely stories - kept me busy reading on my lunch break. Very different styles of writing so hard to pick a fave, but a refreshing change from the magazines I normally pick up to keep me occupied. I have passed the book onto my mother, who I know will get just as much enjoyment from them as i did!
