Five First Dates : A Brother's Best Friend Romantic Comedy (Sassy In The City Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 430 ratings

Every date is my next chance to find love--but my brother’s best friend has his own plans for me. Every perfect rom-com has a twist that leads the heroine to her happily ever after. Me? Somehow, in any room full of Prince Charmings, I always manage to find the one frog. So this time, I’ve found my own twist. Four of my friends will each set me up. Four first dates. Four chances at my own happily-ever-after. My brother’s best friend even offered to watch my baby while I’m out finding true love. Only Maddox has seriously grown up since I saw him last. The guy next door now looks more like the guy on a magazine cover. He’s inked and sexy. Muscular. Utterly irresistible. And… big.
Oh, and did I mention he’s now my roommate? Surely having a brother’s-friend-with-benefits won’t hurt my search for Mr. Right. Especially if he’s my fifth first date…
Five First Dates is a romantic comedy with a tattooed bad boy roommate, a feisty heroine, an adorable baby, and a Happily Ever After.

When it comes to men Savannah’s experience has shown her that her judgment can’t be trusted which is how she finds herself a single mother to her son Sully. Her friends have decided to take matters into their own hands and arranged four date with four different men.

Maddox is her brother’s best friend and is staying with her while he films a reality show and in return he will help her out with her son. He has been attracted to Savannah for years and he isn’t about to let the opportunity go to waste and is determined to show her that the fifth date is the only date she needs.

Maddox is not the boy she remembers, and she is very attracted to the man that he has become both physically and emotionally which leads to some hot and humorous interactions. This is an enjoyable story that is sure to bring a smile to your face.

If you are looking for a cute falling for brother's best friend romance and a single mom read then look no further the Five First Dates. You will find Maddox to be total swoon worthy. There is nothing sexier then a tattooed man caring for a baby. I love Maddox and the way he goes after Savannah. He always known who he wanted and watching Maddox get closer to Savannah is so much fun to watch. I love Savannah and all her friends. They will make you giggle for sure when it comes to setting Savannah up on dates. Savannah is super sweet and trying to do the best she can being a single mom. She didn't see Maddox coming at all. You will love the banter between Maddox and Savannah. They have this chemistry that is hot and so sweet. I loved every moment of this one.

What a great ride!!! “Five First Dates” is such a great book, you won’t be able to put it down either! Savannah and Maddox are such wonderful, fleshed out characters that you’ll feel like they’re your friends instead of just in a book. Erin McCarthy is an amazing author who writes the best books!!! Going by the title and the first book you think you know what you are in for. Totally not. You don't have the rich male poor female. You don't have the sneaking around hiding from everyone really. You don't even have 5 first dates. BUT you do have a great love story that fits all those things and not at the same time. Totally breaks the single mom, Manny and even the tattooed male character stereotypes. Loved it so much.

Now, now, no judgement. Maddox heart was of pure gold and knowledge. It saw, plotted, and put itself out there with no regrets. It gave and gave. Should everyone how a heart should treat others and make them feel. It engaged with friends and took baby spit like a champ. What it did above anything else was show Savannah that is functioned without pause or doubt. It romanced when it really was just being itself.

Maddox heart did to Savannah what should have been done to her by so many. Be transparent. Be everything and there to beat for the long haul. Erin delivered again with fun straight forward advise and passion. Made friendship fun with no BS. Truthism when you needed them. Eye opening until it was time for the ending credits. Grand gesture be darn.

A quick, steamy, read worthy of the beach. Language and hot scenes so caution if you don't like the strong stuff. Older woman - younger man. Not a bad read at all.

She's a new mom with a 6 month old. Her ex boyfriend wants nothing to do with a child. Just crazy and fun to read. Likeable characters that deserve happiness.

A great younger man/slighty older woman story. Maddox has loved Savannah since he was a teenager but she's only just figured out he has grown into the man for her. With a variety of people giving advice, they still find each other in the end. Very enjoyable!
