Always A Sinner: A Brooklyn Sinners Novella Kindle Edition
The road to happily ever after is a bumpy one for Angel and his cop.
Gabe Ashby has given up much for love but harbors no regrets. On the first night of moving into his new home with his lover, Angel, the men couldn’t be more in love. Until a chance discovery puts a damper on their bliss.
In the middle of the night, Angel opens a drawer, intent on waking his lover with pleasure. What he finds instead throws his faith in Gabe off track and threatens the new life they’d hoped to create.
Previously published as free read. No new content has been added.
Please note: The events in Always a Sinner take place after Angel appears in the Poconos and before the epilogue of Love the Sinner. As such, Always A Sinner is NOT a standalone. It is strongly advised that you read LTS first. You will be lost otherwise. Contains scenes of violence, some angst, and as always, more heat than you can handle. HEA guaranteed.

About the author

A Grenadian transplant, Avril now lives in Tucker, GA, with a madly tolerant husband. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who’s pretty meh about reading and school. Avril’s earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing the plot points of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother.
Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of ’09 and never looked back. She’s been nominated for numerous awards, including Best Author, Best series (Brooklyn Sinners), and Favorite All-Time Author. In 2013 Avril won Evernight Publishing’s Reader’s Choice Award for the LGBT (Male/Male) category. Recently she took home the Golden Ankh award for best Male/Male romance for her bestselling novel, Sinner’s Fall.
Addicted to cake, the ID Channel, and the UFC, Avril writes Gay and Erotic Romance with happy endings; she remains a believer of love in all its forms.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAvril Ashton as always comes through with the gut wrenching feelings and super sexy love scenes ! This Brooklyn Sinners Novella doesn’t disappoint, it starts out on Gabe And Angel’s first night of moving into their new house so you must read Love the Sinner first !But the the whole series is worth a read and don’t forget the audio books !
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2022Format: KindleThis novella about what happened with Gabe and Angel (aka Rafe) was better than the actual full novel. In this novella, I got to really know the characters, their likes/dislikes, and issues that needed to be flushed out between them to make their relationship work. All this should have been included in the original novel.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseRafe and Gabe still bring me to tears almost with their passion gahhhh lol I love it. Will be reading the next novella shortly lol.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThese. Two. DRAMA QUEENS. My goodness.
It’s like they take turns freaking out about stuff. And not just any freak out. It’s “this relationship is over,” “we are done,” “ I’m running away to lick my wounds.” Oy. Gabe and Angel (Rafe) are WORK.
Rafe freaking out over the letters was unnecessary drama. How could he be mad about A) letters written after he had already broken up with Gabe and B) a letter he didn’t even read all the way to the end! 🤨
Gabe freaking out about having children was a little more reasonable, but running away for three weeks with no contact with Rafe was dramatic. Which then led to Rafe running away. And on and on they go. Of course it all works out. Of course I like them together at the end. I just wish it hadn’t been so dramatic. Two stars because their sex is, ugh, so hot.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseRevisiting the love story of Pablo and Shane was wonderful. I feel about Jackie Boy even worse than I do about the Marshall. I didn't think that was possible. Jack Wellington needs to lose his job as he sucks as a handler. Brooklyn comes to the rescue (Whoot Whoot)

5.0 out of 5 stars Grueling
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseGabe and Angel are finally starting the next chapter in their lives, but it is not as smooth as one might think.
When Angel wakes up in the middle of the night and decides to surprise Gabe, he is the one that gets the surprise when he finds letters that Gabe wrote to him in prison. This starts a series of misunderstandings that could lead to the end of the couple or bring them closer together.
Avril works her magic and has the reader wondering if the couple will actually get their happy ever after that they have been working so hard for.
Love the Sinner was the first book I ever read by Avril Ashton so this couple holds a special place in my heart. I was cheering them on, but even I was wondering if this would be the end. If you loved Gabe and Angel's original story, this gives you a glimpse into their continuing romance.
