- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2022Brighton was working for his father and their furniture business in Galena and he was to be the one to take his place as soon as his father retired even though he was not sure that was happening anytime soon. Lily's grandmother lived in Galena and she was on her way there to help take care of her, her parents rented a house down the street from her grandmother so they could maintain their own space. Lily is upset because her grandmother was worst than she suspected. She decided while her grandmother was resting on the day she arrived that she would go to the bar in town and found when she arrived that she and another person enjoyed the same kind of drink so it was always stocked so before she finished her first drink the other person came in and sat down from her and the bartender informed her of the other person they introduced themselves and had an enjoyable evening and ended up going back to her place when everything went wild and even though she was drunk she sobered up quickly. They were both shocked because what happened to Brighton before he came to the bar was the reason for what was going on at this time at her house. A paranormal action adventure full of suspense and mystery, romance, unpredictability, secrets, and love. I purchased the book. I volunteered an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2022This is an interesting take on wolf shifters, and it seems I've read the last book in the series first. It's about the youngest brother, his dreams, his ideas. How one wolf bite turns his world upside down and into his brother's' world. There are plenty of explanations and the shifter world quickly comes into view. His new girlfriend Lili has a secret and knows how to handle Brighton when he makes his first shift. The characters are well-developed and the chemistry between each of the characters reflects the relationship between each other. It was a great way to end a series.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2020This book was awesome from the first page to the last. Perfect in every way. And some really hot sex scenes too. Get all three books of you do not already have them. These have been some real good stories and have kept me entertained while reading them.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2020Wonderful story to this series about the Holbrook brothers who live in the city of Galena, Indiana. This story is about the youngest brother, Brighton. Brighton is working at his father's furniture company and wondering when his father will retire so he can run the company. When his brothers call for a get together at a pub, he agrees. While drinking, Brighton senses they're hiding something and when he overhears they plan a meeting out in the woods, he decides to go there. When Brighton arrives he sees his brothers change into wolves and gets chased and scratched. In a daze Brighton goes back to the pub to drink where he meets Lily. Lily just out of college and expected to take over her parents company just moved to Galena to watch over her sick grandmother. After checking out her grandmother, she decides to get a drink and stops a pub near her place and Brighton asks if he can join her. As the night progresses, they go to her place and Brighton starts to feel worse and changes into a wolf. Lily hums and calms the wolf and Brighton changes back to a man full of questions. What happens next is a wonderful story with romance and discovery as Lily tries to help Brighton, but why does Lily know so much about shifters? I loved all the books about the Holbrook brothers and this did not disappoint me. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via booksprout.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2020Brighton Holbrook and Lily Tucker are trapped in the shadows of their parents as the heir apparent of their respective businesses. They are ready to take on more responsibility but their parents aren’t ready to surrender control. Both chafe under their parent’s scrutiny.
When Brighton graduated college and returned home to take on the family business, working out of a closet under the technologically absent yoke of his father was not what he envisioned. His father’s refusal to acknowledge Brighton’s potential leaves him feeling isolated and bitter. His older brothers, once close, have closed off from him in the year following their marriages to their wives. He senses that Christian and Eric are keping a mutual secret from him and might be avoiding him.
Unable to take on the family business, Lily has been refining her professional education in Southern Maryland. Her parents express their desire for Lily to take over but they aren’t ready to retire yet. Instead, when Lily’s grandmother needs someone local to her to take care of her, they send Lily off to be grandma’s caretaker. Without much protest or fanfare, Lily heads out to Galena, Illinois to care for her grandmother.
Brighton’s curiosity over a whispered conversation between his brothers at lunch draws him out to the middle of the woods which set his life and Lily’s into a collision course into the world of the Galena Shifters.
A Dangerous Curiosity continues to follow the Holbrook shifter brothers in Galena, Illinois. I would like to take a moment to admire the ease of the Tuckers to locate, buy, and fully furnish a house within a block of Grandma’s house for Lily.
I really liked our female point of view character this book, Lily is a nice change from Libby and . Don’t get me wrong, Libby and Misty are good characters. They aren’t damsels waving their fans waiting to be rescued but Lily is far more focused on her future and more independent than the others. I got a better sense of who Lily was without Brighton which allowed me to relate to her better. It makes me only look slightly sideways as she falls into the trope of being teased for being single.
Brighton, our male point of view character seems rather grounded. He’s not really looking for love and he’s mostly feeling the little brother syndrome. Both of his brothers got married and aren’t spending as much time with him as they used to. The other Holbrook brothers found love so there’s that family pressure to settle down, coupled with the need to prove himself as a capable businessman and adult.
Overall, the story moves quickly and we experience Brighton and Lily differently than the other Holbrook couples since this seems to be more themed about establishing your place in the shadows of those that came before. Christian and Libby’s story felt more like breaking out of a rut while Eric and Misty’s story was about second chances.
A Dangerous Curiosity was a lean, fast paced story that is filled with mystery. It feels like a sweet conclusion to the series but there is still room to continue. There are many questions still hanging in the air that I hope will be addressed if there is a next book. Paranormal romance fans should be able to consume this book in a few hours and savor the sweetness as they wait for the next installment.
My thanks to Renee Carr for providing me an advanced reader copy of Dangerous Curiosity for review.
