Young love is apopular topic for romance writers, and with good reason; it comes withoptimism, energy, and an enormous potential for drama. Tamara Ferguson is atalented romance writer who doesn't leave any of those aspects untapped in thisdelightful story of young lovers fighting to keep their romance alive againstthe reality of young adulthood. Drew in particular is depicted excellently as ayoung man whose experiences have changed his outlook but not his personality;he is an excellent romantic lead. The unifying theme of their love for music isan excellent one, and I almost felt as if the book should come with a mixtapeto listen to whilst I read it. The depiction of their passion for music and howthat bleeds over into passion for each other was wonderfully done, and I'dhappily recommend A Kiss Beneath A Strawberry Moon to all fans of romanticliterature.

With onecharacter pursuing a music career, under the guidance of her overbearingmother, and the other being drawn into the military, barely to make it homealive, the storyline is solid with believable characters, each filled withcompassion and a love of animals. It is this which initially drew me to thestory, as well as that of the ice hockey match which made Tim and Emily's lovepossible. I found the way in which the two main characters come back into eachother's lives time and time again extremely clever, regardless that they werenot related or bound by mutual friendships. I very much enjoyed A Kiss Upon AStar, and look forward to the second and subsequent books in the Daydreams& Dragonflies Sweet Romance series. I recommend this tale to readers overthe age of 15 years who share alove of chance encounters, road blocks, bumpyroads, and happily ever after~

While I never did feel a lesseningin my antipathy toward the controlling parent, I found Ferguson's othercharacters to be authentic and caring individuals who I enjoyed getting toknow. I'm familiar with Dragonfly Pointe from Ferguson's other novels based inthat locale, and, as with those other tales, found myself happily involved inthe goings on in that most magical of places. Emily and Tim's romance hasplenty of obstacles in its way, but love this powerful has its way of gettingaround the largest stumbling points, especially in Crystal Rock.     A Kiss Beneath the Strawberry Moon is a sweet story about first love set against a delightful backdrop of musical performances. I loved this background because my daughter, like the main character, Marielle, also is a sublime singer. All of the descriptions of practices, performances, etc. was very realistic and brought me back to that time in our life. ;o)

    A quick read, this book not only tenderly treats young love with insight and understanding, but it gives hope about the morality of some young men. Marielle’s love, Drew, is an upstanding young man who has suffered greatly through the loss of his mother and the horrible appearance of his new step-mother. He escapes that trauma by living in a cottage on a lake (I want to live there!) and yet when he meets Marielle, he is kind and understanding and always does what is right for her. I loved that and secretly wished my daughters could find a man like Drew.

    I don’t want to spoil the story, so I’ll just allude to the fact that this story is linked in location and a sub theme to the Wounded Warriors series. Marielle and Drew’s love is tested by terrible circumstances, but thankfully Ms. Ferguson doesn’t disappoint, and gives us all the happily ever after ending we crave.

    This book is appropriate for young adults and teens and has no graphic sex or violence. Another plus! Great job, Tamara Ferguson.
