A Phoenix Christmas (Out for Justice Book 6) Kindle Edition
It's a dog gone Christmas!
The plan was to gather at Noah and Mac’s place for a holiday celebration, but when the couple’s nine-year-old Labrador Retriever goes missing, the men and women of Phoenix descend on the city of Alameda. The neighbors and local cops get involved in a search that stretches from the streets of downtown to the rocky beaches.
The unit swears they will find the pooch, but when hours pass with nothing, Noah fears the worst.
This MM short Christmas romp is filled with badass alpha men searching for a beloved K-9, and heaven help anyone who gets in their way. In typical Reese Knightley style, A Phoenix Christmas is a fast paced, multi POV, action packed short story with guns, bad guys, a standoff, and a tiny little explosion. What else would you expect from An Out for Justice Holiday?
*This book includes all the characters from the Out for Justice series, so while it’s not necessary, reading the series is helpful.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2024Loved this glimpse into the Phoenix family! Fun to see all the couples/families and the “havoc” they get into no matter where they are.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2020Revisiting the Pheonix group for Christmas was great. There had to be some drama thrown in to keep it interesting. These guys are the best.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2022It was great to read about all the guys in the series. I enjoyed all 5 books and I was happy to catch up with what was happening a year or so later.
But additionally it makes us yearn for more….Rossi, Stefano, Quick, Jagger, Jordan, Jacob, Reggie! We want their stories too. Although secondary characters they blazed across the pages of the series as well:)
Reese K did a phenomenal job on this series. Deserving 10 stars at least. The twisting story lines, non stop action, character development & connection and romance was just right. She has now become one of my go to Authors!
And I am happy and ready to start reading her next series….

- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2023This was an interesting quick read that chad an entertaining string of events that was quite typical for the guys to get into. I wish there had been a little more to it.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2024This is two years down the line at Christmas. The gang is all together except for one or two people. There are new people in the unit, kids have aged and parents are part of the gathering. They're gathering at Mac and Noahs' house and everyone is taking food. There's my first hiccup. I can't imagine having that much food, even for all of those big guys, partners, parent and kids. I would have liked to see a mention of a soup kitchen or shelter that could use it. The second hiccup were the dogs. Near the end, when a female dog joins the group, they talk about 'letting' her have a litter of pups. 1. Isn't Havoc neutered? If not, why not?
2. 'Letting' a dog have puppies when there are thousands out there in shelters is just wrong. If she's not already spayed (by the end of the book, no vet checkup was done) GET HER SPAYED.
Aside from those two things, I enjoyed the book, just as I've enjoyed the entire series. It was a quick read; I think it took me about an hour.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2022What a way to reconnect with everyone and have an adventure at the same time, than to have a dog named, “Havoc”, start the adventure by turning up missing?! This was a lovely holiday story for the “Out for Justice” series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very short story, and in the spirit of Christmas, it scores a five.
Everybody in Phoenix has a wonderful time at the party, especially the kids. With the side bar of a crack house in the neighbourhood exploding, the operatives even get some work/adventure in. And, accustomed as we are to some romance, fitting the bill perfectly is Havoc, who escapes through an open gate and hooks up with Lady, a golden retriever. Mac is appalled, Noah is excited. All in all, a lovely short story.
