Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis as well as part of the year in Bradenton, Florida, USA. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing. Now, when she's not imagining mind-blowing twists and turns, she likes to spend her time with her friends and family, including her beloved grandchildren.

    If you’re a lover of Aleathas dark side and you haven’t taken the leap to her light side you’re missing out! This book was just as good as her other lighter ones!     This was so sweet. I absolutely adored Trevor. He was so quiet, smart, sexy and kind. It was Shana who brought out the sassy confident side of Trevor. Normally he was not one that was good with the ladies. He tried but didn’t do very well because he was awkward in talking to them. With Shana he didn’t feel awkward and they talked about everything and anything.

    Shana was smart, independent sweet and kind. she was one that was only forward and felt confident outside of work when she was around Trevor. These two met and his brother and her best friend married each other. It was fun and flirtatious and the spark they had shone like a diamond. Only she lived in London and he was in Washington. They tried to talk but fear on Shana’s part had that slowly dissolve. Suddenly she is in NY with a chance at a promotion and he is there for a bachelor party and now works there. They get a chance moment where he can’t take his eyes off her but believes it is a dream. ONly it wasn’t and they meet again. This time he doesn’t let her go and he has some really romantic moments with her while she is in town.

    These two have a explosive chemistry and the intimacy goes beyond the bedroom and is sexy and vivacious in both arenas. They complement each other and he is so supportive of her job and career. I hated seeing what she was going through career wise. It was heartbreaking but also showed her resilience and belief in herself. I was glad that Trevor did not let the possibility of distance keep him from her. He was so caring and sweet. Loving and just wonderful.

    The story gave us both Shana and Trevor’s POV. I liked Shana’s for it showed her emotions and what she was truly thinking. She was going through a lot so seeing her perspective was great. Her emotions were more bottled than Trevor’s but there nonetheless. Trevor’s view was more swoony. He showed us his romantic side but also his overthinking side. That ending was swoon city. Trevor was the perfect guy for her. Her assistant was another great character in the book I do hope we get his story next. A great, entertaining and sexy romance that has you smile. There isn’t any angst in the romance just two people in love trying to find a way to close the miles and be with one another.

    This was a fabulous sequel to Plus One. In this book we meet Kimbra’s best friend, Shana, and Duncan’s brother, Trevor. We first meet Shana when she arrives at the hotel right before her best friend’s wedding and she is having a drink to unwind and a sexy guy, Trevor, approaches her. There is an instant attraction between the two and after talking for a little bit they both realize they are in town for the same wedding. A crazy night ensues between them and they realize that they need to act like nothing is happening between them since they don’t want to overshadow the wedding and they both live in different places. Fast forward one year and they are both still thinking, dreaming, missing the other one. They both happen to be back in New York City and happen upon each other by accident or maybe fate. The attraction is still there for both of them. But they only have a limited time together before Shana has to possibly go back to London for her job, this time limit is hanging over both of there heads but they make sure to enjoy every minute with each other.
    These two were perfect for each other. They never played games with each other they just enjoyed what they had and with hopes that it wouldn’t end after the two weeks. I absolutely loved how the book ended. Any other ending would not have been as satisfying. I loved meeting Shana’s bff, Stephen, and seeing Kimbra and Duncan as a married couple.

    This was indeed a fun, sweet, light read. And while I did enjoy it for the most part, it just fell just a bit flat for me in a couple places. The preceding novella "A Secret One" had so much promise IMHO and I felt like certain parts of this full length novel just didn't reach that same level of anticipation and sizzle for me consistently. Additionally, the H keeps calling the h "my lady" and that just felt out of place too. I think I understand that the author was trying to portray modern day chivalry in the H's character, but it just felt like a misplaced recency romance term with the redundancy of its use. Don't however, let my minor pet peeves stop you from grabbing this book for a nice rainy day read when you want something light and fun to read. Shana and Trevor are are fun characters to get to know and a really sweet couple who's HEA you'll want to root for.

    I love this authors writing, no matter what it is always superb. This version is her light, romantic , witty, believable and extremely easy to read type. Once started, it remains attached to your wrist, hand pillow, where ever you read and are comfortable. Shana is a character, that is both resourceful, beautiful, humorous and humble. Trevor is handsome, physically and athletically built, with a gorgeous temperament and a very witty side. The two met a year ago at his older brother’s wedding. When Shana’s best friend married Duncan, and was chief bridesmaid and he was best man. The plot developed and progresses through this marvellous story. Easy to read, a fabulous feel good factor, with a guaranteed HEA, but there is a twist, intrigue and suspense as well. Well worth 9 stars but only able to give 5.
