All The Little Things: A Brother's Best Friend Romance Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 1,006 ratings

From USA Today bestselling author Rachel Leigh comes an angsty brother's best friend, standalone romance.

Four years ago my life was forever changed.

One kiss.

One moment.

Five words.

“Enjoy all the little things.”

That’s what Ryker said the night before he vanished from our lives for good.

So that’s what I did. I lived each day like it was the last—embracing all life had to offer.

Now he’s back in town and staying with me as a favor to my brother.

Being alone with Ryker is dangerous.

His eyes intoxicate me.

His touch tempts me.

He doesn’t look at me like I’m a little girl anymore.

And I’m ignoring the fact that he’s my brother’s best friend.

He dared me to live.

I dared him to love.

The first kiss almost killed me.

But the second one brought me back to life.

BROTHERS BEST FRIEND ROMANCE

BROTHERS BEST FRIEND ROMANCE
In true Jenn fashion, went in blind 🤣 [its actually rare I read a summary of a book. Idk why. TOXIC 😂] This is a brothers best friend and Second chance romance. Forced proximity. All the feels. Kit was swooning over her brothers best friend Ryker when she was only 15 years old. After an event took place, Ryker fled town without so much as a goodbye. Years later, he comes back. And is asked to ‘babysit’ her while her brother and dad go away. At 18 years old she doesn’t need a babysitter but Kit has a health condition. One thing leads to another and well… some forced proximity and feelings that never went away come flying back between the two. But it turns out Ryker has some secrets of his own. First kiss on the cheek made her fall. But his second kiss….. quite literally brought her back to life. SWOON when you read it. I won’t hold back either, I did ugly cry at the end after the most heart breaking situation came about. 😭 I don’t think it requires a trigger but I’ll throw it here just incase. But all in all, MUST READ! Loved it!

You guys, this book. Talk about an emotional roller coaster that hit me straight to heart and soul. Kit has been in love with Ryker her whole life. Being that he's her brother bestfriend she got to see him daily. But she's left with her heart shattered when he's no longer around. Ryker hasn't had it easy growing up, but he lucked out with a bestfriend like Carter and his family. But what happens when his feelings start to change and lines begin to blur when his best friend's sister is not so little anymore?

Kit and Ryker's story is a delicious slow burn that had me at the edge of my seat anticipating their next moves. At times I yelled at my tablet willing them to get together faster! Their story is beautifully raw and had me in tears. That twist towards the end nearly broke me though. I'm telling you guys Rachel wrote an incredible story that has you believing in soulmates and first loves. I can't wait to read this book again and again.

This book was so much more than I expected. What I expected was a nice brothers best friend romance but what I was given was way much more. Kit and Ryke have always been connected as friends since they were kids with him being her brothers best friend. As years progress a innocent kiss on the cheek and a promise to appreciate the little things in life changed how they viewed each other. However, with Ryke’s family trouble he had to leave his town and start a life somewhere else. When Ryke left Kit grew up and changed the way she viewed life. With Kits heart condition being a major part of her life she represents her struggles as she grows older. When Ryke returns to town to watch over her she wants to jump into his arms but she’s also angry at him for leaving. They both gave many challenges which I why I enjoyed this book so much because it showcased to to perfectly imperfect characters and how they were meant for each other. I was so heartbroken when Carter passed away. I was in tears when Ryke and Kit found out, especially having Carters heart being the transplant for Kits new heart. This whole story was emotional and a love story. I loved the epilogue with them being married and having a child, including Kit becoming a writer which I was surprised with but glad. A great read that gave more than expected.

This book has official wrecked me. Two days later and I still get teary thinking about it. I haven’t ugly cried with a book in a LONG time. This book, broke that and I was a blubbering mess and threw my kindle down.

That being said, the relationship between Kit and Ryker was absolutely perfect and adorable. Rykers best friend is Carter, Kits brother. All three grew up together and were inseparable until they got older and went separate ways in high school and Ryker up and left without a trace. Carter the overprotective big brother didn’t want anyone touching his sister, especially with her chronic health issues.

After a health scare, Kit was now in need of a babysitter. Ryker came to stay with Kit. The animosity between them was strong despite the sexual tension that was palpable since the book started when Kit was 14. Kits strength to get through all she has with her life and heart condition it amazing and admirable. I loved everything about her. Ryker, so damn swoony. 🥰 The ultimate protector of his loved ones and will do anything to keep them safe.

Seeing the love grow and heartbreaks mend between Kit and Ryker was perfect. The closures they needed and got at the end were like a damn nail to the heart, but it was the only way they would be able to move on. I’m not saying it lightly that this book is heavy, and will definitely pull on the heart strings, but the love between them is one of my favorites I read in a while.

⚠️ heavy topics such as as@ult, abu$e, murd€r and chronic health conditions ⚠️

I liked this book well enough. It was a sweet brothers best friend romance with some sick-lit strewn in and some extra drama and tragedies solidifying the love of our two main characters.

Ryker has grown up the best friend of Carter and close to his little sister kit who is two years their junior. Feelings developed in high school but they were off limits and ignored. When ryker moved unexpectedly, kit was furious and wrote him off. That was until he returns to spend the week with her while her family is on a trip.

You can’t fight feelings that strong and kit and ryker are ready to explore this. Not everyone’s okay with it though. This story has its own version of a hea and makes you believe in fate and love above all else!

This review is going to be short and sweet because I don’t want to give away much of the story.

Right before I jumped in, I was advised by trusted friends to go in blind and not to check the reviews at all.

I’m so happy that I took their advice because I feel like I was able to really allow myself to get invested without the dread of potential heartbreak.

While there is heartbreak, the HEA is so worth it. The love between Kit and Ryder is undeniable and the pull between these characters while they fought their feelings was amazing to see.

It’s beautiful to watch a love that like flourish when there is so much stacked against them. If you haven’t read it, please do and make sure you have tissues and your support system close by.

Oh my this book is one of the best book that I have ever read. Wow it puts into perspective that you really should appreciate ALL THE LITTLE THINGS!!!

Wow!! Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. Kit and Ryker were always meant to be no matter what. They have known each other for years but when something happens and Ryker had to leave town Kit didn't think she would ever forgive him for it. Carter is Kit's brother and they have an amazing relationship together and he will protect her with his life he loves his sister so much and these 3 together are so close. Kit has a heart condition and she has to be very careful because there is so much that can make her end up in the hospital, but Carter, Ryker and her father will do anything in there power to keep her safe.

This book will break your heart and path you up. This author has written a master piece with her words in this book and the journey that these characters have to go on is so emotional and will keep you gripped until the very end. I loved the story, I love the plot and all the twists especially the very big big twist that had my jaw hitting the floor and I absolutely loved all the characters and how this author has brought them to life on the page is so so amazing. I highly highly recommend that every one read this book and have your tissues to hand. This is a fantastic story that will have your heart aching.
