    For hundreds of years, Stephan convinced himself that his late friend Barbara was his consort. Of course he never really knew the truth because she rejected him before he could touch her. And then several years later she took ill and died. So imagine his surprise when keeps Amaia from tripping and she falls into his arms. Now Stephan discovers his thought process was completely wrong. And then Amaia overhears a conversation Stephan has with his cousin related to Barbara and she runs away. Stephan involves his brothers and cousins to help him find Amaia. It takes all of them to save Amaia and another future consort from a nest of nightwalkers. Stephan now explains his history to Amaia and the rest is love, lust and magnetic attractions. Not to mention all the magic Stephan uses in this story. Really good book.

    I love this series as they are great quick reads but full of character development, heat & a quick plot. This series also has a great twist on the fated mates where both individuals come in as virgins, not just the traditional female.

    This story revolves around another of the day walker sets of cousins that we met in the first three books. Liam was convinced that he lost his consort (fated mate) centuries ago before he could claim her, but he received the shock of his long lifetime at finding her at Christmas dinner. Amaia has known for years that she was a consort, destined to find a day walker vampire that was her fate, but after years of searching, she isn’t he much luck.

    This is a great faced paced, heat filled story that is great for any vampire romance lover.

    I’m so in love with these books! It seems like it’s been a while since we got a new set of fated mates from Fiona Davenport, but they always come through with a swoon worthy supernatural romance.

    Liam’s story was built up in previous books that showed he was not looking for a mate because of his past and he was a bit of a grump. The best love stories always have the H start off as a grump until he meets his one, and this is exactly what you’ll get with Liam and Amalia! They fall fast into insta-love when the bond kicks in unexpectedly, and it was such a hot and exciting story from start to finish. Read this and the book bundle with extra epilogues of the previous books in this series!

    If insta-love immediatly making babies and forever aren't your thing, that's ok. But that means this isn't the book for you. If it is, then you're probably already a Fiona Davenport fan and this will just be another book added to your collection.

    I enjoyed this work and eagerly look forward to the next book in the series.

Great plot, likeable characters and red hot romance. Highly recommended.
