Can hearts be restored and hope renewed?
After enduring a tumultuous two-year relationship, Olivia Millford travels overseas to start afresh and put the hurt from her relationship breakdown behind her. With the scathing words from her boyfriend Nick, ingrained into her thoughts, Olivia discovers just how much she has moved away from God's truth by allowing Nick's lies to define her.

Clint Hamilton is a doctor contracted at Brookvale Regional Hospital. Burnt out from work and a soured relationship, the hospital has been his home for the past twelve months as he made a tree change from the bustling metropolis of Vancouver.
Building walls to protect his heart, Clint vows to focus on his career as he makes a new start in the small town.

Together in the small community of Brookvale, Clint and Olivia must deal with the past they both long to leave behind in order to find a future filled with hope. Will Clint's defenses fall in order to move forward? Will Olivia allow God to work in her heart, or will she allow the lies and negativity from her past to continue to shape her?

With loveable characters and a gorgeous winter setting, A Winter's Hope is a sweet, heartwarming Christian romance you will want to curl up with.

Kristen M. Fraser is a Christian fiction author, residing in beautiful Queensland, Australia with her husband and four children. She drinks way too much coffee, has a far too messy house, and probably doesn’t get enough sleep. When she’s not being the family Uber driver, or making a gazillion school lunches, Kristen loves running, climbing mountains, spending time at the beach, and given a moment of solitude (ha!), curling up with a good book.

Although her books are works of fiction, Kristen believes everyone has a story to tell. As such, she takes inspiration for her writing from people’s everyday lives - their struggles and successes. It is her prayer that you will be encouraged and inspired by her words.

This has all the signature Hallmark 'feel goods', and with a good mix of Christian faith it is a near perfect Christmas romance.

The town and people sounded like a place people would want to live or at least visit. Who wouldn't want to be with people that are accepting and friendly. Also liked how the story relayed how the Lord heals the broken hearted as well as the sick.

A Winter's Hope is a lovely romance story. Though the majority of the story takes place in a small town in Canada, the main character, Olivia, was from Australia. I presume the author is also Australian as the spelling and word choices appeared to be more Australian English. It took me a moment when at the beginning of the story Olivia exclaimed to herself "The hide!", referring to a man at the coffee shop, to realize that it most likely is a common Australian expression. Personally, I love reading stories by authors from other countries for exactly this reason.

The descriptions were enjoyable. As the story began, I was transported to a remote, frozen small town on the other side of the world from everything I've known, traveling at night through wintry conditions, bouncing around in a small car driven poorly by my new boss's wife.

The story was about healing from emotionally abusive relationships, and finding healing in God. The author did a fairly good job of making these lessons appear natural, though it was done mostly by learning from sermons in a church service. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The story was worth the time it took to read it. I'm grateful to the author for this opportunity and hope you will give her book a chance as well.

Loved how this story was filled with the hope our Savior provides us with each and every day. We must rely on Him and put our faith in Him as he knows the plans He has for us.

A good story of immigration to another country & second chances. Both characters left a larger city for small town Canada in order to start over & leave a bad relationship behind. I enjoyed the encouraging sentences from Olivia's point-of-view.

A Winter's Hope by Kristen M. Fraser is a sweet Christmas romance set in Canada. Olivia is a young nurse from Australia that has just moved to Canada to serve as a nurse in the hospital. She is living on the hospital campus and has quite an adjustment to the snow and harsh winters of Canada. Olivia has committed to serving in Canada for a year and she is also getting over a breakup. At the hospital, she meets a kind doctor named Clint. They are thrown together in different situations. Olivia has to figure out where she belongs and to battle self doubt from her old relationship. This was a sweet romance and I would recommend it as a fun read for the holidays. I received a digital copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

A Winter's Hope by Kristen M. Fraser is a love story about Olivia Millford and Dr. Clint Hamilton. She is a nurse from Australia who broke up with her negative boyfriend who puts her down and is possessive. She needs a new start and change with her work and is restless. She wants a change of scenery and to reflect on her life so she takes a new job position that takes her to Canada. There she meets Dr. Clint Hamilton who is a nice man. As it so happens Clint was in a bad relationship too. They both found what they wanted in each other. They were free to live in God's truth and free too love. The chains were gone.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of the book, but have reviewed it voluntarily.
