    This was a heartbreaking, tragic, and horrific story of mental and physical abuse, kidnapping, torture, and what parents will go through for the safety and security of their children. It's also about forgiveness, sacrificing, learning how to open up and love again, as well as finding the other half of your soul and never letting go again. It's certainly not a story that you'll want to miss.
    I would love to read about Seth's story, because I know that there's so much more to him than what he lets everyone see, even his brothers. Hopefully one day.
    I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

    What a roller coaster of a ride. This story has all the feels. Lane is one amazing strong loyal man. Sienna has lived through more then anyone should have to in a life time. They have a amazing chemistry and an even better connection. Could not wait to see where this story would go. Loved it a must read.

    So...let me get this straight! Lane was a whore who swore he loved Sienna but not enough to stop screwing around? Sienna (his one and only true love???) walks in on him with two other women and one of whom was riding his face! Sorry....but that right there did it for me! Lane didn't love any one but himself! And to try to convince me otherwise wasn't happening. t
    Then Lane goes on to get another woman pregnant because I guess he didn't believe in wearing protection! Sienna runs to another man and ends up married to the psycho! But wait...because Lane's nasty behind didn't wear protection...she was somehow pregnant with his child before she married and didn't know it! I know this is fiction but come on! Sienna had too many people in her ear when she was obviously emotionally depressed! Giving in to Lane (without protection again) just about made me sick to my stomach! I'm not sure where all of the 4 and 5 stars came from but this isn't it. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because of Lucas! Also, you need a better editor!

    Sienna and Lane once had a secret, young love. He made promises that she never once thought he'd break. Until he did. Then she married another man and ever since, her life has been a dark pit of despair. Now her life is even more awful as she waits for word of her son's appearance, of whether he's alive (she knows he is) or not. And then Lane has the nerve to insert himself back into her life spouting the same alpha possessive lines he spouted before, something about second chances and such, and Sienna's not about to have it. Nope. She wants one thing - her son. No Lane, no lies, no second chances. And she will get her son back from her disgusting husband. Even if she has to go through her one and only love to get him. If only Lane would back off and quit trying to con her into believing his lies again. If only her heart and body didn't still crave him. If only she didn't still love him.

    Wow, as second chances go, this one is quite a doozy. It's suspenseful and action-packed, and I was on the edge of my seat reading as Sienna and Lane got their second chance. I loved it. I will say that I was pretty mad at Lane for most of this story, though. He was a serious jerk back in the day, and the way he demanded so much of Sienna when he knew he didn't deserve a second chance, really, really irritated me. But everything else about this story I loved. Second chance love stories are one of my catnips, especially when they're done well like Abrupt is. I'm not sure which story is next in this world the author has created, but I'm going to be downloading it as soon as it's released.

    I've loved a lot of Kathy's books, especially the Undone series and this is a spin-off from that. It was a good story, angst, suspenseful and emotional. There was one part that I felt wasn't explained. If Lane loved Sienna so desperately from their first meeting why did he cheat with women at the club. How did she find out? What was the situation between them for him to take the decision to do that. To me, that was a huge part of the story, which lead to Sienna marrying the horrendous Joseph and basically ruined her life. This was never addressed, yet I think for Sienna to go back to Luca, she would've wanted answers, so she could trust him again. That's why it dropped 2 stars.
