    You know you’re crazy when your number one book boyfriend is a homicidal psychopath determined to kidnap and hold you captive on a deserted island with him for the rest of your life. There is something about the obsession and desperation of a man willing to do anything and forsake anyone just for you. Rush is the absolute best example of crazy love I’ve ever read, and at no time do I feel sorry for Kara or think she’s weak, even when she gets herself into tight situations because, unlike many books written within this sub-genre, Rush is never once mean or emotionally abusive towards her. Adrenaline Rush is not a illy romance or even one the of strange Stockholmy syndrome ones. He is her first love. They aren’t strangers, and her abduction frees her more than her escape ever did.

    Clearly, the romance is the best part of this novel, but, aside from the chemistry, the story is well-plotted, the events all lead us forward into the action of the story. All of the characters are fully fleshed-out and original. Owens goes from perfectly dry stoicism of Axle, to the bubbly psychosis of Sarah/AJ, to the humor of Drake and back with expert precision. There are at least five shades of crazy in the penultimate chapter and non of them are in any way analogous to the other.

    I’m addition to the crazy, the number of bad@$$ women coming to the rescue is refreshing, and none of them were at each other’s throats and being objectified, women are presented in a way that highlights personal choice. Nothing highlights or glorifies exploitation of any kind. It really is top notch work, especially to be so far into the series, which could explain the depth of characterization present, but the rest is just wit and skill. I’ll definitely go back to the beginning and see if Owens has progressed, got lucky or writes consistently well-thought out stories about powerful women and the men crazy in love with them.

    One more for the winners circle. C.M. Owens brings characters to life like no other. We meet Drex's sister Kara, former MC princess, exiled and living in fear from her father's wrath. Kara wants nothing to do with the dark MC world she grew up in, leaving everyone and her heart behind (Rush). In follow up to the previous book, Axel sends Rush to follow up on a lead on his sister to ensure her safety. Former lovers, Rush doesn't have simple altruistic motives in finding Kara. He wants her back and will go to over the top means to ensure she knows to whom she belongs. The former characters of Maya and Axle, Drake, Drex and Eve, Sarah/AJ and Snake reappear and enhance an already incredibly crazy story. I particularly loved Sarah's version of "I feel pretty." At times this book is just simply unbelievable - with layer after layer of action making you shake your head or laugh (or both). It was an absolute blast to read. Once again C.M. Owens allowed me to take a trip away from reality - what a Rush!

    Adrenaline Rush is book 4 of the Death Chasers series and in this book we learn about Kara and more about Rush. This book can be read alone but be better to read in order since other characters from previous books are brought into play!

    Kara is the daughter of Herrin and as we learned in previous books, she ran away because of some info she had on him and she didn't really wanna be in the family business. Kara is now pretty "normal" compared to the other characters in the book and previous books and she gets a hard dose of adrenaline when Rush comes back into her life and takes her back to Halo. You kind of see how Kara and Rush compliment one another and their craziness at times.
    Rush is one of the death chasers and fell in love with Kara when he was first brought in and trying to make it in the club. After Kara left, he went above and beyond to do what he could to learn any information about her- is she alive/dead? We kinda meet his crazy when he brings her back to Halo and goes all alpha on her.
    There is a lot of action and shooting and just kind of badassness that this book brings. When you hear Adrenaline Rush that's really what you get with Rush. He is a storm that comes in and there is not way you can gain any kind of control with him. You just hope that you have whats needed in order to survive him and to keep storm calm.
    I was a little bummed... I was ready to see Kara be a badass since she is the P's daughter but she came off as being weak at times. Rush is pretty controlling... but that's pretty much explained why he is that way and honestly they compliment one another with the way they are.
    The book is good, definitely read the others before this one even though you don't have to.

    .... CAVEMAN ALERT!! CAVEMAN ALERT!!! I'm in love with a kidnapping, knife and gun wielding, obsessive, controlling nutcase!! Who would have thought i would ever say that?!?! But i am, he's my kinda crazy.... Rush.

    From previous books we knew Rush had a thing with Drex's sister, but we didn't really know what happened between them before Kara had to flea for her life from Herrin. With everything going on between Drex and his father, Drex sends Rush to make sure his sister is safe. Rush jumps at the chance. He watches her for months knowing her every move.

    When Kara discovers Rush is watching her she fears that Herrin has sent him to finish her off. She takes drastic action in order to escape and continue on with her life as she has for the last 7 years. Normally. She's hurt that it's Rush that is trying to end her and tries to flee. The plan is flawed and goes wrong. She was so close to escape.

    Rush knows exactly how she thinks. He's watched her for months so he's prepared for her to flee. He catches her easily and resorts to drastic measures to keep her safe. Of course... He kidnaps her.

    From here he takes her back to Halo and the Club she hated and fled from. It's time to end Herrin.

    Grab a club Rush and drag me back to your cave!!! I'm your's!!! lol I'm actually a little surprised i loved him so much. I always liked him in past books even though he was a bit of a loner but this book shows you him in all his cray cray glory and i bloody loved it!! Yes he's slightly controlling... ok he's way over the top controlling and protective and bat shizz crazy to boot but you seriously can't help loving his brand of crazy. His love and devotion and years of waiting for Kara make you forgive him anything.

    Kara is very different from what i imagined. I thought she may be a little bratty princess with a deadly attitude. But she was none of that. She's quite innocent really. Despite being born into the club no one really paid her much attention so she was only ever jaded by her father. This made her a little naive to club life. She's a little lost i guess. Never fitting in with the club or with normal people but when she's with Rush she finds her place. Where she can be herself and feel all the love she missed out on.

    The plot and story line is captivating and will keep you turning the pages until you've read the lot. I delayed finishing it, well i tried... it lasted maybe an hour and i had to know how it ended!! This book is action packed full of kidnappings and traps and double crosses, then throw in some torture and a huge body count and you have an amazing read. But that's not all! Then CM Owens throws in some intense, very satisfying love scenes mostly involving cable ties and silk bindings oh my! Some very funny disturbing scenes from our resident crazies The Vagina Squad. And finally an incredible love story that starts from their teenage years and never ends! Epic!

    I'm gutted the next book will be the last. I want more more more!!! I devour every word this author writes but this series is one of my faves of her's. I love it when she goes quite dark she has a massive talent for it.

    If you love your MC series on the darker side so get this book. This series. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

    Mama mia this book was one hell of a ride.
    It has everything a good MC book story should have and then some.
    I couldn't put this book down , it was only because "real life " got in my way otherwise i would have read it in one sitting.
    I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes there alpha bikers served up with a bit of psycho and a dash of complete insanity ! .
    They still love their women hard and take it to the extreme.
    Rush and Kara story had it all, high impact 100% crazy. I freakin loved it. Can't wait for the next book that will be the last in this series and i have no doubt that C.M Owens will make it a thousand times more intense.
