The Pig King: A Maedrey Puck Story (Aevalorn Tales) Kindle Edition

4.0 out of 5 stars 3 ratings

From the author of Aevalorn Tales comes a dark fantasy story about the folly of arguing over something you'll never need.

In the remote hamlet of Ehrendvale in the Aevalorn Wilds, a happy chance reveals a hidden treasure! However, its ownership is questioned, and tensions run high, threatening to split the once-peaceful community.

Maedrey Puck, a Priest of Yondalla, is called to help settle the dispute. To put the matter to rest, she must administer three Trials by Ordeal
to a landowner and a pig farmer, but can she quell their unbridled tempers and keep the hamlet from ripping itself apart?

The Pig King weaves a captivating fantasy story of adventure, wisdom, and the enduring spirit of a community overcoming the very essence of greed. Fans of authors like Brandon Sanderson, Travis Baldree, and S. L. Rowland will feel right at home in the Aevalorn Wilds, exploring a heartwarming story anchored in the power of community and the folly of avarice. It is a tale perfect for those who cherish stories where the journey is as rewarding as its destination.

In this latest short story from Russell Mickler, we revisit Maedrey Puck, Child of Yonadalla (The Ballad of Skyer Dannon Two Shades of Luck, A Kindness Forgotten.) The idyllic Hamlet of Ehrendvale is in turmoil as a hidden treasure threatens to tear the community apart. Only Maedrey, with her unique abilities, can restore peace.
