    I loved, loved, loved this story! The relationship development between Marshall and Liv is awesome. Via their POVs, we come to know them deeply and watch them grapple within themselves, with each other, and with the other Region 2 team members. Matteo and Jace also come to life beautifully.
    All told, this is an intense action story built around connection, love, and family within the gripping action.

    I loved this book! The characters are fully developed so that I actually feel invested in their lives, the dialog is FANTASTIC, and the premise of family/team working together is a nice change of pace from the go-it-alone hero/heroine I've read about in other urban fantasy books.

    Heat Factor: Two fairly detailed encounters towards the end

    Character Chemistry: They really like each other, but it takes them a while to figure out how to communicate

    Plot: Black ops anti-monster soldier rescues line cook from evil vampire, moves him into her home, and discovers that he’s the family she’s been searching for all along

    Overall: There are some nice moments, but this book needed a better editor

    OMG - it took me a while to warn to Bruce in the last book, but in this one I fell in love with Marshall straight away! For a guy with his problems he is a total sweetheart!
    This action packed, brutal paranormal romance totally melted my heart! These guys are such amazing characters and the imagination and inventiveness that went into this world and storyline will blow your mind!
    Highly recommended.
