Aki&Jamie Kindle Edition

4.0 out of 5 stars 51 ratings

After hearing news of his father’s ailing health from his estranged brother, photographer Aki Kurata plans a trip to California. Aki fears disappointment from his father over his latest failed relationship, dreading the visit could be his last. With the help of a Craigslist ad, he meets Jamie Kelly, a nightclub bartender, to pose as his longtime boyfriend, Brian.
Jamie, seeking his own need to head west to visit his only sister, reluctantly answers the ad with the help of his friend Jenna.
When the two meet, there is an immediate connection—both physical and mental—between them, making the week-long “purely-contractual” visit seem nearly impossible.
Although the two men each enter the agreement with completely separate agendas, they edge into a whirlwind of emotions neither one saw coming…

This is the 3rd book from this author. He is beginning to become one of my favorites . I got this story the day it came out and read it all in one night while my husband slept. I didn't want to put it down. Now to get to the men. The romantic connection is pretty hot, and the sex scenes are even hotter. It reminded me of when I was younger and in a new relationship. Two main characters are both hot!!! I loved it cause you could feel the connection between them and it kinda teases you to want to keep reading. Both of the main characters have a very dynamic family. Makes those parts a really fun read. Both of the two main characters have that female best friend that I totally have and this made me laugh (guys you know what I'm talking about).
That is what I have really have become to like about this writer, we keep getting a good story, hot guys, hot sex, and more good story. As you can probably tell I recommend this book.

Nice little story. Just seemed like so much going on. too many flashbacks. Also Aki forgave his brother way too quickly for it to be realistic. There’s no huge gap of not communicating which is normal for these situations. The gap is usually about 5 years and even then the person is not always forgiven. I would have liked to see how Tim ended up, with his HEA and wanted him to reconnect with Jamie briefly. He was talked about for like half the book…

I read Fin & Matt when I first discovered (and fell in love with) MM romance. And recently I couldn't find anything that I really wanted to read and I decided to look up Charlie Winters to see if they had published anything else and I find TWO books and devoured them both in a weekend. I love how the characters are flawed and are actively working through their issues. I love how the differences of Aki and Jamie make them great together. It's so amazing to read something that isn't overly, disgusting sweet in the beginning. It's hurt and raw and forgiveness and failure and triumph and family and love. I can't wait to see more from this author. I love how Charlie tells a story and this one is certainly worth experiencing.

This story was fun to read. The characters were well developed and all the ups and downs (and there were many) were well introduced, explained and incorporated into the story. And of course the chemistry between Ali and Jamie was hot. Highly recommend!

Wasn’t quite sure where this story was going to take me. Was it Jamie’s story or Aki’s. The sister, twins? Difficult brothers? So much here to follow. By the time I got to the end, I felt that this could have been 3 books. The twins in Cali, Jamie young to now. Aki young to now. 3.0 for dad’s wisdom.

This is the third book I have read by author Charlie Winters and just like the others it was so well written that I couldn't put it down even if I wanted to, so as with the other two I read it in one sitting. The allure of this book is how Mr. Winters made both Aki's and Jamie's families such an integral part of the story and what a cast of characters they turned out to be. It was funny, poignant and such a joy to read. Can't wait for the next true-to-life romance novel from author Charlie Winters!!!
