    I'm so glad this wasn't a damsel in distress trope! The female main character is simply put a badass and finds herself in the curious situation in fear for her life. Although she's clumsy and haphazardly lumps her way through life she is fearless in the face of danger and saves herself and many folks throughout this book. The guy who comes to rescue her is just the cherry on top in my opinion. She really rescues him and it makes me want to read every single book this author's written. The suspense was great and the backstory was pretty good too. I would definitely recommend!

    I felt parts were skipped and sex was overdone, with someone pointing a gun at me, with explosives around my neck a sexy guy kissing me! Just didn't fit in.
    It had a great story line that I really wanted to enjoy but I kept wondering what happened.
    The crazy husband who shoots and kills innocent people but doesn't kill them because he wants him to be remorseful! Then surprise at the end that just doesn't fit in.

    Really enjoyed the book but sad the way it ended it will give you more, but you have to her site to finish reading it and then it asked for your debit card although it does say free I do not like the idea of give my debit card when other books just send the copy to your email and you open it either with Kindle or e-book.

    Gabe makes it is mission to save the woman who saved his child. Can he get her out before it’s too late?
    I loved how fast paced the action was but I was not a fan of how fast their relationship developed after they returned home. For me it was just too fast and felt rushed to me. Other than that I really enjoyed it.

    I love single dad romance. But this isn't it. SDR is appealing because it shows a man who puts someone else first, a man who can let down his guard and be gentle with someone.

    But Gabe shares one brief scene with his daughter and it isn't even witnessed by Chloe! So what's the point? And after the danger has passed and he's out of the hospital, he makes no effort to see his child.

    Gabe is mostly a jerk, but not in an interesting or sexy way. Just a selfish prick. At one point in his narrative, Gabe says he doesn't care about a woman's satisfaction. Chloe is generic with a splash of manic pixie dream girl. Their connection makes no sense.

    On top of all that, there's enough editing issues to get frustrating (apostrophes don't make anything plural!), and the sex scenes are outlandish (two adults in a hospital bed?!?).

    A fast paced romantic suspense. It did remind me a little bit of speed 2 with how it is set on a ship but it was a great steamy read.

    Chloe is on the way to catch the ferry when there is a commotion. She puts herself between a little girl and the gunman which leads to her being taken hostage. Gabe is on the way to meet his ex wife and daughter but meets them at the hospital instead, his daughter wants her dad to help the princess that saved her. Can Chloe and Gabe work together to save the other hostages?

    I loved the chemistry between the characters and how action packed it was, very fast paced and great read.
