    This is the third book in this series but can be read as a standalone. Marty has a dream to become a caterer. He is an accomplished self taught chef. When he breaks down on the side of the road, the most attractive man he's ever seen stops to help him. Rob is a self made entrepreneur. He has bought a ranch in Anticipation to spend his summers there. He loves hard work and horses. When he sees a gorgeous man broke down, he has to stop and help. These two are about to begin a long hot relationship that if they can stop being stubborn, could benefit both of them. This is a great book about truth, trust and communication. Is the town of Anticipation magic or just a wonderful small town. Sounds like a beautiful place to put down roots. Even though they can be read as standalones, this is another SILVIA VIOLET, outstanding series. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS AMAZING SERIES!!!!!

    Marty has been hurt and he’s healing and finding a new place for himself in Anticipation. David’s friend Rob thinks he’s playing at being a ranch owner. They are perfect for each other.

    I highly recommend you read the first two books before reading Temptation so you know about the town and the characters, also because they are fantastic. Anticipation works it’s magic on Marty and Rob as well as the reader. I would love to live there.

    Another great story in this series. You don’t have to have read the first two books, but you’ll appreciate the characters’ relationships and the town dynamics more if you do. Plus, the other stories are great!

    This is a sweet and hot daddy kink without age play story. Rob is used to getting his own way and has the charisma and money to make that happen. He also is drawn to Marty and wants to take care of him. Marty is still skittish after escaping an abusive relationship. He is learning confidence and wants to stand on his own feet. As attracted as his is to Rob, he isn’t sure he can sleep with his boss or have a summer fling when he wants more. But, this being a romance novel, of course they get together and figure out they share the same kink.

    Where the story fell short for me is the way a daddy/boy relationship would work for someone with Marty’s past is almost ignored. We don’t see either Rob or Marty really question or struggle with it. While it ultimately provides a catalyst for them to admit their feelings, it doesn’t really play a meaningful part and, therefore, is distracting. The rest of the plot could’ve worked really well without that and we could have skipped a well-worn gay romance trope.

    I have enjoyed this series thus far, but this one just didn't gel with me as much as the others did. I did like the characters, but the Daddy/boy aspect just didn't work for me. There were no previous outward signs that either of these men were into that, and yet somehow they both knew the other was perfect for them in that role with minimal conversation. This isn't like them meeting in a kink club so therefore you can figure it out - they literally met on the aide of the road and both instantly knew the other was what they wanted.

    We then have the whole OTT situation about being boss/employee so 'couldn't possibly cross that line', and yet they did, and very quickly too. I just didn't feel their connection.

    The storyline with Marty's ex was also predictable, but never explained how he tracked Marty down either, nor why the police were interrogating him in front of Marty and Rob at the farm instead of taking him away and dealing with him at the station. It just didn't flow as smoothly as the earlier 2 novels did.

    I have enjoyed other works by this author, so know this is an anomaly. Hopefully future works are back to the usual standard I've come to know and love from her.

    Calling all daddy lovers this is the book for you. In the ongoing Anticipation series we get to know Rob and Marty better in their story. These two characters made appearance previously in the series though it is not necessary to read books 1 and 2 to fully understand this book as it stands alone well; however, for maximum enjoyment I strongly recommend reading the other books in order as this is just such a great series to read. This is sweet and tender with daddy kink and a high level of steam. You will enjoy this book for the easy read format with the kink that so many of use love. Congratulations to Silvia Violet for another wonderful addition to the Anticipation series.

    I enjoyed Rob and Marty's story. Their relationship might have started out as lustful attraction, but these two complete each other. They are both lonely and while they each know it, it isn't really something that Rob will acknowledge. The guys both need an anchor so they get lost drifting away in their own lives.

    I really liked this book and the story it told. The characters are interesting and their situation is unique in the series.

    Whilst I loved all three books in this series, this one was my favourite. Marty hasn't dated anyone since fleeing an abusive past, not able to trust. He ended up in Anticipation working in the bakery. An encounter with a hot stranger when his car breaks down has his libido revving. That hot stranger is Rob, David's best friend and newly acquired ranch owner. He needs a cook and a housekeeper. Marty is encouraged to apply and the rest they say, is history. The story had it's ups and downs with the couple. A lot of angst and soul searching and coming out for Rob. And A lot of hot Daddy kink.
