Appeal to You (A Beyond the Cove Novel Book 3) Kindle Edition
If there’s anyone who knows how to have a good time—be it with a man or a woman—it’s Ryder Pearce. Master of the nail-it-and-bail-it theory, he lives his life for one person and one person only: himself. When a man enters Ryder’s life who challenges him on every flirtation, every sexual innuendo he can come up with, Ryder’s thrown off his game in a big way. Because there’s one thing the man has made perfectly clear—they’ve played this game before, and Ryder doesn’t remember the outcome.
Avery Hamilton has seen all of Ryder’s moves and has witnessed his sex appeal. He knows all too well about his cocky sense of humor and his penchant for one-night stands. There was a time in his life when he’d taken the bait, but this time around, he wants more. He’s seen Ryder’s act; what he hasn’t seen is Ryder—the real Ryder he hides from the world.
When both men come together to help a young boy, Ryder’s forced to face things from his past he’s blocked out. Things he never wanted anyone to know. Now, Ryder has one fear… Will revealing that side of himself be real enough for Avery? Or will it be the reason Avery walks away?

About the author

I have been an artist from a very young age. From drawing cartoon characters and evolving into portraits, making jewelry, photography, and now writing. I have an amazing support system in my family and friends and couldn’t be more grateful.
I live in central New Jersey, love summers at the Jersey Shore, rock music, wine, sexy men, and laughing a lot with my amazing friends and family. Sunday dinners at my parents’ house are crazy, hysterical and you can count on a movie quote…or ten…being thrown out. Insults between siblings is how we show our love for each other!
When I’m not creating, you can find me reading books from my favorite authors. I’m a hopeless romantic, starving for passionate characters and always craving that happy ending, whether in reading or in writing my own books.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2023This was so beautifully done. I enjoyed every minute of it. I just finished it in one shot. These characters are probably my two favorite from the series: Avery and Ryder. God Avery is damn near perfect!!! The way he sees Ryder is so heartwarming and conveyed nicely by the author throughout. And, Ryder was the embodiment of a survivor, and my heart broke for his past self. Overall a great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2023Loved this one so much. I thought it was sweet. I should have said Avery, Ryder and Chris, but it’s not MMM (don’t even think that because it would be gross). Anyway, After a year of flirting/chasing Avery, a tragedy happens to Ryder’s young neighbor. In Ryder’s desperation to help said neighbor, he shows a more caring and endearing side of himself to Avery. Avery was always drawn to Ryder; they had chemistry, but he didn’t want to be “nailed and bailed” and didn’t want to be hurt, so he kept Ryder at a distance, but seeing how effected Ryder is over his neighbor’s situation he wants to make it better for him….And so the relationship finals begins. There is drama with Avery’s family and with Ryder’s self-doubt, but it all comes together and makes for a good read.
I would have actually liked a second epilogue with another name change, but maybe in Parker’s book. Really enjoying this series….so on to the next!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2019I've finished this yesterday and than sat down and started writing the review and I couldn't put anything in writing because my head was all over the place. This series and these men have a special place in my heart. With every book I discover something band someone new to love and Avery and Ryder are no different.
They both have hearts of gold. While my heart bled for all that had happened to Ryder, I couldn't help but fall madly in love with Avery. The patience, understanding and unconditional love he gave to Ryder after he learned about his past was something so beautiful I was a sobbing mess for half of the book. It was absolutely amazing to see the way Ryder starting to open up more and more with each interaction either with Avery or Chris. I loved the pace how they came from annoying each other to be head over heels in love with each other.
This series gets better and better with each couple. I can't wait to see who's up next to find his HEA in this close connected "family".

- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2019So much to love about this heartwarming story. Avery and Ryder were both such great characters....gotta say Avery is almost too perfect...he's seriously the best. Ryder was so real and honest....given his back story of abuse, rejection, and trauma he was very real and authentic. I previously loved reading the snark between these two...now the passion and love. !love they laughed so easily. Throw family and a child in and you have perfection. The last chapter and epilogue were especially amazing. Slight critique....I don't think the cover did justice to Ryder....but ever word written....so good!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2020Ryder has hidden behind his revolving door of hook ups and humour in the other books and he has been relentless in his flirting with Avery.
In this book we finally get to see both behind his mask and what went down the first time he and Aver9met ( the time he has forgotten).
We're also introduced to another young boy with no one left in the world and it takes Ryder, Avery and their whole chosen family to make Chris safe again.
We're also a step closer to Parkers secret and I can't wait to see if a second chance is in the books.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2019Ryder and Avery are great characters. I liked the snark and banter between them, but also the care and concern they had for each other and for Chris. Ryder needs to do an assessment of his past and how it has molded his life choices.
This is a good story about overcoming the odds, living your life to the best, and being there for those you love. Wonderful characters with a complicated past and the hope for a stronger future.

5.0 out of 5 stars The book that kept me up at night
Once, I stayed awake all night trying to figure out if I'd missed the next book in a series, about a tattooed joker and suit wearing lawyer. Thankfully, Facebook author groups saved me more sleepless nights and I hadn't missed the book.
Spoiler: it was this book.
And I don't regret that sleepless night yet. I think Appeal To You is so well written; Jaclyn Quinn has allowed the drama to unfold naturally without the need for hyperbole or theatrics; Ryder's backstory is dealt with subtly and carefully, and I just love how these two characters grow together. Yay!
Being on the next two (at least) Beyond the Cove books.

5.0 out of 5 stars such a special story
In the first books of the series Ryder came across as the class clown never taking anything too seriously. Little did we know that was to cover up the horrific childhood he suffered. Him and avery have been dancing around their attraction for months but when they have to pull together for a good reason their attraction blossoms into feelings. Avery sees a whole other side to Ryder and falls for him hard. Ryders past and his defences rear their ugly head but avery won’t give up..such a sweet heartbreaking story. The usual crowd are all mentioned in this book which I always love as it’s like an extended epilogue. Love the family they have chosen to have, blood doesn’t always mean everything!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another cracking book in this incredible series.
So so good. This series is really something. Each story completely different but intertwines perfectly. The constant bickering between these two MC's is just foreplay in disguise and you know when they get together it's gonna be explosive. There is such a heartfelt seriousness to this story with Chris, a child who is left without family and the book really does enlighten the reader on the devastation and trauma this causes. I adored both MC's they both had their own personalities but both had beautiful souls. You will need tissues for the sniffles that are likely to occur. I can't wait for Parker's story next.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great series
A beautiful , awesome story. I love this series. Avery and Ryder were at such odds but the attraction sizzled. Avery was resisting because of a past issue. Ryder has loads of issues stemming from his childhood. A tragedy and a missing child has them working together. Some angst, loads of sexy times, heart wrenching and soul searching..

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh
1.5 ⭐'s.
I really liked the first series Haven's Cove, and although I really enjoyed Jake and Eli's story in the spinoff series Beyond the Cove, I've felt that the books have gone downhill from there. Drew and Zach's story was more of a thriller than a love story, and I dont even know where to start with Ryder in this one.
I loved Avery and Ryder's relationship with Chris, but Ryder was so frustrating throughout the entire book, and to make matters worse.... he doesn't really get all that better at the very end. It felt so anticlimactic and the storyline was so unbelievably predictable that I couldn't wait to just get it over with.
