    Another branch in the “Godfrey” magical series to eagerly gobble up! I admit to being disappointed that there are no new Jade Godfrey adventures on the horizon, but the author is making up for that with many new stories featuring characters we have met before, and some brand new ones like in here. I do like the main character here, like Jade and the other female characters in these books she is a strong woman with a very real and believable life, even if it is filled with magic and magical beings. I am very intrigued by the hints and mystery and promises of what’s to come, it has every hallmark of a great and wondrous adventure and I hope it lasts a long time!! The only thing I don’t like, and even that is too strong, maybe just not love, is the Dusk’s little brother. I’m sorry, but he comes off as somewhat of a brat, and even taking into consideration his circumstances, if I were her I’d be a bit more disciplined with him, he is quite precocious and given what he is that could be dangerous. But that’s just me, and it in no way takes away from my enjoyment of the story and my eagerness for more. So dive into this one, and enjoy it!!

    Meghan Ciana Doidge crafts a rich tapestry of characters, places, and magic. Her telling makes you want to step into the Adept world - but you would do so carefully! Her Adept world is full of insanely intelligent warriors, love beyond the grave, battles of good against evil, and a beautiful blurring of societal-based expectations. Every time I enter one of her novels, I am transported and I cannot put it down until it is finished. I am EAGERLY waiting for the next book in the Archivist series but I strongly encourage everyone to read the entire Adept series - it is all MAGICAL!

I enjoyed her younger brother and love the fact that she is his guardian. I think she would seem very cold without him. I'm interested to learn about her parentage. I have many questions actually. I'm eager for the next book in the series.

    Another interesting story by one of my favorite authors. I’ve read just about every novel and story in Ms. Dodge’s Fantasy world. A world filled with witches, sorcerers, were folk, and guardian dragons. It all starts with the Godfrey witches and spreads out amongst various stories and story lines.

    This one is a new branch, a story about the world’s modern archivist interfacing her “book”, with the internet. Her book, the one called Infinity, is awakened in this story, a story that will probably take a few novels to explore.

    One thing I really like about this author is her world building and her characters. Each one is fully fleshed out. She creates characters that you get to know, and love as their stories unfold.

    I highly recommend this novel and all the rest written in this particular universe. But, start at the very beginning to fully understand this world and it’s fabulous characters. I know I’ll be eagerly awaiting the next novel in the Infinity series.

    I love everything Meghan writes, and am a diehard Dowser series fan, but the Archivist series is shaping up to be a strong challenger for replacing it as my favorite. I love the characters of Dusk and Sisu and I appreciate how in just a few chapters we get such a great feel for them as people and how they relate to their world.
