Turn To Stone (The Stone Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
If I could have written my story, it wouldn’t have started like this.
I have dreams that are waiting to burst out of me, but my present is suffocating my future. I want more for myself regardless of what some might think.
I vow to find my center in a new city where I will be able to make any and every choice without guilt or fear. That is until I find myself terrified of something new, Julian Stone.
My heart is still healing but I find myself completely drawn to a man who is dark, sexy, passionate, and terrified to live. I know how that feels. He appears to be living his dream, but can’t lay his past to rest. It bleeds into his every waking moment.
I want to leap headfirst into him, believing he will catch me. If he does, I know together we can tear down everything holding us back and build something stronger.
Together, we will be whole.

About the author

Author and hopeful romantic, Ariana Rose, dabbles in all forms of contemporary romance. All of her novels do have one thing in common. Her heroes and heroines are as passionate about life and love as they are about each other.
Ariana has always been a storyteller with a flair for the dramatic. Born and raised just north of Minneapolis, she's a proud mother of two. When she's not writing, she can be found an ice arena in a figure skating lesson, binge watching her favorite shows or screening an 80s movie she's seen hundreds of times, exploring history or traveling to any of her current or new favorite places.
Since she first published in August of 2018, her backlist has grown to include a catalog full of suspense, second chances, and always a happily ever after.
Ariana is exclusively in Kindle Unlimited, and you can keep up with all of the latest news on upcoming projects by subscribing to her newsletter or searching her socials.
Remember, passion is never a bad thing, it's where dreams and reality collide.

This 2nd chance romance has a great storyline with wonderful characters. It's well written. Alexandra and Julian are the perfect couple but have some challenges to get figured out first. - Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2020I don't remember how this book ended up in my Kindle, Ariana Rose is a new author to me. I read the blurb and decided to give it a try.
Lex is a sweet and happy girl who loves writing, she meets Hunter and they start a relationship but with time she understands he's not good for her and she decides to take her life into a new direction.
Julian is an actor, handsome and a great guy. He suffers from a terrible lose and when he starts going thru life he meets Lex. They have an instant attraction they can't explain. They try to stay away but they can't.
Julian's dad and some other people are pretty much evil. They wanted to force him to do things he didn't want. I think this part was a little over too much drama and confusing at times, when the author wrote the POV of one of the bad guys. The book nearly ends on a Cliffhanger but at the end we get some closure.

This is such an emotionally gripping story. I was immediately drawn into this story. This story has such a complex plot. It was constructed intricately and it really packs a punch to one's emotions. There is so much drama in this story but it is all presented in ways that toy with your heart. These characters are ones that you will be so invested in because they are so raw. They are not flawless or without broken pieces. They really resonate with the reader which makes the story that much more impactful. This is an incredible series that I can't recommend enough.
I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2021Turn to Stone is the First book in The Stone Series. This starts the story of Alexandra Taylor 'Lex' and Julian Stone. Alexandra is starting over after leaving her abusive relationship. Julian is trying to get over loosing his love in a accident. Both are lost soles who meet. Of course there is a instant attraction but nothing is going smooth for them. Alexandra ex boyfriend Hunter is going away and Julian father and Quinn have plans for Julian that doesn't include Alexandra. This book does end with a cliffhanger setting us up for the next installment.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2018*Preface: I won this book in a giveaway and was asked by the author to write a review. I entered the giveaway based on the book description only. This is the first book review I've ever written, which will probably be obvious.*
Turn to Stone, the debut novel from Ariana Rose was a solid start to a writing career.
We are first introduced to the main characters, Alexandra "Lex" and Julian (dual POV), during their lives prior to them meeting. The introduction and initial build up of these characters and their stories grabs you from the very beginning. You learn to feel for them and want to see them move on from their pasts and be happy and successful. The main characters then meet and this is where the author started to lose me as a reader, personally. I feel the flow of the story and all the descriptions were well written and easy to follow. However, for me, the dialog and situations between the main characters moved a bit too quickly, at times, and the dialog was overly dramatic bordering on unrealistic (not my personal preference). I almost was picturing old time movie acting where the woman would put a hand on her forehead and feel faint. I felt some parts moved to quickly and needed more substance and other parts too slow and needed less detail. I enjoyed the overall story and the characters despite the areas that just weren't my usual forte', which may be the reason for my less than perfect rating of the story. If I run into the other books in the series in the future, I may read them just to see how the story and the author progress.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2018I'm probably jaded but all the romance novels I've picked up lately have BORED ME TO TEARS! I have at least 7 or 8 books that I made it halfway through and just gave up on because the characters were silly or the plots jumped to outlandish sex scenes within two minutes. I want to actually care about the characters in a book if I'm going to invest hours reading; thankfully, this book does just that.
Perfect blend of passion with actual story lines and believable characters. I wasn't sure what to expect from a first time author but this book more than surpassed my expectations and I'll happily get the next books in the installments when they come out!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2018If you've not read this novel, I seriously don't know what you're waiting for.
This is the first novel in the Stone Series and it's one heck of a start.
We meet Alexandra and Julian, both set on a different course in their lives, but fate decides new paths for them. Paths that lead directly to one another.
This is a swoony, thought provoking, powerful romance that is not to be missed.
Ariana cares for these characters in a way some authors do not. She understands them. She is them. She cries when they cry and hurts when they hurt. That kind of talent doesn't come along every day.
I can recommend this book enough and this author will be an insta-buy from me from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely amazing
Wow.
Right from the start this book had me hooked. From meeting both Alexandra and Julian at a changing point in their lives you feel the emotions. From feeling on top of the world to feeling like it’s the end of world, Ariana nailed all of them.
Alexandra leaves everything she knows to start a new life in Atlanta where she meets Julian. From the very first meeting they can feel the strong connection yet things from their past are holding them back.
When secrets start to be revealed they start to be pushed apart, can they find their way back to each other??
Can’t wait for the next one in the series!!
