    Woo hoo! Another great story in the Black Claw Ranch series. Love the Cecilia Lane stories. Breaking Fate is about another clan member of the Black Claw Ranch. This time it’s Lorne Bennett, the more observant and introspective member of the clan. Like the rest of the men of the small clan, he has a history he doesn’t want to revisit or have show back up in his life. As the clan expands with his fellow bear shifters finding their mates, he’ll do what he needs to do to protect his clan.

    He’s not prepared for Sloan Kent. Sloan Kent is a officer of the Supernatural Enforcement Agency and due to her strong morals and sense of justice, she turned in her partner and received a transfer. She’s determined to prove herself to her new team and earn her place as the only human on the shifter team. But she’s also still dealing with people trying to punish her for her previous decision.

    Lorne is drawn to Sloan. But he’s concerned that history may repeat itself as his past shows up in town. He wants to move forward and not let his past impact his future. However, both he and Sloan aren’t sharing their past and are putting any future in jeopardy.

    The characters are imperfect and flawed but that’s what makes them great. The Black Claw Ranch clan are kept together by respect and affection. They all have secrets and they know that. They don’t pry, but they support each other and will band together when needed. Ethan, the alpha, doesn’t use force to keep them together and would let anyone of the guys leave if that was what they needed. They are truly a family.

    Lorne and Sloan are both strong characters. And, Sloan recognizes her inferior strength and senses when compared to shifters, but she’s not going to let that stop her from fighting for her place on the team. She’s not going to let anyone intimidate her.

    Another strong and engaging story from Cecilia Lane and onto the next installment of the Black Claw Ranch series.

    Sloan has been sent to work in Bearden with the SEA ( Shifter Enforcer Agency) but she is the only human on the team. After her team saved Joss from hunters the agents are in town to protect humans and Shifters too. That was the first time Loren seen Sloan and now he can’t get her out of his thoughts but his past has come to cause him trouble. And her past is still after her to cause trouble for her. They will have to solve their problems to find their HEA. So enjoy the read and now we only have a little time to Waite for the next in this series ! !

Our H&h each have a past that is out to get them, and they must overcome past experiences to be together. Their romance is tempestuous, but real, and I loved the HEA at the end of the book!

    Breaking Fate is the third book in the Black Claw Ranch Series. Cecilia Lane brings us the heartfelt story of Lorne and Sloan.

    Sloan works for the SEA and believes that justice is still alive and kickin'. She has had one thing after another pushed into her. Her past has constantly been affecting her future. She can't seem to get one specific cowboy shifter out of her mind.

    Lorne works at the Black Claw Ranch and is a man with a past that haunts him. He too can't keep her out of his mind. The are both pulled into each other's pasts. Can they find a common ground?

    I love this series! I feel like the first part of this book was slower because it jumped around a bit. The last half of the book was stupendous! I love the ending where Sloan is not willing to give up even when all seems lost! I would absolutely recommend this for your reading pleasure!
