But between the hot cocoa, sleigh rides, and sneaky mistletoe mishaps, Zane finds himself questioning his priorities. The sassy, feisty, gorgeous woman teases his dragon and tempts him to bare his soul.

After Izzy finds out what really draws Zane's attention, her bruised heart is fully shattered. Despite her cougar's insistence that Zane is her fated mate, she pulls back before his grouchy spirit can do more than freeze her out.     These two hard headed characters are both extremely different yet very similar in so many different ways.
    The whole storyline was fascinating, with cheeky wit, to emotions continually going to extremes while they both refuse to consider what both their other half knew, these two Izzy and Zane were meant for each other, even though neither was willing to look closely enough
    Celia Lane has the uncanny ability to put you right in the middle of whatever plot she has created so it becomes so easy to fall along with the character's into the adventure they are being pulled into, it almost seems like the depth of what they are experiencing is easily transferred into our own emotions as we walk along side with them to deal with the banter,fear and determined hope developing within both their spirits.
    Definately a wonderful rendition of macho male pride and denial while Izzy finds herself walking a similar fate, deciding she will control her fate not allow destiny to step in.
    Very well constructed with just the right amount of character tenacity and determination. Both Izzy and Zane kept a smile on my face throughout the whole book.
    I highly recommend you grabbing a copy and delving into the challenge Izzy and Zane have to deal with.

This is the last Xmas they will spend alone. Every trip to Bearden is a pleasure. Can we now add Firebend to the tour schedule? Let's get some dragons hitched.

    This book is connected to the Bearden series but can stand alone. Izzy is nursing a broken heart and decides to spend Christmas in Bearden. Dragon shifter Zaene has been ordered to take a vacation and finds himself in Bearden. Izzy is determined to expose the sexy dragon to Bearden's Christmas celebrations. Zane is attracted to Izzy, but he also spots a dangerous criminal he needs to arrest.

    I enjoyed this. I love the Bearden stories and love the whole atmosphere, especially with one of their numerous festivals. I liked Zane and Izzy's initial reaction to each other. This was a good read.

    Zane is a dragon bounty hunter who has been frustrated at every turn by the polar bear escapee he was hunting. He is tired and frustrated and his superior knows it. But Zane is furious when he gets told to take a break over Christmas because he can only think of the people who are likely to be killed by the felon. But he’s given no choice when he’s told to deliver a package to the alpha dragon in Bearden, a shifter town, and told not to come back too soon. It just makes him moody and sullen.
    Izzy arrives at her aunt’s B&B in Bearden alone, much to her aunt Muriel’s surprise. Izzy is embarrassed and hurt but her aunt just hugs her and tells her that he wasn’t good enough for her anyway. Once settled into the best suite that her aunt has she’s in the shower when she hears someone in her room.
    Zane is not impressed when he discovers a cute cougar shifter already in the room he has been given. He doesn’t care if his dragon can’t get enough of her scent, he’s just grumpy about being taken off his case!
    To Izzy’s surprise she finds herself offering him the couch in her suite since there is nothing else available in town or for miles around. Zane sees this as a chance to look around for the polar bear.
    Izzy and Zane find themselves drawn to each other against their will and it isn’t long before Izzy starts to crack the ice around his heart. But Zane finds out the hard way that you can’t take your eyes off the goal or you could end up losing everything.
    Nice to visit Bearden again.
