Metamorphosis (Book Boyfriend Series 1) Kindle Edition
Scarlett MacGregor has lived a very sheltered life courtesy of her over-the-top controlling parents. Having never been to a co-ed party, much less out on a date, Scarlett has relied on her books, music, and living vicariously through her best friend Evie to keep her sanity as she's patiently awaited her freedom from their rule.
When Scarlett and Evie leave home for college, Scarlett soon meets Ashton, Dylan, and Mason, and is thrown into a crash course of like, love, and lust. With Evie's help, she must figure out the difference between the three, and which one she wants, before she ends up without any of them.
Metamorphosis is the beginning of Scarlett's transformation from a young, naïve girl to a strong, mature young woman and her search for self discovery and true love.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2014I checked out the synopsis of ‘Metamorphosis’ on Amazon and I thought this series of books sound like the type of story I could get into, well I was mesmerized with this book.
This story is not only sweet but incredibly HOT, sexy and funny, there was also a very clear storyline which is so heartfelt it broke my heart at times and made me ugly cry.
Scarlet is a beautiful 18 year old virgin although she does not feel she is beautiful, (years of being told you are not that special makes you feel that way), but not only was she beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. I instantly loved her, although there were times I just wanted her to stop thinking all the time about things and to just live. Scarlet is like everyone she makes mistakes but it is how she learns from them that keeps me excited to continue reading.
Scarlet in her new found freedom finds she is attracted to 3 guys, but wow the way the author portrays them who could blame Scarlet for liking them all, I mean HOT AS HELL is the only way I can describe them, Ash, Dylan and Mason.
In this story Erin mentions other books and characters and the fact that Scarlet and her friend Evie seriously discuss Book Boyfriends and what type of guy do they both like, it was funny in a way as it reminded me of my friends and I discussing the books we read and Book Boyfriends in our groups on Facebook. I felt it was a lovely touch in the book, and it was something that everyone could relate to. Erin mentioned one of my all time favourite books, Ruining Me by Nicole Reed, to me that was lovely and special that Erin would mention another author and book in her story, it showed me that Erin not only loved Ruining Me but she felt the significance of it in putting it in her book
The flow to the writing is brilliant and I found myself just constantly reading, I did not want to close my kindle to stop. I never once became confused about where the book was going or what had happened it was all there easy to read and understand and I LOVED IT.
Ash OMG what can I say, he is just dreamy to me, I fell in love with him from the first few chapters, to me he is HOT, but kind, thoughtful, charismatic but loyal and friendly. Yes he is a bit of a man whore but most colleague guys are. I loved the instant attraction that Scarlet has with Ash when she first meets him and Ash feels the same but can they get it together to see if they have a future?..
Dylan, there was something about Dylan that rubbed me up the wrong way, to me he was too squeaky clean, maybe that is just me but something about him, didn’t ring true with me and I couldn’t like him as much as I wanted to.
Then there is Bad Boy, Rocker, Biker Mason, OMG HOT as well, the fact that he sings in a band, drives a Harley well that say’s it all really doesn’t it. However, aside from his bad boy image Mason has a good quality, a loyalty and I feel he truly does care for Scarlet but I don’t know if he would be the right person for Scarlet
Scarlet has to deal with a devastating tragedy later on in the book and this shatters her confidence, she needs to find out where she fits into life again, who should she be with, all the decisions of her life to come needs to be dealt with and Scarlet needs to do some soul searching.
What I am anxious to see now is what happens next for Scarlet in book 2 but what I will say about Book is this is a book you will WANT to read, yes it is a series but an amazing one at that and I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2013I was enthralled with this book, it kept me entertained and made me cry buckets of tears.
Scarlett was a teenager trying to find her way in the world after being under the microscope of her parents her whole life. Every hour of her life was planned out and her parents made sure she did not have a life outside of her hobbies, school, and activities. Scarlett and her best friend Evie moved in with each other for college and I loved Evie. I was so happy that Scarlett had someone that she could talk to about her life, fears, and heartache.
Scarlett was one of my favorite characters because she might have been sheltered her whole life but she was transforming into a beautiful, confident, women with the help of her friends Evie, Ashton, and later Mason.
She also had book boyfriends which made me relate to her even more, and love the book even more because it reminded me of ME!!
Speaking of book boyfriends... HOLY HOT BOYS IN THIS BOOK!!
I was in love with Mason and Ashton I did not know which one I wanted Scarlett to end up with. They were both sweet, caring, and nice to Scarlett and I didn't know which one was better for her. I loved who she actually picked in the end but I was screaming by the end of this book.
Mason considered Scarlett his angel and Ashton considered her his butterfly.
I really loved the metamorphosis process that the author used in the book, the title fit the book amazingly! I also enjoyed the story of Eros and Psyche, I never heard of it before and it was beautiful, just like this story!
I was left hanging and I can't wait for the sequel to this book, I will definitely be buying it!!!
Besides the ending, the only thing I did not like was how fast Mason and Scarlett got together and how obsessed he was with her just after one night, it just seemed too unrealistic but it did not take away from the story, it was still just as amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A coming of age college romance with a unique twist. LOVED IT! 5*
"I would love to say, `Lets be friends,' but if I'm being completely honest, I know that there's no way that I can be around you and not want to touch you...to hold you...to keep you as mine. And that's not fair to either of us." - Ash Walker
"Don't you ever fly away again, Angel. I swear I'll have your wings clipped." - Mason `Rat' Templeton
This book was an absolute pleasure to read as it incorporated everything I look for in a coming of age, self-discovery, first-love college based romance, but what put this one-step ahead of so many others is that it has been written by a fan, just like you and me! If I could pull any New-Adult (17+) book from the shelf and add my name to the cover, it would be this one, because it was executed with perfect precision accompanied by dialogue to die for!
Erin Noelle has not only delivered an exceptional tale with strong and likable characters that will have your inner cougar roaring in ecstasy (well...in my case), she has also paid homage to some amazing authors - all who I'm familiar with; how could I not connect with that? With references to Taking Chances, Fifty Shades, Beautiful Disaster and Kellan Kyle, I wanted to jump in my kindle and join the `Scarlett and Evie' book club!
Scarlett and Evie are a breath of fresh air. They are clever, beautiful and graced us the insight of what is the true definition of `friendship.' There was no silliness between them, just total honesty and respect for each-other. Sisterhood.
Both girls are complete book-a-holics, spending most evenings with a nose in their e-reader basking in book-boyfriend bliss. So when they decide to turn their love of books into a game: Find a walking, talking, college frat boy hottie and/or the proverbial local bad-boy rockstar, they didn't quite expect for it to be quite so successful.
"Game on. May the best book whore win." - Scarlett `Sam' MacGregor
But what happens when two...turns to three?
Ashton - Notorious college playboy. Tall, blond and totally beautiful, with a love for Greek Mythology and Astrophysics - from the first look, Scarlett is smitten. Ash makes his attraction known and the sexual tension between them is off-the-charts, but when he learns of Scarlett's innocence, he believes she is too good for him. He will never change is playboy ways, and wants Scarlett to experience her first time with someone who is willing to commit 100%, therefore caging all raging hormones, he makes the decision to play the `friends' card.
Dylan - The sweet gentleman. Dylan is total boyfriend material. He's perfect, good-looking and respectful to the fact that he needs to take things slow, but that's the problem... why is he holding back when Scarlett is more than ready to move forward?
Mason `Rat' - Lead singer of a well-known local rock band, he can get any girl he wants, but when he sees Scarlett for the first time, he instinctively knows she is different. Special. A girl who could `potentially' break through that bad-boy exterior. Over six feet, muscular, covered in tattoos and with the greyest eyes (Think... M. Shadows), he is the perfect walking, talking, wet dream with a voice of silk.
Okay, so it's the old cliche isn't it; virginal 18 year old derives from a sheltered and strict Catholic school background with virtually no experience with boys whatsoever, so why do these hotties almost fall at her feet? Well, as far as stories go, this didn't bother me in the slightest because deep down I wanted to be that 18-year old `deer in headlights,' again. It makes for a refreshing change to read a book with an air of innocence, naivety and vulnerability surrounding it. I could certainly see the appeal of that and yet throughout it all, the author delivered it in a way that wasn't seedy or painted our girl in a bad light as she dug herself in a hole with no exit in sight, proving she really was that deer in headlights, experiencing freedom and the attention of guys for the very first time. Who wouldn't be confused...if not just a little intimidated?
All these guys are worthy book boyfriend contenders but in completely different ways, and like Scarlett, you can't help but feel her confusion and frustration. I felt it gave her indecisive actions justifiable cause.
You will have a favorite, although I am a little torn! I Love Ash, and did right from the start, but Mason is pure sex on a stick and I wanna climb that six-foot-five hard tattooed muscled rock star like a tree! :P
Be prepared for a gut-wrenching twist that will have you reaching for the kleenex, with an ending that makes for an interesting `realisation'.
Ash's Butterfly, or Mason's Angel...?
"All along I was wearing the wrong wings."
This book is definitely one to jump on if you love all YA/NA literature with a college backdrop. Even if you don't like love `triangles' or `squares,' take a chance on this one, it may just surprise you!
Book Two: Ambrosia. Here we come...

4.0 out of 5 stars Um começo eh e um final wow!
Wow!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty damn good
Well pretty surprised about this one, I have read so many books in this genre and stumbled upon this one and thought why not.....
So I am pleased to say that the book was a breath of fresh air and not so predictable. Yes we have the tiresome virgin again but this one is not so innocent and naive when it comes to sex. She has read all the books, watched the movies and had a play around with BOB :)
Having fled from her overbearing elder parents and an all girls school she is hungry for a taste of all what she has missed out on as an18 year old, tagging along with her is her loyal, supportive and more experienced friend Evie who is kinda determined for her to get a new sexier look and attitude and have her finally pop her cherry.
So with all the parties and bars she comes across she attracts 3 different types of guys - the sexy arrogant man whore, the all American good boy and the bad boy rocker with the tats, her tongue finds all their mouths on regular basis and her heart and head are struggling with what's lust or love and who to take the next stage with......one of the three men have truly taken over her heart but will she settle for 2 nd or 3 rd best?
I don't want to give too much of the story away as you need to read it- it is worth it.
As a 32 year old married mum of 3 I did find I blushed a lot when reading this which made me laugh but the book also has an emotional element.
Looking forward to book 2

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!!! What an emotional coming of age story
WARNING : This book will give you bags under the eyes, because you will be up all night reading it when you can't put it down!!!
Scarlett and her BFF - Evie - are off to Uni. Both 18 yo and there whole lives ahead of them. Up until now Scarlett has led a very sheltered life, because of her overbearing and protective parents, but now she has the chance to let live a little, or a lot.
Both Evie and Scarlett read a lot of books and kind of live their lives a little bit by the books they read. I really liked both the girls and their friendship was extremely heartwarming. I especially loved their fascination with books, and particularly the scene when they were laughing about FSOG and Ana - it still makes me laugh now thinking of it.
Scarlett meets Ash (Ashton Walker) and is completely drawn to him, and him to her, upon their first meeting. Ash - learning that Scarlett has never really lived - lets her go, so that she can live a little. First she meets, and hooks up with "All American Boy" - Dylan, and then "Rock Star" - Mason.
I've had this book for some time and there was something about it that did not completely draw me to it - WRONG!! Never judge a book by it's cover, eh?! I think it was because it was about 18 yo and I thought it might be a YA romance novel. WRONG!! Well it is but actually the characters and the writing is more mature than others I have read in this genre.
Initially, I loved the concept of the story. It was like Scarlett was put on the earth at 18 yo having never lived and was seeing the world first hand. It really took me back to being young(er) again. I loved it! When she first met Ash, I knew that I wanted him to be the one for her and be her HEA, but as the book went on and as she started to learn more about herself and life and then met Mason - I kind of jumped ship to Team Mason - sorry Ash!
Whilst I really understood why Ash would want her to live her life fully, Mason never really offered her that option. Well he did, but kept the door open, whereas Ash didn't. Clearly Ash and Scarlett were drawn to one another, but the book did not really go into too much detail about the feelings after the initial encounters and if I'm honest I got to understand more about the dynamic in the relationship between Scarlett and Mason than I did between Scarlett and Ash, and by the end of the book, I wondered where Ash really fitted in to Scarlett's life. To me it was obvious that Ash never really gave their relationship a go, but yet Mason was willing to do so, even though he knew that deep down, he never really had all of Scarlett's heart. He wanted whatever bit of her he could get, he needed her in his life, even if she was not wholly his. I loved Mason for that.
However, this is not just a book about a girl getting it on with 1, or 2, or 3 guys! OMG give me a few tears with my laughter, eh?! If you have read the book, you will know what I mean.
I was really lucky to get this as a freebie - and I think you have to pay now, whatever the price, get it because I guarantee that you will be hooked and for any price this is a great deal! Already starting on Book 2.....fingers crossed it's as good as this one.
