Broken Jar Of Memories Kindle Edition
But what happens when they start to unravel?
Will they keep the danger at bay–
Or bring it right to their door?
Family first. That's Skylar Austin's motto. So when her little sister goes missing, her whole world threatens to come crashing down in a single night. But then June is found and everything should be perfect, right?
Only it isn’t.
June doesn’t remember anything — not even the sister she had always admired. With the aid of the sisters’ memory jar, Skylar wants nothing more than to help June regain what she has lost. While her kidnapper is still out there wanting to finish what he started, the Austin family struggles to keep it together.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2023The plot was predictable but kept me reading. However, it lacks in professional editing. Too many word omissions and usage errors were evident. Many words were repeated next to each other which is proof of poor editing methods. There, their, and they’re should be used correctly at this stage with a novel. Use experienced editors.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2018This is about Skyler and her younger sister, June. Crissy is. June"s best friend, and both of them are Seniors. The story starts when Crissy persuaded June to go to a senior party. There's drugs and drinks that most have been spiked, even the water. June has disappeared. This is a good old who done it. I love this kind of book and this one sure didn't disappoint me!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2017I wanted to enjoy reading this book. The story was sometimes repetitive, but I could overlook that. What I could not overlook was that every time the verb should have been 'lie' or 'lying,' it was instead 'lay' or 'laying.' 'Lay' takes an object. I lay the book (object) down and it lies. I lie down (adverb). I did appreciate the family relationships as the author depicted them.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2018Broken Jar of Memories is the first of Jamie Summer’s I novels that I have read; however, I do have several on my To-Be-Read List.
Honestly, I was drawn to the the cover art and so I decided to read it. There was something that grabbed me and sucked me in. In my opinion, the story was a little slow to get moving; however, I am so glad that I continued on.
I found it so easy to identify with the Austin family. Although June had no recollection of her family, nor any of her past for that matter either, she is fiercely loyal and so incredibly brave. Skylar, her sister, would obviously do absolutely anything to protect June. I shed more than a few tears imagining the pain and frustration of the family.
All in all, this was a very enjoyable read!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2017I really enjoyed this book. It is about the bond between two sisters and will the bond be broken when a tragedy occurs. There are other characters involved, but some of them are background and others come to be very important to the plot. It is a very different book than the usual, and I mean that in a good way.You will remember this book for a long time. Very clever way to resolve the tragedy. Won't say more because I don't want to ruin the plot. Read it and love it too.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2017This was a emotional read for me due to the fact I'm extremely close to my little sister. It's a beautiful story that shows the reader how much love this family had for not just June but each other.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2017The overuse of the term my sister's best friend drove me nuts. Story is about a girl who has amnesia after a traumatic event. She is 17 and has written down memories through the years and placed them in a jar - a gift from her 10 years older sister. To try to stimulate her memory they read some of the memories and the sister tells her the story that goes with the memory. It was boring and predictable. I guessed the ending long before I finished the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read
I saw this book recommended on someone's page while browsing on Facebook and it looked like something I would enjoy reading. I am so glad I saw that post.
This was a lovely read, so well written and it flows extremely well throughout. The jar of memories itself is a great idea and it's something I wish I had thought about years ago. Just think of all the memories I could have kept within a jar of my own. The stories behind the memories are honest, revealing, happy, sad, and a whole mixture of different emotions come out of reading them. They are as essential to the story as the main characters.
There is a mystery element running through the story as we try to piece everything together and work out exactly what happened along with the characters. I did kind of guess just before the reveal what was going on, but that's just me. It didn't spoil the story in any way for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love a good mystery and this fit the bill perfectly
I picked this up because I've become a fan of Jamie Summer quite recently and wanted to devour all that she wrote. I love a good mystery and this fit the bill perfectly. The idea of a memory jar made me curious and the opening scenes pull you into the story. As you alternate between Sky's view and June's you get a whole picture of what the two sisters are like, how they interact and how they both view the other. It was an amazing ride from start to finish. I loved every plot twist and turn and very much enjoyed this book! Highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 stars Storyline is gripping
The storyline within this book is amazing the author flips between 2 main characters which is a must with me. I did sometimes find myself stuck and figured out the last 50% of the book but if you love a good easy read this is the book for you

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a truly unique book. I have never read or heard of a book like this!
A memory jar that sisters June & Skylar have kept since June was 7, is shared throughout the book in hopes the Skylar can jog June's memory.
This is a truly unique book. I have never read or heard of a book like this!
An opening that has you gripped and keeps you gripped throughout. I think I know 'who' then a few turns of the page and it's completely thrown out the window.
I could not put it down, I didn't want to put it down. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
