Pop My Cherry Review
"I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of the characters bit by bit. Seeing more of who they are through a clever line or a telling move."
Kikidelovely
"By turns passionate, varied, and endlessly delicious, Best Lesbian Romance 2012 delivers."
SHE Magazine
"This is a collection to melt the hardest heart. These are romantic stories sharing the heart of our relationships and loves. The most wonderful thing about this collection of stories is their varying voices. Each story from each author has its own appeal each voice is concrete and, most strikingly, each sounds so very authentic, wrapping the reader up in the embrace of its words, scenes and emotion. These stories are so convincing. It feels almost voyeuristic to be reading them as though we have been allowed a very privileged position at the window to a private house, a private house where a variety of women like the ones we know, or even the ones we might be are finding themselves dancing that longest and most exhilarating of dances, romantic love."
Kissed by Venus
"The collection does a good job capturing the dizzying sensation of falling in love, and Radclyffe’s curating does a nice job slowly raising the heat to a culminating sizzle."
The Edge
"In this sizzling new treasury, erotica maestro Radclyffe has assembled over two dozen titillating tales of lesbian couples taking each other to new heights of happily bedded bliss. Imagination and experimentation are the key that unlocks the hearts of these lesbian love stories and every kind of love you CAN imagine are told in stories redolent of romance, risk-taking, and, even gobsmackingly surprising true love. There are virgins, long-time companions, and very memorable one-night stands."

From the Back Cover
"Her mouth, the one I was so used to seeing smirking at me over some private joke, smiling during the rough times when only laughter could still the tears, that mouth with the full perfectly curved lips, wide and generous, came down over mine with a gentle certainty. God, she could kiss..." Radclyffe, "Training Op"

About the authors
Radclyffe, a retired surgeon and full time author-publisher, has published over thirty-five novels as well as dozens of short stories, has edited numerous anthologies, and, writing as L. L. Raand, has authored a paranormal romance series, The Midnight Hunters. She is a eight time Lambda Literary Award finalist in romance, mystery and erotica--winning in both romance (Distant Shores, Silent Thunder) and erotica (Erotic Interludes 2: Stolen Moments edited with Stacia Seaman and In Deep Waters 2: Cruising the Strip written with Karin Kallmaker). A member of the Saints and Sinners Literary Hall of Fame, she is also a 2010 RWA/FF&P Prism Award Winner for Secrets in the Stone, an Independent Publisher's award winner (IPPY), an Alice B. Readers' award Winner, and a finalist for the Benjamin Franklin award, the ForeWord Review Book of the Year award, and the 2010 Heart of Excellence Readers' Choice award. She is also the president of Bold Strokes Books, one of the world's largest independent LGBT publishing companies.
She states, "I began reading lesbian fiction at the age of twelve when I found a copy of Ann Bannon's Beebo Brinker. That book and others like it convinced me that I was not alone, that there were other women who felt like I did. Our literature provides support and validation and very often, a lifeline, for members of our community throughout the world. I am proud and honored to be able to publish the many fine authors at Bold Strokes Books and to contribute in some small way to the words that the celebrate LGBTQ experience."

I became addicted to words at an early age. I began reading when I was four. I wrote my first story at five years old and my first poem at seven. Since then, I have written plays, tutorials, scholarly articles, marketing brochures, software specifications, self-help books, press releases, a five-hundred page dissertation, and lots of erotica and erotic romance – more than fifty single author titles, plus dozens of short stories in various erotic anthologies, including the Lambda winner Where the Girls Are and the IPPIE Best Erotic Book of 2011, Carnal Machines. My gay scifi erotic romance Quarantine won a Rainbow Awards 2012 Honorable Mention.
I have more degrees than anyone would ever need, from prestigious educational institutions who would no doubt be deeply embarrassed by my chosen genre. Travel is one of my passions. I've visited every continent except Australia and Antarctica. Currently I live in Southeast Asia with my indulgent husband of more than thirty years and two exceptional felines, where I pursue an alternative career that is completely unrelated to my creative writing.

Theda Hudson is a writer and artist living in Colorado with four semi-feral cats, a thousand books, an understanding partner, and a Mary Poppins outfit complete with a toy bag she’s not afraid to use. She likes to use her writing to share the things women don’t get to talk about usually.
G’day and welcome. I’m Cheyenne Blue. I write big-hearted sapphic romance, mainly set in Australia. My fifteenth romance Sometimes We Fly is out now.
About me:
I'm the author of several sapphic romances, with more to come. I've been a finalist in both the Lambda Literary Awards and the Golden Crown Literary Awards. Going back several years, you'll find nearly one hundred of my short stories in a pile of anthologies.
I live in a country town in Queensland, Australia. I love to cook, play tennis, travel, hike, and be outdoors with a dog. All of those things creep into my stories from time to time.
Anna Watson is a married, old-school femme mom bookworm who has been writing about butch/femme sexuality for over 20 years. She also lends a hand supporting and organizing for her local queer community, especially families and youth. In 2014, she founded Laz-E-Femme Press with her colleague, Alicia Wag, because if you can't find enough good stuff out there to read, why not publish it your own damn self?

- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2014Short story romance for women lovers are difficult to find not to mention they usually lack a convencing level of character development. But here the characters and their intimacy exceeded my expectations. Love a steamy hot short story before falling off to sleep and dreamland.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2012Its lesbian romance short stories. Some were excellent and some were just wierd. That's anthologies though. You never know what you will get. Its why i like them so much.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2014I have a love/hate relationship with Anthologies ... I love the exposure to new authors, but am disappointed when there is no or little more of their work that I can read; I like the varied stories and sometimes I like their short length (maybe that's all it needs, as we've all read novels that just go on-and-on); But I hate how sometimes it's too short in length (I want more) and the inconsistent quality. This named the "Best Lesbian Romance" and other similarly titled can be a bit ... misleading ... some I'm not sure I'd even categorize as "romantic" but I suppose it's in the 'eye-of-the-beholder/reader'. This collection, on the whole, I found good, I think all were pretty well-written. My favorites of the 17 presented are: Radclyffe's "Training Op"; Cheyenne Blue's "Rule 4", Siobhan Colman's "The Quickening" and Evan Mora's "A Love Story".

5.0 out of 5 stars Amor
A pesar de lo típico de este libro, chica conoce a chica - problemas y final feliz -, me gusta cómo está escrito y cómo describe los sentimientos.
