Archer: Dark College Bully Romance (Brothers of Hawthorne Hall Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 2,675 ratings

Secrets unearthed, promises made, and brotherhood bonds broken …

Less than three weeks ago, my life flipped on its axis. After infiltrating a world designed for men, my role in the brotherhood became more than I ever dared it could be. I had a mission: find out what happened to my best friend and destroy everyone who was involved with his disappearance.

Falling for them was never the plan.

But after my worst nightmare became my reality, and the past I thought I’d escaped came knocking at our door, the feelings we shared became something far beyond anything I could have anticipated. Before coming to Hawthorne Hall, I never dreamed I’d find anyone who would care for me. But against all odds, I have three.

Archer.
Kingston.
Cannon.

These brothers are determined to help me unravel the tangled web of deceit and lies that has been spun around this house. As my final test approaches, our progress is stalled at every turn. The justice I seek has never seemed so far out of reach.

The truth has two faces. One, we never saw coming.

Archer is a 104,000+ word novel, the third and final book in the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall trilogy, centering around three men and one woman. MMFM

Steam: 4.5/5. Strong Language: 4/5. Characters: 5/5. Plot: 4.5/5 Archer is the third book in The Brothers of Hawthorne Hall series. It is imperative that you read books one and two, in order, to get maximum enjoyment from the story. Our story picks up right where book two, Cannon’s, stunning cliffhanger left us. If you have been on the edge of the your seat waiting for this book to come out- you will not be disappointed. The twists and turns are methodically and brilliantly written & designed to both delight and frustrate the reader in all the best ways. This is a story with grit and substance that will stay with you long after you finish reading it. Cannon, Archer, Kingston, & Elliot are wonderful characters. The bond they share is formidable. Watching it evolve and strengthen throughout the series was truly enjoyable. This was a wonderful example of a strong unit with no judgements or bias and I applaud Ms. James for her storytelling skill. I look forward to many more books.

I love this author's writing. I first read Mason and Bear's book from the series The Bastards of Bainbridge Hall while waiting for the third book release, “Duke” I was curious and intrigued that I read Kingston, Archer, Cannon, and Elliot's brotherhood series. I have to admit the storyline was not as captivating as Mason and Bear’s storyline. However, I like the author’s originality of the script and the fact that the leading female is being initiated into an exclusive elite brotherhood. Elliot is brilliant and uses her smarts to overcome the disadvantage of being female in competition with other males. Elliot demonstrates that she belongs to the brotherhood by being innovative and a resilient, loyal team player and revealing her fast reasoning and critical thinking. I liked the male characters. I am not a fan of multiple love interests, but this author did an excellent job describing their relationship. What I noticed from the other authors with the same genre is that usually, one male is described better while the others are just in the background, coming out to play in a sex scene. The author penned each male in every book, and the script flowed into each book. It was refreshing to read. However, my disappointment was the epilogue; while the plot and the villain were revealed, I thought the epilogue was rushed. Although I read the extended epilogue, I still felt some questions were unanswered. Also, I thought it was distasteful to have them vent their issues with their parents during graduation. The four-star is for the poor execution of the epilogue. Now I can read “Duke,” it is released. I recommend the series and the author writing.

College Bully romance, meets m*rder mystery, meets why-choose with a healthy dose of M/M?! YES PLEASE. I’ll give my review without spoilers because, where’s the fun in that??

I don’t even know where to start. I loved everything about this series. Cannon stole my heart and ran off with it. He can keep it. ♥️

This book blew my mind with the answers that we were left seeking at the end of Cannon. It shattered me, and pieced me back together at the same time.

I just love the relationship dynamic that Leila James creates with her characters. Not just with their physical relationship, but how their personalities compliment and fit well with one another as well. The way they love and depend of one another makes my heart melt.

Obviously another five star read for me!

I’m currently on vacation and couldn’t put this book down.

Shopping at the mall? Reading the book while in the checkout lines.
Nice dinner at an amazing restaurant? Reading the book at the damn table.
Concert I spent an obscene amount of money on tickets for? Reading the book while listening. Who cares if I had seats in the front row because all I was looking at was the pages of this book trying to figure out what the heck happened to Will.
Sleep? WHO NEEDS IT?! I’m going to get all this piping hot tea even if I have to become a zombie to do it!

This was one of the best series I’ve read so far this year. Be prepared to get sucked down the rabbit hole and devote yourself to chasing down all of the answers to this wild ride of a story. You’re going to wind up just as determined just as Elliot. You’ve been warned!

I was somehow expecting this to be darker. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely dark themes in the series, but to me it felt like a really watered down version of The Lords series by Angel Lawson. Like it was trying to be bully/dark but failed miserably. When considering the entire 3 books, there really wasn't much plot. The last quarter of this book was focused around the main plot of Will's disappearance, the rest of the time it was about the relationship between the 4 main characters. The MMCs I also wasn't a huge fan of either for some reason, Canon probably being my favourite of the 3. Won't be reading the series again.

Archer is the third and final book in the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall trilogy and what a fantastic conclusion this story was!!! This book cannot be read as a standalone and you must read the previous two books in the series, Kingston and Cannon in order before starting this one to fully understand the storyline. I absolutely loved this series, it takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions which all leads up to an awesome ending where the mystery is finally solved. I loved the twists and turns this story had and the characters are so beautifully written that you have a hard time choosing a favourite. This is the first series I have read by this author and I can confidently say that it definitely won't be the last.

4.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!

‘Archer’ is the final book in the Brothers of Hawthorne all series.

I so very much enjoyed this series. The readers along with the characters got answers to long awaited questions. The plot twists were not what I was expecting! I was so happy to see Elliot finally get the closure she had been searching for all along; which was her reason behind joining the brotherhood in the first place but along her journey she found three bonds with three different men yet all who seem to love her unconditionally.

From the very first book this series had captivated me, I didn’t want to put it down (but reluctantly had to at times 😭). The characters are all amazing, i loved how each of them has their own strengths and how they each pull on their bonds to strengthen themselves individually and united collectively.

The relationships in this book became even more evolved and further with the backstories becoming more apparent and developed too. One of the things I enjoyed most about this authors writing is that with other reverse harems sometimes the author might favour one love interest more than the others, yet Leila James made sure to include each of the love interest in everything. You would never find one characters story/backstory/development lacking in favour of another. It was a refreshing take to have each book dedicated to revealing more on each of the love interests.

And this was present in Archers books too as we were able to know more on the events that led him to where he is and the trauma he’s been facing alone. We got more of an understanding of the sweetheart that is Archer. His character is protective of his found family which is showcased throughout the whole series. But it was good to have the last piece of his puzzle revealed… even if it was a heartbreaking one, yet haven’t they all been?

Overall, I fully enjoyed reading this series. I’ll be sure to check out more of this authors work in the future.
