About the author

USA Today bestselling author Serenity Woods writes sizzling New Zealand billionaire romances. Alternatively called "The Goddess of Witty Banter" and "The Queen of Happy Endings" by Amazon reviewers, she likes to describe her heroes as 'nice guys doing naughty things,' so if you like your men hot, rich, funny, and respectful out of the bedroom but wicked beneath the sheets, you've come to the right place!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2025This book, the last in the Bay of Islands Brides series was as good as all of them. I have fallen in love with all of Serenity Woods books and with New Zealand. It is number one on my bucket list of travel. Her books are always such a delight to read.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2019I have read all of these books previously, and my review for each is listed below. I gave each book a 5 star rating.
Bride For a Night (Bay of Islands Brides #4)
This book was truly heartwarming. The characters seemed to come to life from the beginning. You could feel that Freddie was in a dark place he was struggling to get out of, and Bianca was that beacon of light for him.
I liked that although Freddie and Bianca had a past, there was no instalove. As they got to know each other again, the reader got to see their characters develop.
I always enjoy the sense of family, friends, love, and support. One of more of the characters has an underlying issue to work through, and when Freddie's was revealed, there was a twist involved. Bianca's was more of a surprise, but was handled so nicely.
This was not a quick read. The story moved at a steady pace, while keeping you fully involved and entertained. I found myself smiling through many parts of the book. It definitely had its moments of several waves of different emotions, but it was not a book full of angst. You get to spend time with couples from the previous books, including small updates on their lives. The book also provide you with a HEA.
I enjoyed this book and would absolutely recommend it.
Bride For Hire (Bay of Islands Brides #5)
I thought it was so great that Cam and Noelle were in their 50's and getting their second chance. I loved that they could still love each other, and have an intense romantic and sexual relationship that is usually only attributed to couples in their 20's and 30's.
This was a story of putting regrets behind you, moving toward the future, and loving with a maturity that you didn't possess the first time around.
I, for one, am so glad to see more romance books being written about the 40+ set. It seems like so many writers are focused on the 18-35 range that once you hit 40, you are pretty much forgotten about in the romance genre.
This book was well written, sweet, sensual, romantic, with a bit of angst, and a HEA.
Bride by Christmas (Bay of Islands Brides #6)
I hate to see this series end, but this was a pretty perfect ending.
You could see the difference in Elliot when he was with Libby compared to some of the glimpses we got of U in previous books when he was with Karen.
I understood Libby trying not to cause people pain by keeping Mike's secret, and it just serves to confirm that people have to do things in their own time.
After the episode with Karen, I fully expected her to keep popping up. I thought Elliot might have to arrest her. Lol.
Elliot and Libby had great chemistry. There were really sweet moments when they confessed their feelings for each other.
The characters were well written. The emotions felt real. There was that Bay of Islands sense of love, loyalty, and family. We were given an update on all of the couples from the previous books. It was a story that was intriguing enough to keep you engaged from the first to the last page, and everyone had their own HEA.
You can read this book as a standalone, and hopefully you will want to go back and read the other books. I personally believe that you will enjoy this book even more if you read a couple of the other books in the series first.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of these books.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2019Book 4: 5 Stars
Bride For A Night is a wonderful addition to the series. Freddie is such a tortured soul who feels unworthy of happiness and love. In reality, he is a wonderful, kind man who simply needs help facing down his demons. Waffles is proof of what a good man he is. Bianca is so calm, patient, and caring. She is the perfect balm for what ails Freddie. They make a terrific couple.
I love the entire Goldsmith family. They are such a loving, supportive family. They would do anything for each other. I want to be adopted by them!
Book5: 4 Stars
I was so looking forward to this story because it revolves around a mature couple (52 and 54). Noelle has been an interesting figure since Book 1 in this series. She is intelligent, pragmatic, a wonderful mother and friend, honest, hard-working, and attractive. Cam was her first love. The only man who ever brought passion to her life. Cam has never truly loved another woman. Getting a second chance with each other is something neither of them expected. Their whirlwind romance is not a smooth ride since they both have a lot of baggage to deal with.
I was thrilled to see Noelle's kids wanted her to find happiness and love again. None of them thought she should pine for their father for the rest of her life. Very refreshing.
Cam just didn't do it for me. I didn't really care for him. He was too self-centered for my taste, even when he was being romantic. That being said, I still enjoyed the story.
Book 6: 5 Stars
Bride By Christmas is Libby and Elliot's story. I've been looking forward to their story since it became obvious they cared about each other. This is a friends to lovers story but there are some unique obstacles for them to overcome on their way to HEA. Libby is such a kind-hearted, sweet woman who wants to be with Elliot but she is afraid of hurting others and what people will think of her for being with him so soon after Mike's death. Elliot is an honorable man and definitely swoon-worthy. He is so patient and understanding of Libby's feelings. They are perfect for each other.
My only complaint about the book is it is the last one in the series. I will miss the Goldsmith's and their significant others. This series has brought me many hours of enjoyment. I urge you to read the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mystery and Love in beautiful New Zealand
Once again, Serenity Woods does not disappoint. With an interesting new cast of characters for her Bay of Islands Brides series, a mystery which slowly unravels itself along the way and a tender loved that will not quit, you will be so intrigued, you won’t find a moment to get up and do the things you are supposed to be doing. Page-turning, paper or electronic. 6 Stars out of 5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
I read the three previous books in this series and enjoyed them so much that I got the next three. The books are well written and easy to read. The stories are interesting and mainly set in NZ, which is different from the ones set in the USA. I can recommend these books.
