    I needed a gut wrenching emotional wild ride of a read and man oh man did I get this from this book!!

    Kayleigh King held nothing back in this story. She gave us her heart and soul and I thank her for it!!! The enemies to lovers, the push and pull was absolutely incredible with these characters!!! I wasn’t sure if they would get to the happy ending, I was on the edge of my seat the entire book!! I didn’t want to put this down, I’m obsessed!

    Rafferty and Posie have sooooo much history together. I loveeeee when characters know each other forever, something happens and then they hate each other and then they have to make their way back to each other and this was exactly that!!! The incredible redemption is everything in this story. The journey was rough and toxic and absolutely incredible!!! This story had me crying for Rafferty and his brother Pax! And yet it had me on the edge of my seat!!

    I loved the bully aspects in this story and how as much as Rafferty pushed Posie every step of the way, Posie pulled Rafferty right back and stood her ground!!! What a fun journey this story was. Absolutely amazing!!! ♾️⭐️

    This was a beautiful story. I’m in love with Rafferty and his possessive ways with Posie. The bond he shared with Posie overcame all of the heartache and trauma, and it was beautiful how they could read each other. This book is not an easy read. I honestly was not prepared for the events, generally skipping stories with child abuse, but I have no regrets that I read this book. I fell in love with the side characters of Paxton and Rome as well so I hope we get their stories, preferably that of Rome and Lark, in the future.

    Raf, my poor unhinged but hurting boy. He grew up with so much pain and wanting to protect his family. His anger makes sense especially because we all tend to blame someone. His anger is misguided. Once you know him, you (like Posie) will also understand why he lashes out. He does so many things to hurt her.

    Posie takes it all because she DID betray his trust. She loves every bit of his and is so understanding. Many people will see her as weak. I saw her as loyal and strong. She took on so much too.

    All these characters are hurting in their own way but they all ended up safe and happy in the end.

    Check the tws as this is dark. Totally recommend this to anyone living an angry and possessive morally gray mmc.

    It was good. I wasn't disappointed.
    The big reveal wasn't a surprise for me though. I figured what it would be early on. It didn't make it any less heartbreaking though.
    Would have probably been 4 stars if it wasn't so drawn out.
