I am a huge fan of Lacey Black and all of her books, so when I got an ARC copy of the Bachelor Swap I was ecstatic. Bachelor Swap is part of Ruth Cardello’s Bachelor Tower World, while I haven’t read any other books in this world or Ruth Cardello’s books, I still really enjoyed this book and will definitely read more books in this world. I recently have been reading a lot of book series that are within another authors book universes and I find that they are great ways to find new authors. I started this series and universe with Lacey Black, who’s writing I love, and that has now introduced me to this universe that I want to read more about, and all the other authors that have written within it.
Bachelor Swap is about rancher Mason Wilder, and he’s in trouble. The price of beef is down so he isn’t able to make a profit off of any of his cattle, meaning he can’t pay his bills. Enter in his identical twin brother, Matthew, and the deal that could save everything that he has worked so hard for. It’s easy, all Mason has to do is three small, easy things.
1. Oversee the redecoration of his luxury apartment in the famous Bachelor Tower
2. Make sure that his latest business deal goes off without a hitch
3. Break up with his current girlfriend, Kyla, for him
Those three little things that Mason must accomplish while Matthew is on vacation, in exchange for $150,000 which is enough to save his ranch and leave some leftover for renovations on the ranch. This deal with the devil seems easy enough but it leaves a sour taste in Mason’s mouth, in particular having to break up with Matthew’s girlfriend.
Kyla is an animal lover, and because of that she spends all of her time volunteering and fundraising for Boston Cares Shelter. Just when Kayla thinks her relationship with Matthew is beginning to fizzle she suddenly finds there’s a new spark in their relationship and she can’t place what it is. Matthew is suddenly attentive, and listens to her and what she wants, and Kyla finds she loves this new side of their relationship.
The more time passes the more Mason feels for Kyla but time is ticking before Matthew comes back and he is expected to have broken up with her. Mason doesn’t know how to come clean with Kyla without ruining everything they’ve built. But when Matthew’s ulterior motives to everything come out can Mason convince Kyla he’s truly loves her? Can Kyla look past the lies to find a happily ever after?

What a fun read!
Bachelor Swap is set in the Bachelor Tower World by Ruth Cardello, no worries if you haven't read that series yet because each of these books set in the "World" can be read as a standalone. Bachelor Tower is located in Boston, MA and is home to the most successful and wealthy bachelors Boston has. It's a place for them to not only hang their hats but also to make connections, it has all the perks a man can ask for including a bar that attracts loads of women that are looking for an invitation upstairs. In this story we have Matthew and Mason who are identical twins, Mason has a ranch in Montana that is desperate need of a cash influx or he is going to loose it and Matthew needs to get away for a while so he makes a deal with his brother to trade places with him, as that had done a couple of times when they were kids, and he'd give him more than enough money to help save his ranch. Sounds easy enough, right? You know the old adage "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" well, that is exactly what we have here because of the list of things Matthew gives Mason to do what he is pretending to be him. The biggest obstacle is breaking up with Matthew's girlfriend, Kyla, because once Mason meets her he wants to see more of her. Hey, he has time before his brother is due home so no harm, no foul right....LOL This was such a fun read that I gobbled it up in just one day. I loved the connection between Mason and Kyla, and even though I disliked Matthew for a couple of things....spoilers not included....I think it worked out the exact way it was meant to because Mason and Kyla were definitely meant to be together. If you are looking for a sweet and sexy contemporary romance that you can read in a few hours I would recommend Bachelor Swap to you.
