Back in Beantown, book two of a trilogy, just keeps getting better. As I finished the last page of this book, I couldn’t help but smile and give myself a few minutes to reflect. This story is such an easy read , so honest in feelings, fun and different perspectives. You'll laugh out loud at the different personalities of these three strong young women and the genuine friendships that continue to develop. They portray the young adventurous side inside all of us when we open ourselves up to the possibilities of young love and taking chances. It shows that everyone can define what family means to them and you can actually chose who you consider family. The descriptive writing easily allows you to feel like your getting a tour of the mansions of Charlotte, North Carolina, dancing at a fancy gala and horseback riding in the majestic mountains of Montana.
This cliff hanger, once again. leaves you no other choice but to continue to move on to Farewell to Beantown.
Once again it's a 5/5 and a perfect trilogy to toss in your beach bag for your next vacation.
    Still impressed

This review is way overdue!!! The first Book, "Welcome to Beantown" and now "Back in Beantown" made me laugh, made travel to Iceland seem short, and brought me home to my Italian roots. The three main characters (really there are more with the love entanglements and very important family interactions) sizzle with spot on College reality. The love and humor really work, as does the darkside of shame and what it means to truly have friends. The author takes us not just to "Beantown", but also to working farm life, to the "gentile" South, and to our hearts reaching out to who we were and what we can become.

What can I say they did it again they left me wanting to read more! The next volume needs to get here soon. I love how the girls are now starting to flurish into young women and put into more mature situations but yet still innocent and vunerable in many ways.
The heat was turned up a bit too which I love! The suspense was killing waiting for the love scenes to happen it made me want to read ahead I didn't but was tempted. The charecters are so well written that I can clearly see them in my mind. I starting reading and just like the first book I could not put it down and finished it in one day. Great job ladies another successful page turner. Love your girls ❤.

Always a fun read, it took s while for me to get started as I have a backload of “ must reads”. But once I started this it is an easy breezy light read. I especially love the Italian family as it reminds me so much of the family I first met when I came to Boston years ago....it’s also nice to see the 3 girls blooming into their own and of course the local references. But even if you are not from and don’t know Beantown... go along for the ride, it’s fun!

I loved this book so much. Being from the Boston area it was fun to read and recognize the many references to the variety of regional and ethnic dialects, and local sights. But, the story carries the book and this series. So much goes on between the friends and the rest of the characters. Yet, the characters are richly developed - a feature often lost when a story contains many vignettes. A wicked fun rollercoaster read.

Back to Beantown was a great follow up to book to Welcome to Beantown. This book and the whole trilogy has a lot of ups and downs, but this book had me laughing the most. The way the interactions are between Gia and Colin are hilarious. Also seeing Gia find her match in Colin was heartwarming. I did not want to put this book down. If you get this book be prepared to go ahead and get the next book in the trilogy. Also be prepared for tears too!

I couldn't wait to get back hands on this book and find out what happened (cliff hanger from book 1). It was just as amazing as the first book. I was absorbed into the every day life of these wonderful families. Lexi and Frankie make a great couple and Gia is the girl we all wish we could be. I think my favorite character is Nonna! She is just what an Italian grandmother should be. Book 3 is on it's way and can't wait to get started.
