    This is the fourth book in the McMahon Clan series and the seventh book in the Fated Mates series by Rochelle Paige. Damn, I feel like I’ve waited forever for this book to come out and I had to go back to the last one to refresh my memory. Well finally Carrick, the head of the McMahon clan gets a very happy ending which he definitely deserved. Carrick McMahon has watched his triplet sons and daughter find their fated mates and he’s now a Grandpa. He lost his mate years ago when she left him for someone else and he’s resigned himself to being alone. Audra is a witch, she is the High Priestess of her coven and Selene’s (Camden’s wife) mom. She hasn’t found her consort yet but every time she’s near Carrick she gets a tingling feeling on her wrist where her consort mark should appear. Carrick and Audra are very attracted to each other and they’ve had sex a few times but Audra is hesitant to continue. Selene loves Carrick and wants him to be as happy as her and Camden and she may have found a way for him to have a second chance at a fated mate.

    My Carrick, my Carrick, my Carrick finally got his own book...yay. And it was so wonderful, sweet and sexy. He is the alpha of the bear pack and such a great guy. Loving father of triplett boys and a daughter, he is such a caretaker and never gets anything for himself. Audra is one of his daughter-in-laws moms, who just so happens to be a powerful witch. These two have such chemistry and my Carrick is quite the dirty talker *wags eyebrows*.

    So happy he got an hea of his own and with a wonderful well deserving woman, in need of her own hea. This was a safe read, no ow or om drama. A little suspense, many of our favorites from the series, an epilogue and an hea. Thank you Rochelle Paige for writing this book, it made my heart happy. Psst...fingers crossed that Damien gets a book too😉. I know, I know, subtle like a Mack truck.

    Carrick has been alone for a long time, he’s raised his sons to be strong and honourable men. His standing as the head Alpha of the bear clan as well as his position on the council has kept him busy.

    His sons are now mated and hopelessly In love with their mates. He has grandchildren that he adores. Though he’s lived alone without a mate to stand by his side, the one that fate had decided was his did not workout for him. She had already been mated to a wolf shifter. She was not the one he was truly meant to be with in any case. An evil and selfish woman.

    When Audra his daughter-in-laws mother first came to visit the attraction was mutual. For both of them. But with so much happening and the threat against their families it was not something they could openly pursue.

    Now though? That’s going to change, Carrick wants Audra for his. Fate obviously got it wrong the first time. She will be his mate. Forever.

    I was strongly disappointed that the hero, Carrick had to mate with one of his sons' mates' mothers. Why couldnt it have been someone new? I feel like the story wasnt his own because of it and it was hard for me to bother reading. I was also hoping she would have a book for the deagon shifter.

    Finally, the big bear gets his HEA. I'm so happy he found his love. The Alpha was one of my favorite characters and I hated the hand he was dealt. Fate has a funny way of working out.
