Beautiful Broken: a poetry collection (Musings of a Bibliophile Book 2) Kindle Edition
“It was truly a privilege to read this poetry collection. Each poem was a stand-alone treasure.” ~ Jessica VanderWerff, author of Like A Child: A Collection of Original Poetry
"Beautiful broken is a transparent snapshot of growing into adulthood in post modern America. The dystopian issues surrounding the world's savior since 9/11 make a blunt and provoking appearance through the eyes of a tenderly wise fiction writer: Amanda Leigh. Read and allow yourself to be changed when confronted, not only by foreign war and racial injustice, but domestic violence and oppression against the differences in the souls of humankind. This poetry collection is a must read and share to help consider mending the divisiveness that we see as permissible in our millennial culture." ~ Rebekah Palmer, author of A Letter to My Friend and A Letter to Myself
Life is a beautifully broken piece of art. Fractured pieces coming together to form our selves, our hearts, our souls, our world. A beautiful, fractured mosaic. One we build and shape day by day. In her poetry collection Amanda Leigh explores what she sees and has seen in humanity and in her life and self. Showing pieces of herself while at the same time taking on current and controversial issues. She bares pieces of her soul in every poem. Reveals pieces of herself and comments on current issues in her new collection, Beautiful Broken.

About the author

Amanda Leigh has had a love of words since before she could write them herself. Once she learned to read and write herself she just couldn’t stop. She reads any genre as long as the book sounds interesting. Which may explain why she can’t and never will be able to stick to one genre in her writing. From Contemporary Romance to Women’s Fiction to Paranormal Romance to Poetry and more to come. When she’s not writing or reading she enjoys getting swept away in a great TV show, going to the theater, listening to music, cooking and many different forms of art. She has a cat she adores and also loves Psychology, tea, coffee, chocolate and Elvis Presley. Not necessarily in that order. Feel free to get in touch with her.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2016It was truly a privilege to read this poetry collection. Each poem was a stand-alone treasure. The works were presented in such a way that the reader was immediately immersed into the settings and emotions that Amanda created.
Each poem brought on a new range of intense feelings. Amanda is able to evoke a strong sense of compassion and empathy that I think the world exponentially needs.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2016A lot of this book is very personal, so it's interesting to get to know Amanda Leigh. I loved that the titles were on a piece of artwork. The poems were simple and thought-provoking. Some had more of a punch than others, and some had something a little slightly extra to take it up a notch. I especially enjoyed Leigh's use of parenthesis to add to her poetry. Beautiful Broken was pretty good!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2016My five star review of - Beautifully Broken: a Poetry Collection
Written by Amanda Leigh
Poems are a reflection of a writer’s soul I like to believe. Poems can be used as metaphors in daily life. Poems can be used as wedding vows. Poems can be used to portray ones feelings. Poems can be dark yet filled with life. Poems can be beautiful yet reflect the darkness in someone’s soul. Poems are a writer’s core being that reflect what they have experienced, loved, wanted and hoped for. Poems are emotions given literary form. Amanda Leigh achieved everything I just said above. I felt, I loved, I was saddened, I was renewed and I was given hope when all I felt was the loss of myself. This writer made me contemplate my own experiences through reading her poems. What more can be said then I was moved emotionally and I was finally seeing the world through the feelings given written form of this writer. There are wedding vows here, there ls love here, there is loss here and there is life here in this poetry collection. Five stars are not enough. There are no words to describe how much I was affected then what I’ve typed in the review. Read these poems and feel alive with this writers words like I felt.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2016Honestly I am not a big poetry person. That being said, I loved this collection. Amanda has written about things that are commonly talked about and things that are not. She has opened herself up, in my eyes, in this collection. It reminds me that not everything is black and white. There are many shades of gray. We all have opinions and we all deserve to be heard. I feel privileged that I got to read this collection and I am sure that many will stay with me. Amanda's voice is one of many that deserve to be heard.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2016I have had the pleasure of reading this amazing poetry collection and I must say that Amanda Leigh gives a whole new meaning to poetry. Her pieces are relatable, understandable, and have such a realness about them that is hard to find now-a-days. I found myself nodding my head while reading almost every single poem. Amanda nails poetry and she certainly reaches the heart of issues that a lot of people are afraid to speak out about and issues that people look down upon.
