Ok, it’s a solid 4.5⭐️’s and I’ll tell you why. First of all, I loved both Renzo and Siobhan (whose name I didn’t know how to pronounce either, so thank you, Gavino 😂- this is the Mafia boss dude from book one of this series). The story was really intense in parts. Renzo came on strong but he was also sweet at the same time. Siobhan was a little naive but also very strong at the same time. She had a hard life in Ireland and he offered her the world if she came to America with him. Easy enough. However, complications made their appearance before they left, and also once they were on American soil. I loved everything about all that, up to and including how he ran into her while on a stakeout where she was on her own stakeout, it was a little funny. Second of all, even though characters from the previous books in the series make their appearance in this book, no worries at all, you can read this one as a stand-alone. If anything, it’ll make you want to go back and check the other books out.
And now I’m at the missing half a star from my review. I felt like some things were left unanswered, like the situation with her father, her sister, his former major crush. Total loose ends left there (can’t give details so I don’t give spoilers), and the ending was a tad abrupt. It all felt somehow like we’d be getting those answers in the next book, and I really hope that we do. All in all though, definitely worth reading!

Although this book can technically be read as a stand-alone I would personally read the others just so you can know all the other characters that pop into this book and their story. Siobhan gets thrown into a world she knows nothing about. This book takes us on a journey. Once secrets are revealed will Siobhan be able to forgive and move on? Will she be happy? I highly recommend this book. Oh and it includes a short story of one of the bodyguards. ☺️
