    You know how you know you are in the presence of a great storyteller? When you have to remind yourself while reading that this book is fiction not reality.  You get so engrossed in the story that you feel like you are in the actual book while events are unfolding.  Hayley Faiman is a master storyteller.

    Becoming His Mistress is the latest book in the Zanetti Famiglia series by Hayley Faiman. Arlo Zanaetti is marrying for duty rather than love. His duty and responsibilities are everything to him till he meets Elenora Lewis. 

    Where to start! Arlo Zanaetti is a made man, one of the Underbosses of the Italian mafia so why he felt like it was his sole duty to take on this responsibility of marrying Wynter is beyond me especially since he met Lenora right before the wedding. Usually a man make stupid decisions because of the package between his legs but Arlo is using his head while making stupid decisions.  He knew this would not turn out okay for all parties involved but he wanted what he wanted. It was a selfish decision and he made no apologies for it. This to me is what made him weak. When he took action to find a way to get Wynter out of his life because the way he felt about Leonora finally thinking with his heart, that made him a redeeming character. He was so wildly, madly and completely in love with Lenora, that made him redeemable. 

    I loved Lenora. In a cruel violent world that made up Arlo, she was his redeeming grace. She brought a softness to his character. What had me frustrated with her was all the red flags concerning Arlo. She saw them, heck her best friend Chloe saw them but refused to take the blinders off. She didn't go with her gut instinct because deep down she knew she would have to make a choice.  A choice that would take away the man she loved. I love imperfect characters, and both of these characters were definitely imperfect but put together were perfect for each other.

    This book was another phenomenal read by Hayley Faiman! I love the secondary characters and can't wait for the next book in this amazing series.

The way Hayley writes her characters makes me crave more of these windows because they seem very real. Hold on to your seats when you sit down to this one because it's going to be a bumpy ride.     It was great to come back to this world. I loved Arlo in the first book and I was excited to get his story. Arlo was determined to do his duty for the famiglia and marry a woman he despised. He didn't expect to fall for a beautiful woman weeks before his betrothal. I immediately liked Lenora she was so sweet and naive. There was so much going on in this book. I loved both characters and rooted for them to figure things out. This was a great addition to the series.

    This book just wasn’t for me. It was well written and flowed nicely but that’s about it. One thing I can’t stand is a weak heroine and the mc is beyond weak... she’s pathetic. Cheating doesn’t bother me if the hero is made to win back the heroine, but he doesn’t have to do anything except kiss and touch her and she folds up like a cheap suit. I hated the characters and didn’t have a good sense of their connection besides the sex. Oh and when she tells him she’s pregnant he accuses her of messing around with somebody else and when she points out that she was not the one who was unfaithful, he raises his hand to strike her but stops himself. I quit reading after that. At this point I think they deserve each other. I don’t really care about their hea. If he did it with you, he will do it to you.

    Oh wow! I’m fairly certain that Hayley Faiman can’t possibly write a sub par book, she never fails to intrigue! Becoming His Mistress is the second book in the Zanetti Famiglia series and it is fabulous! We met Arlo in book one and I for one was really excited to get his story, he’s such a great character. Lenora is also amazing. She’s sweet and so unlike the women Arlo usually surrounds himself with but the two of them fall quickly for each other. A sweet relationship would be ok, although the book would have been quite a bit different, only Arlo is set to marry and that leaves Lenora in a difficult position. Not going to give any hints, read the book. I will say that there’s a whole cast of exceptional characters that really need their own books and I really hope they get them. Also love Wynter’s name, but that’s all I liked about her. I also loved that Ms. Faiman gave us Luca and Chloe’s story in a short novella at the end of Becoming His Mistress, so great! Amazing job, once again, Ms. Faiman, you never let your readers down. I’m looking forward to seeing what your more than vivid imagination comes up with next! I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

    Becoming the Mistress is the second installment to the Zanetti Familglia series. This story is about Arlo and Elenora. This book aggravated be to no end! Ok more specifically Arlo did. I can’t believe he went forward with the wedding! Anyway like any good book, it pulled out so many emotions from me. I was ANGRY, hurt and just literally shook my head at some of their actions. At one point I was willing to throw my Kindle! Overall I was entertained and enjoyed it to the end.

Can't wait for book number 3 I wonder who it will be about? 😍😍😍

    I'm a little torn over this book. It gave me the feels and emotions and that's what great wiring is supposed to do. But the hero made a few decisions that i just couldn't deal with. Spoilers below, don't read the next bit if you don't want to know.

    I could forgive him marrying her, even though he was given an out that he didn't take. But i don't think there was any need for him to sleep with her (they both hated each other apparently so could have easily said we are not doing that) but i could maybe forgive that as having to consummate the marriage, but when he let her blow him in the car!?!?! That wasn't part of his duty! That was just cheating and considering how much he seemed to love the heroine i don't understand why he did that!?!?!
