- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2018Great book. The princess is always finding trouble and she always finds a way out. Behind the lines has lead her to a new system which has alien life. I look forward to the next book to see if she can form an alliance with them. The Bones saga has truly been a great read. Terry Mixon can spine a great tale. I also enjoyed his Humanity series. Check it out if you have not done so. another great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2017This was another exciting addition to this series. The last book really left Kelsey in a really tough position. Things did not go quite as I had expected, but it was overall well done. My only real gripe is that, at times, the plot is advanced in ways that indicate the author wanted things to turn out a certain way, but wasn't sure how to do it. This type of lazy writing has normally smart characters missing painfully obvious clues, making dumb decisions that are completely out of character, and coincidences galore to steer the story along. Not devestating to the book, but disappointing
- Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2017A continuation of the series. Although I received a "free" copy from the author for helping to proofread, I decided to purchase a copy from Amazon to help support the writer and the series. Although there is not a lot of space battles in this particular book it flows very well and is an excellent addition to the series. I am really interested in where he is going with the plot line. Solid self-published book and should be a welcome addition to anyone in the sci-fi, mil sci-fi genre. I really look forward to when another book comes along and can't wait until the next one comes along.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2017The Empire of Bones series is pretty good. I have read all of the books so far and while this one, book 7, is somewhat weaker than the others it's still a worthwhile read. It's weaker because the others all had a logical progression and this one plops you into the middle of something else. So in my mind not as good, but still damn good though. Hurry up with the next book Terry.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2020This has been my least favorite book in the series so far. What a tragedy of errors. After a good start in an unusual move to continue the story without Admiral Mertz this tale quickly falls flat. After spending most of Book 6 building and developing the charter of Commander Levy, he is almost completely absent here. That is unfortunate, because his skill set would have gone a long way stopping the Coup (oh, I mean escape). In fact the series of incompetentcies during the escape extends almost to the incomprehensible.
The other huge flaw in the story is what the heck happened to the 'Flip Map' created by Omega in Book 5? Kelsey Bandar spends entirely too much time looking for 'the Ghosts' and exploring 'Pandora' when she should have been looking for a system that might tie them into a path towards home. Granted, the Terran Empire could use all the allies it can get but what ever happened to operational priorities?
- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2017A good read. Very satisfied with this book. Overall the story is being consistent with the original story line. The characters have been developed as can be,they continue to assist their story very well. I recommend this book to all readers of space opera. The battle action is good. Thanks again

2.0 out of 5 stars Series distroyer
While I have enjoyed the series so far this volume has stretched my resolve. I dislike it when a scenario is created and then suddenly everybody makes mistakes and all the equipment fails. That is exactly what happened with the escapees part of this book. Also what happened to the locater when the officer was captured.
I finished the book just, will I read the next one, not sure.
