Bet Me: An Enemies-to-Lovers Small Town Romance (The Kanfield Brothers Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 80 ratings

Sawyer Kanfield
Smoking hot. Sexy as hell.
And the one person who could put me out of business.

If he thinks he's going to run me out of town for opening a microbrewery that competes with his, he's in for a fight.

And I'm going to win.

The Kanfield name will get him a few customers, but he knows my beer is better than his. That's why he keeps trying so hard to get close to me.

Flirty comments. Dinner invites. A kiss. He can do all that and more, but I'll never give him my secrets.

I admit I'm attracted to him, but I won't let that distract me. The stakes are too high. I put everything I have into this brewery and if it doesn’t succeed I’ll be left with nothing.

In a town this size, only one of us will survive and it's going to be me.

Except I'm starting to really like the jerk...

Is it possible to have both my brewery and Sawyer? Or will I be forced to choose?

A full-length standalone and book two of the Kanfield Brothers series. Each book can be read as a standalone.
Book one: Be With Me (Nick and Lyndsay)
Book two: Bet Me (Sawyer and Gina)

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ STEAM: 🔥🔥 Bet Me is a fun, low-angst, small-town rivals-to-lovers read. Gina just inherited a great space in Hayden Falls from her grandfather. Since bartending and brewing beers are what she does best, she uses the space to open her own microbrewery. Too bad it directly competes with Sawyer Kanfield's microbrewery on Hayden Fall's main street. And Sawyer is not thrilled about it. Especially since Gina was the girl that kept kicking his behind at all competitions in camp. Okay, he might have developed a small crush on the girl toward the end of the summer, but that was all in the past, right? I like the dynamic between Sawyer and Gina. Their chemistry was definitely palpable from their first meetup (as adults), and I love the playful tug-of-war between them as they navigated through their feelings. The ensemble cast was also fantastic. I love Sawyer's family, especially his dad. Near-death experiences give you a different perspective on life and love, and he provided a wonderful reminder not just to Sawyer and Gina but also to us readers that life is borrowed time. The couple of steamy moments were definitely hot. I thought it aligned very well with the tone and pace of the book. This book focused more on Sawyer and Gina's connection and how they could overcome huge adversities around their businesses and family dynamics, and it was great.

I have been a fan of Allie Everhart since I read her Wheeler Brothers series and ever since it ended I have honestly been really sad about it. I had loved the characters, especially Nash and Callie, so when I started reading Bet Me and realized that the male lead, Sawyer Kanfield, is cousin to the Nash and all the other Wheeler brothers I was ecstatic. So not only do I get to meet some awesome new characters, I also get to see where my favorite ones are after their books are over? Sign me up! And As I've literally just found out this is technically book two in this series, with book one being about Sawyer's older brother I'm definitely going to be going back to read it. And I can't wait for the next book in the series for the other Kanfield brothers.
Sawyer Kanfield is a competitive guy, and he can't stand to lose to anyone. So when a new brewery opens up in town he's prepared to take down the competition by any means. But when he goes to the new brewery he found out that the new owner is his one time childhood nemesis, Gina Slater... They went to summer camp together when they were seven and Gina had the audacity to beat him at everything at camp and Sawyer still hasn't gotten over it.
When Gina inherited a building from her grandfather she was ecstatic to finally have the opportunity to fulfill her dream of owning her own brewery. So she takes the chance and opens it, knowing that there is already a brewery in town, with the hope that there is enough business in town for both of them. But when Sawyer shows up at her brewery, upset that her opening sales promotion are damaging his business she can't help but still see the little boy throwing a tantrum about losing to her again. What start off as a rivalry between the breweries soon becomes an uneasy truce between them because of a few bets. Can these childhood rivals move beyond their past squabbles to explore the feelings they have for one another?

Bet Me is the second book from the Kanfield brothers. Sawyer Kanfield has just opened his brewery in his hometown after working hard to renovate his building and learn to brew beer. He's from the local Kanfield family and knows everyone in town, so when a rival brewery opens up he isn't too worried. Except its his enemy from years ago at sleep away camp! Gina is new to town, opening her brewery in a building left to her by her grandfather. She's not new to brewing but that doesn't mean the locals will accept her, especially with the brewery in town owned and run by one of the local town celebraties, Sawyer Kanfield. They find themselves attracted to each other but still competing like they did at age 7. Can they get past their competitive sides? Will an old boyfriend come between them? Are the locals going to accept Gina? You see appearances from Nick&Lyndsey, and the Wheeler Brothers from a previous serious. A great romance that has a competitive side. Who will win!? and what exactly is winning in this situation!

Absolutely enjoyed this book. Loved how this book shared characters with Allie’s other novels. It’s nice to be able to see how their lives are going as well.

I adored Sawyer & Gina. Both very independent and stubborn. But the story does a fantastic job with these characters and bringing them closer to each other. This book had me laughing, heartbroken, and begging for things to work out.
Loved the family aspect of the book, and hope to see these characters in upcoming books.

I always say this, but it’s another book I would recommend reading. I recommend ANY book by Allie Everhart.

Very good story about Gina and Sawyer! I love that they have known each other since they were kids and that they help and support each other while being competitive.

Very cute story, quick read, and great updates on some other fave Kanfield and Wheeler brothers!

I did like this story, however, I felt it was rushed a little.
    Sawyer is sweet and sexy.
    Gina is determined and independent.
I do like these Kanfield series.
