Beyond Redemption (Thieves' Guild Origins: LC Book Two): A Fast Paced Military Science Fiction Series (The Thieves' Guild) Kindle Edition
The infamous Thieves’ Guild, the most secretive organisation in the galaxy, doesn’t recruit kids… and with good reason. But now circumstances force their hand. When an undercover operation goes wrong, they have no choice but to bring in two potential recruits they’ve been watching.
Pulled from the chaos of the rebellion on Kheris, thirteen-year-old Luka finds himself thrown into the intense arena of field-op training alongside Zach Hilyer, another kid with a troubled past. Still struggling with injuries, and sent into a place far more dangerous than even the guild realises, Luka doesn’t know who he can trust and has no way out. The stakes rise fast, and he is faced with a decision that could prove fatal for them both.
Beyond Redemption is the second book in the Thieves’ Guild Origins series of fast-paced action adventure science fiction novels, featuring the hero of the main books, LC Anderton, where the action takes place in the high-tech Thieves' Guild universe of galactic war, knife-edge intrigue, alien invasion, thieves, assassins, bounty hunters and pirates.
“Excellent sequel to Kheris Burning, I couldn’t put this book down ’til the end…”
“…the most exciting scifi writer that I have read in the last 30 years.”

- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2017This book wasn't stellar in the writing, but it certainly kept my attention completely through, so I give it 4.5 stars. The beginning was a little weird, though. But it made a little more sense at the end. However, the first and last few pages aren't really the story. The rest of it is. Overall, I enjoted it, and I would recommend it.
Note: I received this book for free through Goodreads Giveaways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Written with a joy of the storyteller’s soul, fast paced, surprising and full of the unexpected.
As a review let me say this, you need to read ‘Kheris Burning’ the first book in this series . Not because this novel does not stand on its own, it does. Not because this novel disappoints, it doesn’t. Not because Keris Burning is the better novel, it’s not… But because Beyond Redemption deserves its Herald. It’s a great novel, a wonderful read, it’s fast, pacey, and once I picked it up I read it in two sittings, which would have been one but for Insomnia failing to win out against the demons of sleep. Like Kheris, there is more to it than just a straight up adventure sci-fi, themes from the first novel come through to the second, but those themes have moved on to bring in more complexity underlying what is always a fun read that draws you along and draws you deeper with each page. You need to read ‘Beyond Redemption‘ because it’s just as damn good. Written with a joy of the storyteller’s soul, fast paced, surprising and full of the unexpected. You just should read ‘Kheris Burning’ first.
C.G.Hatton continues to defy my expectations, the astounding standards she has set herself in her previous works she just keeps hitting again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sequel to Kheris Burning, I couldn't put this book down til the end.
I started reading this book and literally could not put it down, as I started reading late at night I thought I would read a little in bed before going to sleep. The problem was that I enjoyed the story so much that I continued reading straight through to the end and by that time it was early morning and the sun was up.
Beyond Redemption is highly addictive and an excellent sequel to Kheris Burning, following the story of the Young Luka Cole "Anderton" from the Thieves Guild series.
The story is gripping and barely pauses for breath and like the previous books the story rolls. It doesn't have huge amounts of overanalysing detail to fill up pages just very good story that is a joy to read.
I for one look forward to reading what Mrs Hatton writes next..
If you love SciFi and adventure then I recommend reading the Thieves Guild series and these prequels, currently book one Residual Belligerence is free on Amazon Kindle.
