    As I read “BEYOND THE COMPOUND,” I became incredibly invested in this story of Master Ronan and his Slave-girl Hailey. More so than I initially expected after reading the blurb. It was interesting to see what a full-time BDSM Dominant/Slave relationship could look like, and if the vision of author Claire Thompson is any indicator of that reality, then this reader gets its appeal. In this second book of The Compound Trilogy readers are again offered the opportunity to experience a form of BDSM that is titillating, dark and incredibly romantic. The romance was not something this reader expected, but author Claire Thompson places her readers inside the angst of both main characters, thereby giving those readers a deeper insight and understanding of the characters’ decision-making and actions. Then Thompson accelerates the relationship with circumstances which necessitate the building of trust quickly, and readers get to be the proverbial fly-on-the-wall as these much-loved characters fall in love with each other. It is not a formula, rather “BEYOND THE COMPOUND” is a different kind of “slow-burn” romance as Hailey and Ronan find in each other the person who both heals and completes them. If you are looking to purchase a GREAT romance with lots of heart, outstanding characters, and BDSM action, then “BEYOND THE COMPOUND” should be your next romance book purchase.     I really enjoyed the second book in what I hope will be a series. Ronan and Hailey rock as a couple. Ronan buys Haileys contract for six months as his personal sex slave. A famous action movie star, he sends his best friend, George, to procure a top notch slave from "The Compound" and flown back to LA.

    At first Ronan distances himself from "slave Hailey". Soon after they are "outted" by a waiter, things change in their relationship. We get to go back to The Compound and visit/catch up with old friends. I would love to see Sam get his own story (with Master Andrew) and also have George and Sophia get their own book. Worth the time and money. Intense a BDSM and Hot sex. What more can you ask for?

Ronan is a famous actor who is trying to  keep his BDSM lifestyle out of the limelight.  Follow their journey that eventually leads back to The Compound.  It was great to get to see the characters at The Compound again.  Does Ronan and Hailey find that connection they are looking for?  You will just have to buy this book for yourself to follow this amazing journey.  Claire Thompson thank-you for another great book.  Can't wait for book 3.

    Hailey and Ronan were perfect together. Both knew what they wanted, and weren’t shy about needing it. Of course, Ronan had to keep it from the world, being an A list actor and all. But even then, you could feel his displeasure with his life. Hailey was the opposite, taking time away from a life she loved to pursue her submission. Ridicously good chemistry between the two, kinks that lined up perfectly, and an admiration for the other, could only lead to them falling for each other. So they did, in perfect harmony, and completely in sync!
