Pizza? Derek Borne here, and I'm a Canadian author of Sci-Fi novels. When I'm not writing, I spend time with my lovely wife and our super fluffy kitty Libby. Other times, I'm eating pizza, belting out Broadway showtunes, playing guitar, eating pizza, watching anything to do with Marvel superheroes, and making movie references daily. Oh, and eating pizza.

And for added emphasis...pizza.

Do you believe in Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Mr. Big-toes? Is he myth or real? If captured, could he communicate? With The Ultimate Agent and Specialist on the case, the truth will “ultimately” be exposed.

Derek Borne’s The Bigfoot Files is a short story with an interesting fictional take on the legend of Bigfoot. I discovered my own super ability of devouring this entertaining story!!

The superhero duo of the Ultimate Agent and the Specialist are back in full force with the combination of their powers, humor, and wit. Showing that, “the world contains some strange and fantastic things.” As the case unfolds secret discoveries are found. The what, why, and how is all revealed! “The outside world isn’t all that kind to those who are different or look different. People also fear what they don’t understand.” Now that the truth is uncovered, can man and monster live in harmony?

Loved this story! This is a wonderful, fun, thrilling, exciting story, and I absolutely loved it! Such a fun and easy read, and a very creative and fascinating perspective on these creatures. For much of the story, the reader is not sure who is a good guy and who is a bad guy, which adds to the escalating intensity. Great characters, fascinating plot, and wonderful build-up of tension. The author shows a touching combination of sensitivity and tenderness along with the escalating tension and terror. Well written and very well done, and I can’t wait to read the next one in this series!

    it was amazing

I’ve been waiting ever so patiently for the next UA book to arrive when I found this amazing short story to hold me over. I just love Devon and Brett and was happy to see their bromance blossom even more. Their banter keeps me giggling for hours. I just love them to death. My favorite line was Yeti Unit. I was intrigued by the introduction of the mysterious Bigfoot. I mean who doesn’t want to know more about the folklore of Bigfoot. It had me turning page after page in a matter of minutes. I couldn’t stop reading. The action scenes were spot on and riveting. I hope the author decides to incorporate more stories like this to get to know more folklores or even other agents.

What a fun little read, for something that's less than 50 pages, this little wonder packs a mean punch.

I was hooked from the start, and if you follow the Ultimate Agent series, then you're going to love the MC's and their special unique personalities. Starting off on a fun quirky note, things soon turn dangerous, and a little deadly. This play off an old monster tale was something to behold, and I can't wait for more books in this mini side series. It's also a makes waiting for UA book three, a little more bearable.

Overall this books as a whole gets my super high recommendation and my stamp if approval.

    Happy Reading

I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The super spy duo are called to go to Oregon in the Umatilla forest by the army. Tourists were discovered mutilated and it's believed that Bigfoot is to blame. But as the heroes dig deeper, they discover that there's more going on and learn way more about this mythical creature. There's plenty of action, intrigue and humor that will keep you turning the pages and before you know it, the story is done, leaving you wanting more. I highly recommend this one!

I loved this take on the urban legend. I admit to having watched a show or two on the bigfoot. Borne's take on it flips the legend on it's head and gives us some food for thought about what all's involved in making all those legends that go bump in the night.

I really enjoyed reading “The Bigfoot Files” by Derek Borne. Some of the things I loved about the book was how it stayed with the storyline developed in the first Ultimate Agent book. I also appreciated that this was another book in the series that I could read with my 13-year-old son. He loves this series. And finally the book flowed perfectly and I wanted to read more after the last page. It was an excellent book and I cannot wait to read more.

And I now have the utmost respect for Big Foot.

“No matter what we may cause, whether on purpose or inadvertently, everyone still deserves to be treated fairly,” Devon spoke hoping his words would reach the compassion he could read inside of her. "We're all capable of redemption."

This story follows Derek and Brett as they help the US Army search for Bigfoot.
Even though I felt some of the dialogue at the beginning of the book was a bit juvenile(although I am not a guy, so maybe that's just the way guys are when females aren't around?), I did find the story to be interesting. I can't say a whole lot without giving away spoilers. I thought the Bigfeet(?) were creative in how they were portrayed and their backstory. I think we will be seeing more of them. I also think there was an Easter egg left towards the end(again can't say without it being a spoiler) although I could be totally wrong.
If you've read the other UA books, I think this is a nice addition to the series. If you haven't read the previous UA books, I think you could still read this, but you might not quite understand the backstory and characters nearly as well.
