Basil The Bionic Cat Kindle Edition
Basil’s scientist owner; Mr P. has developed a super strength serum, that if falls into the wrong hands would cause world-wide mayhem.
An Eastern European Mafia gang learn of this new creation and are determined to get their hands on it by any means necessary and Basil’s family are put in grave danger.
After the gang kidnaps Mr. P.’s twin daughters, Basil takes it upon himself to get his family back no matter the cost to himself.
This wild and at times, rather comical adventure set deep in the English countryside features mad professors, secret laboratories, a slightly unhinged tuxedo kitty called Posie, seven rather hilarious mice and a whole host of other characters you’ll never forget.

About the author

I love cats, so I write about them in books and on a blog: www.bionicbasil.com
You can meet the Basil and The B Team - my feline muses - Amber, Smoochie, Parsley, Pandora, Fudge and Melvyn on the blog most days of the week; where we share Brain Training with Cats, Crafting with Cats, Colouring with Cats, Fashion with Felines, Pet Peeves with Parsley, plus Book Reviews with Amber, our very own resident library cat; yes, she does have an actual library, and a whole host of other really fun stuff. Including free downloadable colouring books, free mandala's and free puzzles to keep your little grey cells in tip-top condition. In fact, if you love cats as much as I do, this will be right up your alley (pardon the pun) on so many levels.
There are several of The B Teams adventures being published this year, as well as several other picture books and stories.
I've also created The Epically Epic Pet Journal for pet lovers worldwide to create their very own memory book, plus there are lots more journals and notebooks coming soon, so stay tuned.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2022If you love cats you will love this book! Written by someone who knows cats, the feline characters in this story, though fictional, ring true! You won't be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2018Through an accident Basil is exposed to an experimental compound and becomes invincible! A good thing too, because he uses his super abilities to save his human sisters. This is and exciting read for kids (and grand parents)
Hope to see more Basil Books!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2012The center of this book is a family, with a scientist father, a mother who is slightly absent minded, their twin girls, an Aunt who seem to be the domestic help as well and of course Basil and his shadow, a kitten. The father is in the process of developing a substance that can cause genetic modification of living things coming in contact with it.
Basil, who is curious like all of his cousins, somehow manages to touch this substance and over a short period develops superior physical characteristics. His skeleton and muscles turn super strong, his claws are metallic and even his fur could hurt you if you are not careful. Don't bump into Basil, you will come off short.
Of course a discovery of such a miraculous substance can't be kept a complete secret. All kinds of people are after it and pretty soon the family and Basil are involved with saving it from spies and so on. A real adventure.
Aside from finding the language old fashioned, the characters somewhat affected and the story seeming to take a while to come to conclusion, it was an entertaining story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Read
Basil the Bionic Cat is a fun read and though it is a children's book it can just as easily be read by grown ups in the mood for a fantasy outing, peopled by larger than life characters. The prose bounces along and its an amusing, read that takes you out of yourself and into the world of Basil who shares his home with a mad professor, cheeky twins and lots of tame mice! A cheery book to get engrossed in during the grey cold winter.
