About the authors
Craig is a million-selling author of science fiction (post-apocalyptic, military sci-fi, and space opera), thrillers, and non-fiction.
Craig retired from the Marine Corps after a long career in the military intelligence community, having worked with most of the U.S. Government's three-letter agencies. After a short stint with physical security, Craig went to law school, graduated summa cum laude, and went into business consulting. From intelligence, to the inner workings of company board rooms, to on-the-ground leadership, Craig has seen it firsthand.
His books are an extension of his experience, putting the trials and tribulations of a fast-paced world into your hands. Whether in Science Fiction, Thrillers, Fantasy, or even his Non-Fiction, you'll find consistent themes of justice and doing right by those who are counting on their leaders. Leadership is a service, not a crown to lord over others.
No matter where Craig went, he always had a book with him. Thanks to 21st Century technology, He now has thousands of books at his fingertips and with him wherever he goes. How many books would he have read on deployments had he not had to carry a physical book?
No one is encumbered like that now. Craig loves the works of Robert Heinlein, Anne McCaffrey, Andre Norton, JRR Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, and so many more. He has been compared to Andre Norton and that is humbling - she was an incredible author with a huge list of novels to her credit. With every new book, Craig aspires to live up to those that you, the readers, have compared him to.
Through a bizarre series of events, Craig ended up in Fairbanks, Alaska. He never expected to retire to a place where golf courses are only open for four months out of the year. But that's the way it is. It is off the beaten path. He and his wife get to watch the northern lights from their driveway. Their dog has lots of room to run, just until temperatures reach fifty below zero. They have from three and a half hours of daylight in the winter to twenty-four hours in the summer.
It’s all part of the give and take of life. If they didn’t have those extremes, then everyone would live in the sub-arctic.
Michael Anderle (ok, weird talking about myself in the 3rd person) (1967-Hopefully a long time from NOW) was born in Houston, Tx. A very curious child, he got into trouble - a lot. What to do with an inquisitive mind when he was grounded? Read!
Ok, done with all of that 3rd person stuff.
In the first 20 years, I mostly read Science Fiction and Fantasy. In the last 10 years I have enjoyed Urban Fantasy and Military Fiction. With this background, I've been blessed with creating The Kurtherian Gambit series, a well-selling, and fan loved, collection of stories.
The fans have propelled these stories beyond my wildest imagination and they should get all of the credit for sharing with friends, family and occasionally the random person on the street. They are fantastic!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2023The unique cast of characters in the Bad Company continues to adapt, improvise and overcome everything the new space missions throw at them as Marines of old they have been trained to emulate! Dynamic action and the focus of family fills every page. Well Done! 👍👍
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2024The Bad Company is fast paced with extreme action for the reader to enjoy. Unique and 'other' team mates make for interesting interactions. Their hearts are in the right place as they do their best to fight for injustice.
Recommend starting at book one, to catch all the characters and their super powers.
Enjoy your reading

- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2024This book was excellent, as is usual for books within the Kurtherian Gambit universe.
While this doesn't affect my star rating in any way, this book barely fit within (on the long side) my preferred average chapter length of taking me about 10-15 minutes per chapter to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2023I greatly enjoyed this space adventure. I loved the cast and the fast paced actions. I highly recommend reading this and all the other stories in this set.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2023I really enjoy this group and their universe! Later I'll have to read the origins. Finding out how TH got his fleet is fun and adventure in one.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2018Yes, this was a great TH read. A very quick one, as well.
Action, excitement, new species, new home, this has all of it.
But... I'm not thrilled with the fact that Craig is pulling away from an overarching tale in lieu of a serial. This feels like a tv series where the writers have to wrap everything up in 45minutes.
It might have to do with Craig doing too much at one time, or his B5 addiction. I don't know. What i do know is that i want more depth. I know that he's capable of it. We've seen it in most of the other books. I'd like to see it here
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2019CM/MA have penned the second novel of the Bad Company, which is a Military Combat Action Adventure. The Bad Company agrees to a contract to assist a planet that has been surrounded by unknown space craft who have the intent of eliminating the entire population. The Bad Company and space ship War Hawk are committed to breaking the blockade, destroying the space fleet and feeding the people. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

5.0 out of 5 stars Savor every page💕
This series of books are the most amazing books that I have ever read. I couldn't put it down. This book has everything, action, adventure, and I could go on and on. I felt that I was also with them on all their journeys and I went through all of the emotions and shared all of their feelings. Read in now, and read it again later because I guarantee that you will be right there with me waiting impatiently for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it.
Great character and universe building. I also enjoy TH's ego and his humility. It's the reality of so many of us. Thanks for a great series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
Absolutely loving the new direction of Terry Henry Walton and Char’s pack and family. Taking their fight to those destroying or controlling other species and planets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!
Yet another cracking book that beats the last from this author. Several standout moments and storylines that made me laugh. I'm loving the characters and story more each book and am looking forward to the next one. I would love it if several character couples could have some surprise children, including Terry and Char. The chaos would be hilarious. Cheers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Blockade: Age of Expansion - A Kurtherian Gambit Series (The Bad Company Book 2)
