Blue Christmas: A Prophecy Series Holiday Novella (The Prophecy Series) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 27 ratings

A hilarious and heart-warming story about the Bock family's first Christmas together, and one child's determination to make sure Santa can find her and her new siblings. Even in space.

Parenting is not for the faint of heart.

After leading a resistance, repelling an alien invasion, saving both their worlds, and fulfilling an ancient prophecy, Alex and Gryf are more than ready to embrace the peace and quiet of domestic tranquility with their new little family. But, when their four-year-old daughter stows away aboard her mother’s transport to Earth, she sets off a chain of events that brings the holidays to
Atlantis.

Join the Bock family as they celebrate what makes the holiday season so very special.

A hilarious and heart-warming story about the Bock family's first Christmas together, and one child's determination to make sure Santa can find her and her new siblings. Even in space.

(
Blue Christmas is a companion story to my novel Prophecy, Book One of the Prophecy Series. While it could be read as a standalone, it would be best enjoyed after reading Prophecy.)

USA Today Bestselling Author Lea Kirk loves to transport her readers to other worlds with her science fiction romance. She's been making first contact, two hearts at a time, since her award-winning Prophecy series released in 2016. Her adventures continue with the tongue-in-cheek humor of the Silverstar Mates, a series that proves you're never too old for love.

Little known fun fact: She's also proud of her seven-times great-grandson, James T. Apparently her stories will serve as the inspiration for him to join Star Fleet Academy. She learned this in the 1980's when James sought out her counsel on where to find a pair of humpback whales. (Yeah, that part hit the cutting room floor before the movie was released. Go figure.)

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. ;-)

A fun novella addition to Kirk’s Prophecy series. Alexandra Bock, mother to three of Earth’s orphans, loses little Maggie on the Fleet Cruiser Atlantis. Maggie’s last words were of her concern for Kizzie Koss. Maggie stows away on her mother’s transport ship to Earth and chaos ensues. A poignant reminder that family are the people we love and that the spirit of Christmas is universal.

This is a cute sci-fi Christmas story. You kind of have to read the series to get the back story of the characters. Even if you don't read it, you still get a good story out of it. Very cute.

For those who have read other books in this series, it's a welcome chance to check in on the Bock-Helyg family. Santa is magical and, of course, will find Maggie, but she doesn't know that. The fun is how this all come about. Great addition to the Prophecy series.

Summary:
Christmas is a very important holiday for children especially after everything they lost when their world was almost destroyed. With the help of the Matrian’s they are rebuilding keeping all of the adults preoccupied in their endevors. Now Maggie may be four years old, but her siblings have explained the importance of who Kizzie Koss, or Santa Clause, is to them. When Maggie asked her mother Alex if “Kizzie Koss was OK” she didn’t understand what she was asking. IT was sad that the children were asking if the bad aliens as they called them had took Santa when they invaded. Thus begun Maggie’s adventure to sneak aboard a shuttle to try and find Santa.

This was a perfect holiday short story that brought all my childhood memories to life. I loved how far the kids would go and how far the adults ( human and Matrian) would go to give all the children a holiday they would remember.

"How will Santa find me if I'm not on earth?" ponders four-year-old Maggie? How does one explain to a non-human a tradition that has become more than its religious core yet is based on the moral precepts embodied therein? This little sci-fi romantic squib does just that, beautifully, lovingly, and with a great deal of humor. A perfect Christmas story!

What a truly delightful story! Even in space, Christmas can be celebrated! This well-written story touched my heart in many ways & had me yearning for such a special Christmas myself! I loved it a lot & could not put it down! Hope you will too!
