Blurred Lines: A Small Town Grumpy Hero Romance (Redemption Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 2,403 ratings

There was absolutely no way she was falling for her neighbor. No matter how gorgeous he was.

Aurora Keller thought she’d lucked out when she decided to put down roots in Redemption, Tennessee. She had a new business, new friends, and a picture-perfect little house. There was just one problem, and it came in the form of her six-foot-three tattooed, muscle-bound neighbor from hell, who just so happened to be her best friend’s future brother-in-law. It really wasn’t fair that Satan’s offspring was so nice to look at.

Callum Morrison wasn’t a good man. Or at least that was what he’d convinced himself. After a series of bad decisions that had resulted in the worst years of his life, all he was looking for was peace and quiet. Too bad he bought a house right next door to the one woman he wanted but could
neverhave. That was enough to make any man grumpy.

What had started as a war against two neighbors turned into something so much more.

And if they aren’t careful, the fallout could destroy them both.

4.5 Stars!! A sexy and fun, opposites attract romance!

4.5 Stars!! A sexy and fun, opposites attract romance!
4.5 Stars Aurora Keller and her new neighbor do NOT get along... in fact, Callum Morrison seems to go out of his to way to show her just how much he dislikes her. And while these two opposites vow to avoid each other, it isn't long before a simmering attraction between them becomes an all-consuming desire that they can only deny for so long... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blurred Lines was a sexy and fun, opposites attract romance! Aurora is a bubbly yoga teacher who is the life of the party, and her grouchy neighbor is an ex-con who rarely cracks a smile. But when Callum's brother marries Aurora's best friend, avoiding each other is about to become all-out impossible... This book was such a fantastic read, and I really, really loved Aurora! She was an independent woman who cared deeply for her friends, and fully embraced her new life in Redemption. The animosity that she and Callum shared was as entertaining as it was sexy, and it kept me absolutely absorbed in this story!  Callum was the gruff, tattooed, and way-too-sexy, bad boy neighbor who seems to love getting under Aurora's skin. But while Callum comes off as an unapproachable grouch, he is actually harboring some incredibly deep scars from the time he served in prison. Making a mistake when he was young, Callum paid his dues, but he realizes that he can never go back to what his life was like before his incarceration... This book was an all-around, delightful read! Full of sex, snark, and some well-earned redemption, Aurora and Callum fought hard for their superbly deserved HEA. As another wonderful read from the fabulous Redemption series, it is always wonderful to catch up with previous characters, and of course to get hints of the new and assuredly amazing stories to come! I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Broken heroes break my heart every single time - it's just so easy to fall for them. That's definitely the case in this small town, enemies to lovers romance. This is my first time reading something by Prince, and it certainly won't be the last. I dove right into the middle of this series of interconnected standalones with no trouble, and I have no regrets. I loved the enemies to lovers friction paired with the small town charm, the friend group, and the sexual tension. It's a tense, sexy read that somehow manages to remain (mostly) light, even when tackling some difficult subjects. I swooned for this broken hero... though I also kinda wanted to shake some sense into him. It's easy to see the connection that sparks between this couple, and they just can't seem to stay away. This love story held my attention, and served as an excellent introduction to Prince's work.

The story follows Callum, a man who was released from prison a year ago, and is still fighting the demons that plagued him there. His sexy, infuriating neighbor drives him crazy in the best of ways, but he knows that he's not in the right headspace for love - nor is he worthy of someone so great. Aurora has always believed that the intense feelings between she and Callum are hate, but spending time with him makes her realize that he's more complex than expected. Yes, he drives her crazy with his surly ways and hot-and-cold mood swings, but there just might be a decent man hidden underneath his gruff exterior. A lovable man. Forced to spend time together at wedding festivities, Callum and Aurora work out their tension.

If you love a good guy who has lost his way, then you're gonna fall for Callum. He served his time, and it's changed him. He's still trying to figure out who he is now, and there are some heartbreaking elements to his past. I really felt for Callum, and it was easy to feel compassion for him... even when he was getting in his own way. There's plenty of friction between Callum and Aurora - not so much enemies to lovers, but more two people trying to figure each other out, and getting frustrated in the process. While they fight and struggle with their feelings, there's also something that draws them together. I liked the missteps along the way, and I always remained hopeful that they could work things out. There were one or two things that I didn't love (that Aurora is drunk during their first hookup, that one of their fights went a little too far), but I really did enjoy the story as a whole. I read it in essentially one sitting, and I'm left with a strong desire to read more of Prince's work - so that is a definite win.

I love a good enemies to lovers romance. Aurora and Callum had some explosive chemistry. From the very beginning their fights were fiery. Callum tried so hard to fight his feelings. When it came to Aurora he felt like he wasn’t good enough for her, even though she was the only person who made him feel something other than darkness. Aurora was a great heroine. She put up with a lot from Callum and couldn’t figure out why she felt such a pull towards him. When they finally were able to put aside their “hate” their relationship just fell into place. Callum still had a lot of problems from his seven years in prison, but Aurora seemed to settle him. There were a few times when I wanted to strangle Callum but for the most part he was the quintessential book boyfriend when get gave into his feelings. I only wish there had been more of Callum’s prospective and more in between the final chapter and the epilogue. I wasn’t ready to finish Callum and Aurora’s story and I felt like there was a lot left open-ended. I can’t wait for Laeth, Wynn, and Pope to get their own books.

    I freakin’ devoured this baby!

Not that it’s a huge surprise considering how much I love this series and the others that are connected to it, but, yeah…Aurora and Callum ~ and their friends and family ~ totally hooked me and kept me turning the pages until there were no more words to read.

I adored Aurora and Callum. Aurora is feisty, sassy, snarky and has a huge heart. She does tend to react before she thinks at times, but she definitely holds her own when it calls for it. Callum. This guy. I spent the majority of the book wanting to Gibbs smack him and hug him at the same time. He’s got a lot of things to work through, but beneath the grumpy outer shell is a guy with a golden heart.

As for their journey to their HEA. It was apparent from the start that their chemistry was off the charts, and as much growling and eye rolling I may have done, I got why there was so much push/pull between them. But even when they were at odds, they had a flow that was undeniable and truly saw who the other person was and could be, and despite quite a few bumps in their road, I’m happy with how everything worked out for them in the end.

This book is a great addition to the series. I was hooked from the start and loved catching up with everyone. There are some moments that could be triggers, but they were necessary when it came to understanding the characters and their growth in the book. As for the Redemption crew, Rose was a trip and I loved getting to spend some time with Willow and Stone, but Laeth is the one that interests me the most, so toes crossed that we get his book sooner rather than later, but if it’s later, I’m sure I won’t mind all that much.

Another fantastic instalment in the Redemption series. Loved the story line and the characters. Aurora and Callum were the prefect mix and I loved that neither of them changed who they were, they learned to live and love.

In all honesty the only thing I can think of that was missing from this book, and this is just for me is more on information on Callum’s time inside. I know a lot was hinted at, but I need more 😂

I hope there are a few more books to this series, please 🙏

I loved the fireworks between them and I love Aurora's self confidence and backbone. I can't wait to dig into the next book in the series.

Just read the first book of the series. Rest all the books are the same.. Spoiler alert.. female lead has/develops a crush on the male lead. Her car gives her trouble. Male lead jumps to help her. Then she crushes even harder. Male lead starts giving mixed signals and finally they kiss but male lead pulls away and says he can’t be in a relationship for xyz reason. Then the female lead gets wasted with her friends but somehow she has enough consciousness to sleep with the male lead. In the morning, they fight and somehow they get back sex scene number 2. Then there is phase of male lead trying to woe the female lead. Followed by an incident. After the incident they realise their undying love sex scene 3 and happy every after.

The next character introduction will be made in the last few chapter. Every male lead gives the female lead a nickname and after sex scene 1, they call each other baby

This is repeated in every book in this series. Very very very predictable. I was so so bored. Not worth reading every book. Read the first one . Only change in name

Yes! I loved this story so much! It had so many of my favorite things - strong female lead, possessive alpha male lead, enemies to lovers vibe, some laugh out loud wtf moments, and a whole lot of spice, angst, passion and need!

This is the first series I've read by Jessica and she does an amazing job tying everything together and sprinkling in little bread crumbs of prior series couples to answer any lingering questions I may have had. I will absolutely be diving into all of her series now.
