There is absolutely zero love lost when it comes to Marin Grey and her ex-boyfriends frosty brother, Pierce Walton. But now that Marin is a single woman, and finally shot of her abusive ex, the divide she once felt with Pierce is suddenly feeling inexplicably changed, and very, very intimate… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bombshell was a sexy and sweet, single father romance, with a dash of enemies to lovers drama thrown in! Marin and Pierce met each other when Marin was with her ex-boyfriend, who happened to be the polar opposite of his brother, Pierce. And while they started out as very strained acquantices, it doesn’t take long for Marin and Pierce to succumb to their highly reciprocated attraction… Marin was a generous, sweetheart of a woman who had the unfortunate experience of having to extract herself from an abusive relationship. And while she has done what she can to put the trauma of that relationship behind her, she has no desire to jump back into the volatile world of dating. Pierce lost his wife when his son was very young, and he has embraced his single dad lifestyle, ever since. And while he had his reasons for keeping his distance from Marin, the cold shoulder he could maintain while she was dating his brother has no chance of surviving now that Marin has become a part oh his life… The romance between Marin and Pierce had a steamy, close proximity plot that delivered a heartwarming and engrossing love story. Marin was a strong and admirable character who always seems to go above and beyond to help the people she cares about. Pierce was a man nursing a shattered heart after losing his wife, and was dedicated only to his adorable son… until his heart makes room for the woman he never thought he could have… This book was an incredible introduction to the much anticipated Whiskey Dolls series… and I am already completely invested in Marin and her burlesque dancing friends!!     I got this book free on my Kindle. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author. I loved the main characters Pierce, (his son Eli, his gassy dog Titan) and Marin. Although the story had some very serious content, the loss of his spouse and her ending a three year abusive relationship with his brother, it also had plenty of humor. Her special relationship with her sister Tali, who was dealing with a failing marriage and her hilarious, but insightful neighbor Mrs. Weatherby also added a great deal to this story. I really loved this book and look forward to reading additional books in this series.

    BOMBSHELL: A SMALL-TOWN ROMANCE is a really good book. Pierce is the tragic widower raising his young son on his own. The first time he saw Maris, he was besotted until his mother introduced her as his brother’s girlfriend.

    Maris broke up with the brother and few knew why. After giving her the cold shoulder so he didn’t act on his attraction, Pierce accepts Maris’ offer to babysit his son, Eli.

    The proximity does them both in, and you’ll have to see how these two end up after making each other miserable. I loved the whole Whiskey Dolls concept and hope to read more books from the series.

    Whiskey Dolls is a new series written by Jessica Prince. This is a spin-off of her Hope Valley Series and features the girls of the burlesque club. We first met Marin in Charlotte’s story. At that time, she was in an abusive relationship with Frank, who finally got what he deserved. Marin, being the strong, confident woman she is, moved on, was thriving in her job and her life was going great. She inadvertently runs into Pierce, who is the smarter, successful brother of her ex, at a cooking class. Pierce is a widowed and loving father, and his son, Eli, comes first in his life.  Pierce finds himself needing someone to watch his son while he is at work, and Marin volunteers. These two have a hard time denying their feelings for each other, and when they finally give in, sparks fly, and their chemistry is off the charts! They just can’t get enough of each other. Marin in so sweet and quirky, and she is perfect for Pierce.  and I like the relationship that she formed with Cool Guy Eli. When Pierce has a hard time accepting that she is the one for him and not just a fling, he has second thoughts and pulls away, Marin is devastated. The scenes with her sister and her friends are extremely funny. When Pierce finally comes to his senses, will Marin let him back into her life? This is a wonderful start to a new series. I am so looking forward to more. I love the small-town dynamic and that there is a connection to the Hope Valley family. If you are looking for a story that will make you swoon, I highly recommend this book!! You will definitely not be disappointed.

    This book was fabulous. Marin is the happiest, sweetest person full of love and light and Pierce is the perfect, ice king/gentleman you could ask for! Pierce guards his heart closely ever since losing his first wife and absolute love-of-his-life. Unfortunately, he lost her when their son was only a few months old so he’s been a single dad for several years now.

    Marin is a burlesque dancer at a really ritzy club and has plenty of time on her hands outside of her job. She decides fo take a cooking class at the same time as Pierce does. Pierce and Marin are horrible cooks but it’s this class that gets them reacquainted with each other. Marin used to be Pierce’s little brother’s girlfriend but his brother turned out to be a real piece of work (enabled by their mother) so he and Marin parted ways. Pierce never knew the story but honestly tried not to hear anything about Marin because the first time he saw her he fell in lust and went running away once he discovered his brother was dating her.

    This story had the lust-at-first-sight, slow burn to white hot heat romance, and second chance romance down to a T. Also, Pierce’s little boy, Eli, was an amazing addition and was absolutely adorable. I hope in Ms. Prince’s other books we will get to hear more about the characters she’s already written the stories for. Love reading about extended HEAs 😁💕. Can’t wait to read the next now!

    This is my first read from the author. This book was ok. I did enjoy it. I think the instant lust attraction written as a slow burn did create a bit of fractured reading experience. I felt like through most of the story I was missing something. Over this was a quick read and ok read.
