There is absolutely zero love lost when it comes to Marin Grey and her ex-boyfriends frosty brother, Pierce Walton. But now that Marin is a single woman, and finally shot of her abusive ex, the divide she once felt with Pierce is suddenly feeling inexplicably changed, and very, very intimate… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bombshell was a sexy and sweet, single father romance, with a dash of enemies to lovers drama thrown in! Marin and Pierce met each other when Marin was with her ex-boyfriend, who happened to be the polar opposite of his brother, Pierce. And while they started out as very strained acquantices, it doesn’t take long for Marin and Pierce to succumb to their highly reciprocated attraction… Marin was a generous, sweetheart of a woman who had the unfortunate experience of having to extract herself from an abusive relationship. And while she has done what she can to put the trauma of that relationship behind her, she has no desire to jump back into the volatile world of dating. Pierce lost his wife when his son was very young, and he has embraced his single dad lifestyle, ever since. And while he had his reasons for keeping his distance from Marin, the cold shoulder he could maintain while she was dating his brother has no chance of surviving now that Marin has become a part oh his life… The romance between Marin and Pierce had a steamy, close proximity plot that delivered a heartwarming and engrossing love story. Marin was a strong and admirable character who always seems to go above and beyond to help the people she cares about. Pierce was a man nursing a shattered heart after losing his wife, and was dedicated only to his adorable son… until his heart makes room for the woman he never thought he could have… This book was an incredible introduction to the much anticipated Whiskey Dolls series… and I am already completely invested in Marin and her burlesque dancing friends!!     This book was fabulous. Marin is the happiest, sweetest person full of love and light and Pierce is the perfect, ice king/gentleman you could ask for! Pierce guards his heart closely ever since losing his first wife and absolute love-of-his-life. Unfortunately, he lost her when their son was only a few months old so he’s been a single dad for several years now.

    Marin is a burlesque dancer at a really ritzy club and has plenty of time on her hands outside of her job. She decides fo take a cooking class at the same time as Pierce does. Pierce and Marin are horrible cooks but it’s this class that gets them reacquainted with each other. Marin used to be Pierce’s little brother’s girlfriend but his brother turned out to be a real piece of work (enabled by their mother) so he and Marin parted ways. Pierce never knew the story but honestly tried not to hear anything about Marin because the first time he saw her he fell in lust and went running away once he discovered his brother was dating her.

    This story had the lust-at-first-sight, slow burn to white hot heat romance, and second chance romance down to a T. Also, Pierce’s little boy, Eli, was an amazing addition and was absolutely adorable. I hope in Ms. Prince’s other books we will get to hear more about the characters she’s already written the stories for. Love reading about extended HEAs 😁💕. Can’t wait to read the next now!

    I got sucked down the rabbit hole in this one! I started this book late last night and before I knew it was 12:30 and I was at 77%. I had to force myself to put down the kindle and go to sleep or otherwise I would finished in one sitting. Pierce is a single dad, trying to do everything he can for his son but it isn't easy. He never thought he'd find love again but enter Marin..They'd met briefly when she was dating his horrible brother and there was a spark. No one other Marin and her girls knew what really went down between her and Frank.. The times they kept bumping into each other were great and the interaction between Marin and Eli were so sweet! Her and Pierce had amazing chemistry but like always there's a moment when one of them gets scared and screws everything up.. That moment where they have to learn to open their hearts and grovel a little to prove their love. I enjoyed both characters as well as her sister, her girl and of course, Ms. Weatherby. This was such a great book with characters you absolutely LOVE and some you literally loathe and can't believe they would be like this! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

    When Pierce runs into Marin again he knows it’s going to be a losing battle to deny the attraction he feels for her. She was off limits before, his little brothers former girlfriend is still as beautiful as before and the desire he’d kept hidden for her is consuming.

    Marin always thought Pierce hated her, so she’d stayed away from him while silently hating him and lusting after him at the same time. Being confronted with him at a cooking class they were taking brought it all back.

    What they thought was dislike towards the other is about to change. The chemistry cooking in this kitchen is about to boil over.

    Laugh out loud hilarious banter that’ll have you on the floor and smoking hot scenes will have you gripped.

    There’s not much I didn’t like about this book. It had all of the qualities of any Jessica Prince story...humor, heat adorable kids! I absolutely love how Pierce stood up for Marin with his mom and his brother! I can’t wait to see which Whiskey Doll is next!

    2 reasons why I couldn’t give this book a full 5 stars:
    1. I get wanting to have the Hero’s name be somewhat exotic, but keep the rest of the family names in line with it. Pierce and Frank!? Doesn’t quite seem close.
    2. I love when authors use the title somewhere in the story, but after the first (ok maybe second) time, it looses it luster. When Pierce keeps referring to Marin as a “bombshell” it doesn’t have the same affect and becomes overused.
