I'll be Boned for Christmas (Collier's Creek Christmas) Kindle Edition
Jordan
I’ve got a rep in town for causing trouble, and it’s well-earned. But when Nick and I get caught streaking after the tree lighting ceremony, we’re in for a messload of community service to get the town ready for the Collier’s Creek Christmas Bash. Except I’ve been craving to be taken more seriously, and Nick seems to be the only person in town who does.
Nick
After Jordan and I get in trouble, one joke leads to slipping between the sheets—or at least, the stalls—and suddenly we’re hooking up on the regular. It’s everything I’d told myself I didn’t want from my straight best friend, and I’m falling too hard and too fast. Yet my sister’s upcoming wedding is the reminder that I’m not just looking for a plus one there…but for keeps, and Jordan and I are just temporary. No matter how badly I want him to be mine.
Celebrate the holidays with the men of Collier’s Creek, where magic fills the air and irresistible romances are the highlight of the festive season. Six low-angst romances, each filled with heartwarming moments and swoon-worthy romance.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2024In small-town Collier’s Creek, Wyoming two childhood friends Jordan and Nick get drunk and decide to go streaking out of boredom at the annual Christmas celebration of lighting the tree. Oops! They are caught by the town’s sheriff and are given community service to undo the wrongs they have done. Oh yeah! Together Jordan and Nick are assigned the job of doing any and all menial jobs needed at the Collier’s Creek Christmas Bash. What neither of the guys realize is that in their mid-twenties they are both looking for meaningful relationships. They are tired of the bachelor life especially since they have almost gone through all the eligible women and men in the small-town. Nick is gay and has had a crush on Jordan for a long time. Jordan is straight but has a very hard time settling down with any of the women in town. And of course, he has a reputation as a mess-up (not exactly the word used to describe him in the book)!
If you enjoy humor with your gay romance, you will truly like this gay-for-him Christmas story. One of the things that I liked best is that Ms. McIntyre had Jordan accept his attraction to Nick without personal recriminations or awkwardness. I couldn’t put it down. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2024Nick and Jordan are best friends.
A night of overindulging in drinking has them getting into shenanigans downtown at the Christmas tree.
Getting caught leads to them being voluntold to help anyone and everyone throughout the holiday festivities.
Nick has always had feelings for Jordan and now being pushed into forced proximity has all of it bubbling back up.
Jordan has never thought of Nick that way, but that's suddenly changing the more time they spend together.
I really loved seeing their solid friendship
slowly evolve into something much better.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2024I’ll be honest, I picked this up because the title cracked me up. But I read this book in one sitting because I was so sucked into their friends-to-lovers romance. Jordan was such a mess and I worried he would mess things up. I’m glad I was wrong. I loved the acceptance the characters experienced through the whole story. Their chemistry kept me hanging on each word. Such a gift. This will join my favorite holiday books of all time list for sure! It’s my first read by this author and it will be the first of many!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2024Kat McIntyre is an instant read for me and yet again she has rocked it and hit a book out of the park!
Best friends to forever is my favorite and this one with a bi-awakening was perfect!! After being forced to do a round of Christmas community service Jordan and Nick grow closer and closer… Burning up the sheets the whole way.
Dual first person POV
Spicy scenes are delicious
and as always Kat delivers on shenanigans.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2024A SWEET AND CUTE READ THAT I LIKED ALOT.
I loved seeing the developing relationship between Nick and Jordan. A wonderful friend to lovers read. These two are fantastic. Well written and just made me happy to read!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2024This was a good story to kick off this multi-author series and there is something adorable about friends to lovers especially at the holiday season.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2024I absolutely loved this story. This was a wonderfully sweet story about two clueless best friends, a bi awakening and a crazy bet. These two were so sweet and hot together and I really enjoyed their story.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2024I’ll be Boned for Christmas by Katherine McIntyre is part of the Collier’s Creek Christmas series by various authors. It is the story of two men who have known each other since childhood and finally realize they are right for each other and find love. Jordan Ellis is known throughout the town of Collier’s Creek, Wyoming, for his pranks and never taking anything seriously. He’s now in his mid-twenties and still acts that way, always restless and seeking fun. He is an auto mechanic at Gage’s Auto and has a huge family that is always around and he has dated lots of girls but not for long. What he really seeks is someone that sees more than the town troublemaker and wants him for his real self. Nick Levine, or Rogue as his friends call him, has been friends with Jordan since they were kids. He always went along with his crazy ideas and liked being with him. His sister is getting married and has moved away which has left him in his house by himself and he is very lonely, especially since he works from home for a graphic design firm so he enjoys spending time in town with his friends. He also needs a + one for her wedding and since he likes men he has had a hard time finding someone to go with him. Then at the Collier’s Creek Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Jordan has one of his half-brained ideas and after drinking some whiskey he talks his friends into streaking in the freezing cold. Unfortunately he and Nick get caught by the sheriff and get community service for their trouble. They are to help get the town ready for the Christmas Bash by doing whatever is needed. This makes them spend even more time together and with Jordan wanting to reevaluate his game plan they end up at a bar after helping out and decide to try something new by fooling around in the bathroom. Nick wasn’t sure what was going on and didn’t know if this was going to be a one time thing but Jordan wanted more and made up a list of things he wanted to try so they had lots of very hot love scenes. All this time they were falling for each other with Jordan realizing that Nick was hot, creative, and loyal and Nick liked that Jordan was unpredictable, considerate, reliable, and always showed up. The more they were together the more they realized they were each other’s person. It took an incident the last night of the Christmas Bash for them to declare their love for each other. I enjoyed this book. Jordan was a major creator of the unexpected that often got him in trouble. As he grew older he realized he wanted to be more than his reputation. Nick always went along with Jordan because he liked him so much but didn’t think they could have a future together. He was so happy when Jordan wanted to be with him. The townspeople and their families also played a big part in their story, often being somewhat exasperated at the things they got up to, but were also supportive when they came out as boyfriends. The one thing that was off-putting to me was the feeling I had that at their ages they just needed to grow up. But I was happy that they found each other and were planning to move forward together. I recommend this book if you like Christmas stories with bi awakening, friends to lovers, men who like to play pranks, and finding love when they see each other for who they really are.

5.0 out of 5 stars Naughty but Nice
Wonderful story of Jordan and Nick, friends from the same small town who find themselves in trouble, again, and have to do some community service. Loved these characters and loved watching the realization of their feelings and their relationship change. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute
Aww this was such a heartwarming story. Jordan and Nick have been friends for years but whisky , some streaking across a field ,getting thrown in the drunk tank and a conversation about their lack of dating bring them together in the sweetest of ways.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, low-angst holiday story
4/5 This was a sweet, low-angst holiday story, as friends Nick and Jordan realise that they can be more to one another. I liked how the two of them had such a solid friendship, and that didn’t change even as they started experimenting. It’s pretty clear that Nick has fancied Jordan for a long time, but it was lovely to watch Jordan realise that maybe what he’s been searching for has been right in front of him all this time. They make a cute couple, and they definitely seem a lot happier together.
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.
