Bloody hell! There’s nothing more delectable than a forbidden and tempting romance and that’s precisely what Bossy Nights is, brilliantly and powerfully forbidden. This book was a great surprise for me as this was the author’s first book I had read (& not the last). From the beginning right to the end I felt utterly captivated! I felt furious butterflies while reading it and the storyline just felt so good and wholly outstanding. It flourished sweet and forbidden like cherry blossoms. The characters were completely likeable (Tessa could be one of your besties) and the plot and writing were extraordinary. The heroine aka Tessa is a lovely, shy, innocent young woman fresh out of college. She is looking for “the dream job” in a new city on her own but what she doesn’t expect is a sexy stranger she locks eyes with at a bar that incites feelings she’s never felt before to be the owner of the company she’s applying for a job. He ignited a fire deep inside her and the strict no fraternization rules will be a bucket of cold water such a tempting trouble! On the other side we have Barclay. He is a strong, powerful man with an intense and demanding side that will make your blood hot. His presence commands attention and dominance. After breaking up with his long-time girlfriend, he’s come to perceive that relationships are not made for him until a blonde beauty crashes into his life, making him lose his mind because he will feel things he’s never felt before. The interaction between Tessa and Barclay is uniquely hot. Provocative and seductive as hell! The sexual tension is not a game between those two. It is lustful. It is sweet. And it is forbidden. The sparks fly everytime they are together consuming their souls. Their romance is like a modern fairy tale where the angry, possessive knight in dark (Armani suit) armour falls in love with the innocent and virginal maiden. It is insanely poetic and lovely. Liv Morris did a formidable job on this book gem. I enjoyed being consumed into a whole new world and not coming out of it until it’s finished but even then I’m left thinking about it for a while, like an unforgettable experience that you want to repeat. Tessa and Barclay won a very especial place in my heart.

    Barcly Hammond, a gorgeous man spots her in a restaurant and sparks fly instantly, they have no clue what’s about to happen.
    In the area of physical intimacy,Tessa is completely inexperienced and Barcly is well versed on the subject.
    Totally opposite upbringing, lifestyle and a big age difference.
    She lands her dream job but it comes with a huge price.
    The story is sweet and filled with angst but they both are completely drawn to one another throughout the book. Tessa being sweet and trusting while Barcly isn’t afraid to show his caveman side.
    I thought for sometime that Creepy Spears would ruin things or stir the pot by spewing out hateful innuendos about Tessa and Barcly and embellishing on the trench coat situation but I was I glad he was kept at bay.
    Maggie, an absolute sweetheart guides and nudges her best friend from across the miles and their relationship is priceless.
    Oh my goodness, Miles calling NYPD is absolutely hysterical.
    I love the relationship The Holly family has and I felt bad for Miles driving from AL to NY with Maggie, I’d love to have been on that road trip 😀
    Leave it to Momma Hammond to come up with a plan to keep Tessa working and the relationship intact.
    Barcly is the perfect gentleman in every way imaginable, he spoils and pampers Tessa adoringly and lovingly.

    You need to read this book, it’s a perfect way to have some me time.
    It was too short of a book in my opinion.
    In all honesty I bought the book because Stuart Reardon graced the cover, he’s my book boyfriend and I’ve never been disappointed in any book I’ve chosen that way.
    I can add this book to my list of must have in paperback.
    I did want to read about how he proposal and meeting the Holly family but I’ll wait for my outtake email.
    Get the book and spend a few hours with a bottle of Prosecco, Barcly and Tessa, you won’t be disappointed.

    The story isn’t bad but I feeel like something is missing. It’s like the book jumps from the introduction to the finale, without any big problem so solve in the middle.

    Too fairy tale for my taste. Only goood things happen to Tessa. She gets the job and the man without struggling.

    Barclay couldn’t get Tessa out of his mind; he knows he can’t resist her, and they decide they won’t and decide to make things official.
    Barclay didn’t really want to know about the new hire they were having, he just agreed to what they suggested to secure the contract with the person they said was perfect.
    They struggle when they realise that they will be working at the same company, the pull is there but nothing they can do about it, Tessa even decides she can’t live without Barclay and decides that resigning is the only way, until Barclay lets her know it’s not accepted and wants to meet her.

Tessa is trying to find a job in New York City in the publishing Arena. She is just out of college and from Alabama. Her and her best friend Maggie have dreamed of since they were teenagers. Barclay is the CEO of Hammond publishing. They meet by accident in the hotel bar, then later in his Assistance Office. Barclay struggles with age difference in Tessa struggles with wanting to find a job without Barclays assistance. This breakdown sounds a little mundane and boring, but I promise you the book is not. Definitely worth the read. Looking forward to more from this author

    This was such a fun read!! One of my favourites of 2018. The sweet, innocent Tessa Holly wants to make her mark in New York. A chance encounter with Barclay Hammond grows into so much more. This one is told in dual POV (my favourite) and the author did a fantastic job of combining the right amount of sweet and heat. It was a really fast paced read with great dialogue, plenty of humour and just a touch of alpha. Definitely recommend this one.
