This was an adorable easy read. The characters were great and though there wasn't much romance, it was sweet.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book is a fun summer read. I like how the author manages to describe the realization that one needs to grow up, and the process of becoming an adult in the world, without being heavy handed about it. It reminded me that being an adult doesn't mean abandoning the silliness and fun of childhood.

Normally I'm not a fan of stories that change back and forth in viewpoint. This author skillfully did so. It earned 5 stars because I had a hard time leaving the story...I just had to find out what came next. Kudos to the author!

Caitlin and Dan are thrown together over preparations for a children's birthday party and begin to see each other in a new light. Leaving behind some selfish and childish ideas brings two people together in a way neither imagined.

This was a perfect summer read and I’m really glad that book 2 is out because it ends before you notice!!! The characters felt real and authentic, so believable!!! All I can say is Diane Michaels, Keep Writing!!!!

This story was a lot of fun. It centres around Caitlin and Dan, who have known each other for years - but Caitlin has always been put off by Dan's immaturity to consider him a serious partner. This starts to change when Dan realises his current behaviour might not be the best way to impress someone like Caitlin, a woman he has always found intriguing.

I love Diane's gentle story-telling, and how the romance creeps up on you. It feels very real and very sweet. Highly recommend.

I am certainly a fan of Diane Michaels books. This light, friendly romance is an easy summer read. You will enjoy the story about a self employed lady who lives in a tiny house, the family where she is currently ‘parked’ and a couple of potentially romantic encounters along the way. Looking forward to the future adventures of the King & Queen!
