Bound to the Sinner (Underworld Sinners Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 180 ratings

Do soulmates exist, or are they forged in fire? If love is set free, will it ever truly return—or was it never yours to begin with?

Ksenia Pasternak was never given a choice. Handed over as a child, she learned early that freedom was an illusion. Her life controlled by men who saw her as nothing more than currency. For a decade, she has been running—hiding in the shadows, severing every tie, refusing to belong to anyone ever again. Relationships are chains, and she’s already worn enough to last a lifetime.

Grisha Antonov made a mistake. He was offered a girl when he was too young, too ruthless, and too willing to accept a deal he should have refused. He should have demanded money, not a life. Not her. He accepted the trade, a decision that has haunted him ever since.

Now, a ghost from their past has clawed his way out of one of Russia’s most brutal prisons, and Grisha knows one thing for certain—he will kill to keep Ksenia safe. He knows only one truth—Ksenia is no longer running. Because this time, he won’t let her.

She belongs to him. But the deeper truth? He has always belonged to her. Bound. Owned. Connected. Whether she wants it or not.

Born and raised in the Central Valley in California. My husband and I moved to Oregon while he was in the US Coast Guard and then to Texas for ten years before recently relocating to North Carolina. We spend our time with our two sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!

This a dark romance. This is (Underworld Sinners Book 2). I love Hayley Faimans books. Guaranteed great story every time. I have a habit of reading from the start when a series has a new book out. Very few books do I do that with. Congratulations , Hayley another hit out of the park

This is the second book in the Russian Torpedo series by Haley Faiman. In this book, we meet Ksenia, a daughter of the Bratva, given to Grisha when she was 13 years old. In hiding, Ksenia ran from Grisha, ran from her father, ran from her past, ran from love. As a Torpedo, Grisha is bound to obey those in charge. Receiving Ksenia as payment when she a child, Grisha waited for her to come of age (by Russian law) before he took her as his - owned and bound. Possessed but not claimed.

After a couple of years with Grisha, Ksenia runs and hides. A decade later, her past overruns her present. Once again she finds herself found and bound. Grisha is hardcore Torpedo. He is a little rough around the edges. Dominant. Sexy. Yet, something tender is just under the skin. Ksenia has grown into her own while a part from Grisha. No longer content to accept whatever he does or says, yet loving him so much she wants to believe he has changed.

Can Ksenia believer Grisha has changed, as he claims? Will they ever be free from those one who seeks to kill her? Will Grisha put Ksenia first, truly treating her as if she is his home?

This is my first book by Ms. Faiman, but it will not be my last. I truly enjoyed the characters and found myself looking up Russian words and foods to more fully understand certain scenes. Great writing and dialogue. Grisha captured my heart for sure. Looking forward to purchasing the first book in the series, Stolen by the Sinner, and even more so to Kazimar and Natasha's story.

This book is so fast moving and fun. Ksenia was given to Grisha as a young lady and she left. This is a second chance romance story. Grisha finds her when there is danger coming for Ksenia. Both are strong people their story is so good. I enjoyed this story. Looking forward to Hayley's next book.

I read the first book and it was good. Now I am on to this second book with Grisha Antonov. Along with the storyline, Grisha was given a man’s daughter as part of a job. He refused until Ksenia was of age. Well. Grisha was an alpha jerk and behaved poorly with Ksenia ran away from the life because she loved him. However twenty-four year old Grisha wanted to party and sample all the available women that came along with his lifestyle. Now danger is back and Grisha knows that he must help Ksenia. I enjoyed this book but Ksenia irked me most times because she didn’t stand her ground and gave into Grisha immediately. I had hope that she would make him work for getting her back. Read On!

This is the second book in this fascinating series and is Grisha and Ksenia’s journey. Ksenia was given to Grisha when she was just 13-years old, but he patiently waited until she came off age before claiming her. Ksenia wants nothing to do with the mafia life, and runs, but she cannot hide forever, and when her life is in danger Grisha will do whatever, he must to protect and keep her safe. This is a well written fast paced story, which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, with drama, suspense, danger, twists, and is a sweet addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I always highly recommend.

I am pretty sure this is going to get me in trouble, but what's a review without honesty. I think I liked Stolen by the Sinner (Book 1) better than Bound to the Sinner (Book 2). I know! I feel like that should be blasphemy.

In Book 1, Holland didn't know she was the payment for a completed job. When she meets Danill in a bar one night, she simply believes there is a mutual attraction. It begs the question: Can a women be stolen if she voluntarily leaves with the bad man? It's this theme that resonates throughout the whole story. In Book 2, there's a new twist to the same tale.

Don't get me wrong! I thoroughly enjoyed Book 1, and I went into Book 2 believing the same would happen. I can honestly say that I was mesmerized by the plot. It's a simple story that packs a punch. Ksenia didn't have a choice. She's his property but yearns for a real relationship. Ksenia eventually realizes there's no hope, so she runs.

If I had to break my review down even further, I gave this book 4 stars based on the character development. Life has not been kind to either one of them. They are both tragically flawed, but that's not the issue. It's the lack of growth to resolve those issues that are a problem. Grisha realizes what his previous mistakes were. However, he never actively shows Ksenia that he's a changed man or that life will be different. In turn, she still has doubt that if she lets Grisha in again, she'll be burned. There's no big moment where you can say this is it. This is the moment that they have grown and now are ready to be together.

Fast paced story with great characters. Ksenia is given as payment to Grisha when she is 13 years old. While Ksenia is in hiding she runs away from everything, past, father and present. Once she's of age Grisha takes her as his. After time she runs from Grisha, even though she loves him and it's 10 years later he come to get her again. Grisha is very dominant and sexy, this time around he's decided that he wants to keep her in his life and keep her safe. When danger is after Ksenia, Grisha brings her home. They are both strong willed and hope for a better second chance together. Does Grisha change for Ksenia? Can she learn to trust him? This is another great story by Hayley Faiman. Hope to read more.. Ahhh Grisha and Ksenia. So much angst, so many misunderstandings, there’s betrayal but ultimately there is love an devotion. Hayley can definitely write ‘mafia romance’ and this one ticks all the boxes. This is turning out to be a fabulous series
